Description
Method for producing gypsum-containing structural parts and a structural part produced therefrom. The invention relates to a method for producing gypsum-containing structural parts and a structural part produced therefrom. These structural parts can be prefabricated structural elements or parts of a structure produced on site.
The invention aims at the production of gypsum-containing structural parts which are characterized by lower weight, better thermal insulation properties and greater strength than the structural parts previously known only from gypsum.
The method according to the invention for producing gypsum-containing structural parts is characterized in that a mass is produced which, in addition to gypsum, also contains expanded clay, and from which the structural part is formed.
The gypsum-containing structural part according to the invention is characterized in that, in addition to gypsum, it also contains expanded clay.
The structural elements according to the invention have the advantage that they are cheaper than those made of plaster, since expanded clay is cheaper per unit volume than plaster, that they are lighter, since expanded clay has a volume weight of 300 to 100 kg per cubic meter, while pure gypsum has a volume weight of around 1000 kg per cubic meter and that they are stronger, since the strength of the gypsum can be increased by adding expanded clay. It has also been shown that the insulation ability against moisture as well as against cold or heat can be improved by adding expanded clay.
Expanded clay is a clay that has expanded in the furnace and which has been used to date instead of sand together with lime and cement for the production of pressed construction elements or instead of sand and gravel together with cement for the production of lightweight concrete. Such expanded clay is commercially available in various grain sizes, e.g. B. under the registered trademark Leca.
An embodiment of the method according to the invention and a Bauwerkstei les produced therefrom will be described below.
A pourable mass is produced, which contains 1 part by volume of plaster of paris, to which 1 part by volume of screed plaster is added as a retarder, while another 2 parts by volume of the pourable mass of expanded clay with a grain size of 0 to 20 mm, preferably 3-20 mm and the setting of the plaster required chen in the usual way calculated amount of water. Instead of part of the expanded clay, gravel or sand, pumice gravel or brick chippings can of course be incorporated into the mixture as further fillers with a corresponding reduction in the properties produced by the expanded clay.
