In der Zeichnung sind Ausführungsbeispiele des Er findungsgegenstandes vereinfacht dargestellt: Fig. 1-3 zeigen einige Bauelemente in perspektivi scher Darstellung; Fig. 4 die Montage in halbfertigem Zustand, in per spektivischer Darstellung;
Fig.5 einen femtig montierten Abschlussrand und einen Teil der Dachabdeckung in perspektivischer Dar- stellung; Fig. 6-8 einige Details ,in ,schaubildlicher Darstellung bzw.im Schnitt;
Closing edge in flat roofs The present invention relates to a closing edge in flat roofs. A finishing edge is always required on flat roofs so that rainwater falling on the roof does not run down the wall. Up to now a parapet has usually been built for this purpose, which the plumber had to cover more or less with sheet metal in order to create a connection for the waterproof covering of the roof.
Another complication is the layer of cork or styrofoam often used on flat roofs for thermal insulation, which also has to end at the edge of the roof. The invention creates a new end edge that looks pleasing, in which positions can be mounted and is also cheaper than the conventional design because the wall work for the parapet can be eliminated. The terminating edge according to the invention is characterized by holders fastened at a distance from one another on the edge of the roof, which is designed without a parapet,
on which an edge strip having a substantially T-shaped profile in cross section is attached, specifically in such a way that the transverse bar of the T profile forms the visible side.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in simplified form: FIGS. 1-3 show some components in a perspective view; 4 shows the assembly in the half-finished state, in a perspective view;
5 shows a remotely mounted end edge and part of the roof covering in a perspective illustration; Fig. 6-8 some details, in, diagrammatic representation or in section;
9 and 10 completely assembled end strips in different arrangements in section.
Fig. 1 shows a, essentially, in cross section a T-shaped cross-sectional profile having edge strip 1, of which 2 is the visible side and 3 is a ge certain texture (fine ridges) having contact surface for the waterproof cover. The upper half 4 of the front wall is angled to give the profile more rigidity when a ladder is leaned against the ledge.
At the lower edge, the profile is angled at 5 and has a dovetail-shaped groove 6 in cross section. A cross-section hook-shaped bar 7 is used for attachment. The profile is made of aluminum in lengths of 4-6 m.
Fig. 2 shows a bar 10 made of heat-insulating material (cork or styrofoam) with a retaining spring 11 extending over the entire length, which example is made of galvanized iron sheet.
FIG. 3 shows a comb 12 made of sheet metal, the purpose of which will be explained later, and FIG. 4 shows a holder 15 during assembly on the edge 16 of a flat roof which has no parapet. The holders 15 comprise an angular piece 17 and a straight piece of flat iron 18 which are welded together at 19.
20 is a pin serving as a stop and 21 is an angled sheet metal strip serving as a stop, which is fastened at the bottom of the flat iron 18 by spot welds. At regular intervals such holders 15 are ent long the whole edge of the roof nüttes two ver lowered screws 22 and dowels 23 attached.
Fzg.5 shows the edge of the roof -fastened edge strip 1. The assembly takes place in the following order: After the holders 15 have been attached, the strips 10-11 (Fig. 2) are inserted into these holders. At the front end (outside of the roof) they are held under the bracket part 17 and cannot move further forward because the pins 20 form a stop.
At the rear, the strips 10-11 are held by the combs 12. For this purpose, who inserted the two teeth of the comb into the spring 11, while the back of the comb is guided behind the strip 21 along.
The strip 21 together with the comb 12 are now bent over together until they rest on the heat-insulating plates 30 of the roof insulation. This is clearly visible in Fig. 8 and -Fig. 6 shows the shape of the bent comb 12. The prerequisite for this is that the thicknesses of the plates 30 and the strip 10 are the same. After the strips 10-11 have been connected to the holders 15 in this way, the edge strip 1 can be attached to the holders.
For this purpose, the lower edge of the holder is first brought under the lowest edge of the holder and then the bar 7, which is hooked in cross section, is pressed into the slot-shaped opening of the retaining spring 11, where it is held by the spring, as FIG. 7 clearly shows.
At those points where the teeth of the comb 12 engage in the slot of the retaining spring 11, the bar 7, which is hooked in cross section, rests against these teeth and the spring does not come into engagement. A little off, however, it attacks again.
Since both the bar 7 and the spring 11 extend over the entire circumference of the roof, this does not matter. This is all the more so since the finished roof still has ballast on surface 3 of the edge profile. On the plates 30 who namely three layers of roofing felt 31 glued by means of hot tar or bitumen.
For better sealing, the ends of the roofing felt layers overlap on the surface 3, which, as described, has fine grooves for better adhesion. Depending on whether the roof is to be accessible or not, a layer of sand 32 and gravel 33 or just gravel are applied at the end, which at the same time form a protective and ballast layer for the roofing felt underneath.
In FIGS. 9 and 10, the fully assembled end edge is shown in section. The two figures differ in that the edge in FIG. 9 protrudes against the wall by the dimension H1, and in FIG. 10 as little as possible by the dimension H2. To protect the heat-insulating layer from penetrating water,
which the wind may drive up on the wall, a sealing strip 35 with a sealing strip 36 made of rubber is attached in the embodiment according to FIG. 9, the latter lying against the wall.
This up processing strip is held by means of bent sheet metal strips 37 which are attached to the holder 15. In a somewhat different position, the same sealing strip 35, 36 can also be used in a different installation, the terminating edge being installed in a position that it projects less than the dimension H1 against the wall.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 10, the end edge projects as little as possible against the wall. In this case, the rubber sealing strip 36 is set directly into the dovetail groove 6 of the profile 1 and rests against the wall.
