Abstract
1,116,846. Glass lined containers. ERHARD & SOHNE G.m.b.H. 1 Nov., 1965 [6 Nov., 1964], No. 46069/65. Heading A4A. [Also in Division F4] An ice container has a vacuum vessel in the form of a glass lining 10 with a protuberance 9 by which it rests on a shoulder 7 of a support member 6 which is mounted in an external casing 1 and internally threaded at its upper end to receive an externally threaded ring 12 which holds the protuberance 9 in place, an intermediate elastic ring 8 being interposed between the member 6 and the protuberance. The support member 6 is formed as a ring of resilient plastics material with a transverse slot 5 which provides the degree of elasticity to hold it by elastic expansion in an enlargement of the external casing 1. A radial pin 13 prevents displacement of the ring 6. A packing 15 is provided above the ring 12.
