Containers, in particular ice containers There are already containers, in particular ice containers, known with a glass insert, in which the glass insert is mounted in the outer jacket by means of an elastic ring and an elastic base support.
However, these containers have the disadvantage that when the container is turned over, which occurs particularly when cleaning, the glass insert falls out and is destroyed.
To avoid this disadvantage, according to the invention, the support ring is provided with an internal thread at its end opposite the shoulder and carries a bulge of the glass insert that defines the bulge of the glass insert in such a container whose glass insert is supported with a bulge on the shoulder of a support ring fixed in the outer jacket Threaded ring.
In this way, on the one hand, the elastic support on the bottom of the container is saved, since the glass insert now rests on the shoulder of the support ring, which is known per se. In particular, falling out of the glass insert is avoided with certainty, since the bulge of the same is clamped between the shoulder of the support ring and the screwed-in threaded ring. Nevertheless, this glass insert can easily be removed for repairs or cleaning by simply unscrewing the threaded ring.
The invention is not limited to glass inserts with a round cross-section; all other shapes can also be used. Only the support ring then has to be adapted to the different shape of the glass insert.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention, namely the partially sectioned front view of an ice container.
The outer casing 1 of the ice container consists of the lower part 2 and the cover 3. At the upper end of the lower part 2, a bulge 4 is provided in which a support ring 6, slotted transversely at 5, is mounted. This consists of an elastic plastic and is compressed into the bulge 4. The support ring 6 has at its lower end a shoulder 7 on which an elastic intermediate ring 8 is supported, which takes the annular bulge 9 of the glass insert 10 on.
In order to set the glass insert 10 against the support ring 6 and thus the lower part 2 of the outer jacket 1, the upper part of the support ring 6 is provided with thread 11 and a threaded ring 12 is screwed in, which rests against the intermediate ring 8 so that the annular bulge 9 of the Glass; Einsaitzes 10 is elastically supported, but immovable between the shoulder 7 of the support ring 6 and the threaded ring 12 is clamped.
In order to prevent the support ring 6 from rotating, the outer casing 1 has a pin 13 which protrudes into a radial bore 14 of the support ring 7. Above the threaded ring 12, a seal 15 with a sealing lip 16 is provided between the glass insert 10 and the outer jacket 1 to prevent the entry of liquid.
