Dyes of the type to be used according to the invention are known from French Patent 1,391,031, which also specifies their use for dispersion dyeing from aqueous media. It could not be deduced from this whether and which dyes of this group would give excellent colorations from solution in tetrachlorethylene under the conditions of the process according to the invention.
French patent specification 1,581,325 generally discloses textile dyeing from solutions of anthraquinone dyes in organic solvents. It has been shown that the dye of Example 5 of this reference, although soluble in tetrachloroethane, is almost insoluble in perchlorethylene and is therefore not suitable for a padding process from this solvent. Since perchlorethylene is less toxic than tetrachloroethane, there was a need to develop per-soluble dyes.
It has also been shown that, according to the relevant information from the publication, no useful colorations can be produced. Surprisingly, the dyes used according to the invention, despite their high solubility in tetrachlorethylene, provide dyeings with the required fastness properties, in particular heat-setting and solvent fastness, plus considerable advantages of the process in terms of preparation of the solutions, recovery of the solvent and waste water purity.
The dyes used according to the invention for dyeing from tetrachlorethylene are obtained by processes known per se, for example by reacting suitable aminoanthraquinones with cyanuric acid halides and subsequent condensation of the resulting 2,4-dihalo-6- (1-anthraquinonylamino) - 1,3,5-triazines with one or more primary or secondary amines, the condensation with two different amines either with a mixture of these amines or in stages.
The synthetic textile fiber materials to be dyed by the process according to the invention are, in particular, fiber materials made of polyesters, e.g. B. polyethylene terephthalate or polyester from 1,4-bis- (hydroxymethyl) -cyclohexane and terephthalic acid, from cellulose triacetate, from synthetic polyamides such as poly-E-caprolactam, polyhexamethylene diamine adipate or poly-co-aminoun- decanoic acid,
made of polyurethanes, polyolefins or polycarbonates. The fiber materials can be in the form of woven and knitted fabrics.
For dyeing, the dyes to be used according to the invention are dissolved in tetrachlorethylene and impregnated with the clear dye solutions obtained, which optionally contain non-ionic auxiliaries which are still soluble to improve the levelness of the dyeings, eg.
B. the well-known surface-active Äthoxylierungs- and Propoxyherungsprodukte get from fatty alcohol, alkylphenols, fatty acid amides and fatty acids, ent can keep the synthetic fiber materials.
The dyes are then fixed on the fiber materials by means of a heat treatment. The heat treatment can consist of a brief dry heat treatment at 120-230 ° C., with the dry heat treatment optionally being preceded by intermediate drying, or in a treatment of the fiber materials in superheated solvent vapor of 100-150 ° C. Small non-fixed dyestuff proportions can be achieved by short Treat with the cold organic solvent wash out.
It should be pointed out that mixtures of the dyes to be used according to the invention sometimes give a better color yield than the individual dyes and, if appropriate, show better solubility in the organic medium.
With the aid of the process according to the invention, when dyeing from tetrachlorethylene on synthetic fiber materials, dyeings are achieved which are distinguished by high dye yield, very good build-up and excellent fastness properties, in particular very good heat-setting, washing, rubbing and light fastness properties . Another advantage of the dyes to be used according to the invention is their high solubility in tetrachlorethylene, which allows dyeing to be carried out without the use of solubilizers.

9-anthrapyridone Example 73 A fabric made of polycarbonate fibers is impregnated at room temperature with a clear, yellow solution consisting of 10 parts of 2-methylamino-4- [3- (2-ethylhexoxy) propyl-amino] -6- (1 -anthraquinonylamino) -1,3,5-triazine, 7 parts of nonylphenolheptaethylene glycol ether and 983 parts of tetrachlorethylene.
After squeezing to a weight increase of 60%, the fabric is dried for one minute at 80 ° C. The dye is then fixed by heating the fabric to 190-220 ° C. for 45 seconds. The small amount of non-fixed dye is then washed out by briefly treating for 20 seconds in cold tetrachlorethylene. After drying, a clear, yellow dyeing is obtained which is distinguished by its high dye yield, very good structure and excellent fastness properties, in particular very good heat-setting, washing, rubbing and light fastness properties.
