Eccentric screw pump The invention relates to an eccentric screw pump.
Eccentric screw pumps contain a rotor, which is helically wound and has circular cross-sections, and a stator, in which a cavity is also worked into. The pitch of the stator is twice as large as that of the rotor. The rotor is usually made of a rigid material such. B. made of steel. The stator material is preferably an elastic material, for. B. a plastic (Elasto mer) is used.
The superimposition of the different pitches of the rotor and stator results in closed cavities that progress in the axial direction when the rotor rotates. The resulting suction and displacement effect causes a continuous flow of the conveyed medium. In addition to its rotary motion, the rotor also performs a radial back and forth motion.
An eccentric screw pump is particularly suitable for pumping inhomogeneous media that are difficult to flow. It is also used to promote z. B. Liquid manure with straw and other material residues, from slaughterhouse waste, which may contain textiles, and from sewage with string-like foreign substances of various kinds. The long-fiber or string-like foreign substances in such pumping media must not become tangled and cause blockages in or behind the pump.
In order to prevent this particularly effectively in an eccentric screw pump of the type mentioned and thereby avoid a narrowing of the passage cross section and an inhibition of the conveyance with the cutting unit, according to the invention, the eccentric screw pump with a cutting unit in a vestibule on the suction side is provided , which is drive-connected to the rotor of the pump.
The cutting mechanism preferably consists of a cutting ring firmly connected to the pump housing, the opening of which has a serrated or corrugated cutting edge, and a cooperating cutting wheel with a spiral, designed as a knife edge, which participates in both the rotary movement and the oscillating movement of the worm rotor Spoke.
It can be advantageous in connection with this to arrange a spring device in such a way that the cutting wheel and the cutting ring are constantly in contact with one another under elastic axial pressure.
The advantage of the invention is that the passage cross-section between the cutting ring and the cutting wheel at the entry point between the rotor and stator can be relatively large and the spiral-shaped knife spoke only slightly reduces this cross-section, while at the same time due to the oscillating movement and the rotary movement of the cutting wheel in In connection with the design of both cutter elements, a particularly effective inevitable shredding of the foreign matter contained in the conveying medium is achieved.
In the following, the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing voltage: FIGS. 1 and 2 show an embodiment of an eccentric screw pump according to the invention in two sectional views.
1 is the pump housing with suction nozzle 2 and pressure nozzle 3. 4 is the stator and 5 is the rotor of the eccentric screw pump. The cutting unit in the vestibule on the suction side consists of the cutting ring 6 and the cutting wheel 7. A Federein direction which presses the two cutting unit elements ela stically against each other is not shown.
It could be formed in a manner known per se by a Sta pel resilient washers, which is arranged between the hub of the cutting wheel 7 and the body of the rotor 5, on which the cutting wheel-bearing pin 8 of the rotor. Fig. 1 shows the serrated cutting edge of the cutting ring 6 and their co-operation with the cutting ring 7 particularly clearly, as well as the relatively large, through the components of the cutting mechanism hardly reduced ver passage cross-section.
