Im: oberen offenen ,Ende der Giesspfanne 2 ist !ein haubenförmiger Deckel 32 aus feuerfestem Material schwimmend auf'der in der Pfanne enthaltenen Schmelze 34 angeordnet. Der ;Deckel, welcher einen kalotten- förnniggen Boden 36 und einen nach unten gerichteten zylindrischen Rand 38 aufweist, ist in einem Galgen 40 vertikal verschiebbar geführt. Der ;
Casting vessel for metallic melts The present invention relates to a casting vessel for metallic melts.
In casting vessels for metallic melts, e.g. B. ladles, it is known to provide heat sources in order to maintain an optimal casting temperature while avoiding changes in the analysis of the melt during the entire casting time. The fulfillment of this requirement, which has been tried, for example, by using induction heating, is quite difficult.
Particular problems arise where a pouring ladle with a bottom outlet and stopper must be used, since the stopper is exposed to increased wear due to the higher temperature. That being said, the Füh tion of the stopper in such, usually provided with lid ver provided ladles difficulties.
The present invention aims to create a casting vessel which avoids the aforementioned difficulties.
The pouring vessel according to the invention for metallic melts, in particular pouring ladle or intermediate vessel for the continuous casting, with a lid, a heat source arranged in the pouring vessel for keeping warm: the melt and a bottom outlet, is characterized in that the heat source is provided by a heat source on the bottom of the Cover arranged heating rod is formed.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the casting vessel according to the invention are shown. Show it:
1 shows a ladle of a continuous casting unit in vertical section and FIG. 2 shows a vertical section through an intermediate vessel connected downstream of a ladle, likewise in a continuous casting plant.
With 2 in FIG. 1 is generally a ladle which is held in a manner not shown in detail above a schematically shown intermediate vessel 4, the intermediate vessel in turn being provided above a mold 6 of the continuous casting plant.
The pouring ladle 2, the z.'B. Has a circular cross-section and narrows slightly conically from top to bottom, has a metallic jacket 8 and a refractory lining 10. penetrated by an outlet opening 14: which by: a. generally with 16 designated slide shutter of known design lockable .ist.
The slide closure 1.6 has a horizontally movable slide 18 which is connected to a piston rod 20 with a z. B. hydraulically acted upon piston 22 is connected in a cylinder 24.
In its wall part 26, the pouring ladle 2 has an inlet nozzle 28 which, at its inner end, is connected to a gas-permeable stone 30, while its outer end is connected to a source of inert gas (not shown).
In the upper open end of the pouring ladle 2, a hood-shaped lid 32 made of refractory material is arranged floating on the melt 34 contained in the ladle. The cover, which has a dome-shaped base 36 and a downwardly directed cylindrical edge 38, is guided in a boom 40 so as to be vertically displaceable. Of the ;
The inner space 42 of the lid, which is delimited by the bottom 36 and the edge 38, is penetrated by a diametrically extending .Heizstab 44 made of graphite and contains (the mouth 46 of a line 48, the z.
B. to: the same source of inert gas is connected as the vein nozzle 28. The ends 50 of the heating rod protruding laterally from the cover 32 are connected via conductors 52 to a current source, not shown.
The arrangement of the heating rod 44 on the cover 32 has the advantage that it can be pulled up together with the cover for the pouring ladle 2 to be moved away for charging and does not impair the charging process. Due to the floating arrangement of the hood-shaped lid:
on .the melt. it is ensured that the lid and thus also the heating rod retain their position on the surface,
so that constant conditions always prevail for the heat transfer through radiation. In this case, the heating rod 44 can be sealed in the interior 42 of the cover and the supply of protective gas through the line 48 in an inert a'dmo-sphase
work that reduces the oxidation of the melt and the wear and tear of the heating element and can easily be maintained. The lining of the pouring ladle is protected from radiation from the barren heating element, even when the bath level drops:
with which the wear of the lining can be kept small. Due to the periodic or at most constant supply of inert gas into the melt through the nozzle 28 and the stone 30 it is possible to approximately, during the heating in the entire bath,
to reach the same temperature, since the gas bubbles rising in the melt cause a turbulence in the same. Of course, it is possible to have several stones 30 and nozzles 28 attached to one another in:
Provide distanced places in the circumferential direction of the socket. Through the line 48 can of course also a protective gas; forming substance, e.g. B. Graphä: tstaub are introduced into the interior 42.
In any case, a change in the steel quality can be prevented when the melt is heated.
Instead of arranging the pan in such a way that it can be moved, the boom 40 can of course also be pivotable so that the cover can be pivoted away after it has been lifted off in order to expose the opening of the pouring pan 2.
It is also conceivable not to place the cover 32 directly on the melt 34, but rather accordingly. to raise and lower their level above the gallows 40.
It is also possible to put the lid on the ladle itself. A protective gas atmosphere can also be generated over the melt or the space above the melt can be evacuated.
It is also possible, by regulating: the vacuum, to influence the ferrousbatic pressure @ when the level changes in the sense of a compensation.
A pouring vessel with a lid placed directly on is shown in FIG. It is an intermediate vessel as: it is indicated in FIG. 1 at 4.
The intermediate vessel, generally designated 60 in FIG. 2, which is supplied with melt 64 from a ladle 62, has a container part 68 covered by a lid 66 and a funnel part 70 open at the top.
The cover 66 is attached to a pivotable boom 72 and contains two heating rods 74 running approximately parallel to one another and a connection 76 for inert gas,
the interior 78 of which can be performed. The intermediate vessel is provided with a bottom outlet 80 which is located above the mold 82, which is shown schematically.
Since the intermediate vessel is heated in this exemplary embodiment, the pouring ladle 62 does not require any heating. It can be seen that the use of the heating rods in the lid of the intermediate vessel in the illustrated embodiment also brings the advantages according to the invention,
in that here, too, the heating rods do not hinder the movement of the dull intermediate vessel and ensure that the melt is heated while simultaneously protecting it from oxidation.
