Single glazing by means of panes with a U-shaped cross-section Under the name Profilitbauglas, panes with a U-shaped cross section are known for the production of glazing.
Such panes are mainly used for the produc- tion of double glazing by the panes with their profile openings against each other gerich tet and with their profile legs nested upright in a cross-sectionally U-shaped, the glazing facing part of the frame profile between tween the parallel legs of this profile cemented will.
The same U-shaped panes can also be used to produce single glazing by inserting the panes with their profile legs next to one another and lined up with their profile webs in one plane in the same profile as for the double glazing. This has the disadvantage, however, that from the inside of the glazing the profile opening of the lined-up panes allows a view of the web of the frame profile and thus of the various fasteners for fastening the frame profile over this web with the masonry or with other frame profiles. This is aesthetically unsatisfactory, all the more so as this open channel tends to get dirty quickly.
In addition, condensation water that forms on the inside of the building runs directly into this channel.
The single glazing according to the invention by means of panes U-shaped in cross-section, which are BEFE Stigt next to each other between parallel legs of a frame profile, avoids the above-mentioned disadvantages in that the profile opening of the U's of each pane in the frame by a part that can be attached to one leg of the frame profile with a is covered in the profile opening protruding surface. In the drawing, the parts required for understanding of an exemplary embodiment of a single glazing according to the invention are shown.
It shows: Fig. 1 is a perspective view of part of the lower horizontal edge of the glazing with schematically indicated frame profile, and Fig. 2 is a cross section along the line II-II of FIG. 1. In the drawing, 1 denotes a frame profile with against the Glazing open U-cross section formed by a web 2 and legs 3, 4 parallel to one another.
In the channel formed by this U, U-shaped disks 6 are arranged side by side with their profile legs lying against one another and with their profile web in a plane in cross section. The profile opening of the panes 6 is open towards the inside of the building and the profile webs of the panes run along the web 3 of the frame 2 outside the building. The fastening of the panes 6 on the outside of the building is represented by a sealing element 7 and a cement compound 8 (FIG. 2).
The profile openings of the panes 6, which open a view into the channel 5, are each covered by a part 9. Each of these parts 9, which are preferably made of plastic, consists of a channel 10 by means of which this part 9 can be plugged onto the free end of the leg 4 of the frame on the inside of the building. The length of this channel 10 corresponds to the distance from one profile leg of a disc 6 to the other, so that the sequence of the attached parts 9 covers the entire edge of the leg 4 of the frame inside the building.
Reduced in length by the thickness of the disks 6, protrudes on each part 9 when it is placed in the profile opening of the disk 6, the free edge of which follows a level line of the disk 6 associated with it and covers the entire profile opening thereof. This free edge tapers at its end as shown at 12. This flap, which has become elastic due to its thinness, bends upwards when the part 9 is inserted along the pane 6 and forms a collecting channel for condensation water flowing downwards on the inside of the building, which is diverted into a recess 13 in the surface 11. No condensation can get into the frame profile in this way.
