Pipe connection The main patent relates to a pipe connection in which a coupling sleeve surrounds the abutting ends of two pipe sections with a radial spacing, means are provided which center the coupling sleeve with respect to the pipes and a hardened sealant that can be filled in liquid form the space between the sleeve and Fills pipe pieces.
The present invention relates to a further embodiment of the pipe connection according to the main patent, which is characterized in that the centering means at least three, in the vicinity of the one sleeve edge from the inner sleeve wall protruding, on the pipe wall from supporting cams and one in Surrounding the vicinity of the second sleeve edge in an inner annular groove of the sleeve and on the pipe wall supporting ring body.
Due to the radial cams on the sleeve, it is now possible to center it with respect to the pipe sections without the need for additional adjustment means, such as adjusting screws. By simply filing off the inner cam ends, diameter tolerances on the pipe sections to be connected can also be easily compensated for. Of course, for this purpose, the inner sleeve diameter, limited by the cams, is kept to a minimum, which corresponds approximately to the smallest possible diameter of the pipe sections used.
The ring body, which can be an elastic sealing ring, on the one hand supports the centering of the sleeve with respect to the pipe sections to be connected and on the other hand closes off the filling space for the casting compound, so that there is no need to attach a sleeve before filling the casting compound .
An embodiment of the subject of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which shows a pipe connection partially in section.
According to the illustration, the pipe sections 21 and 22 are butted together with their ends and the joint is wrapped with a sealing tape 23. Furthermore, the pipe ends are surrounded by a coupling sleeve 24, the inner wall of which is at a radial distance from the pipe sections 21 and 22, so that an intermediate space 25 is formed between the outer surface of the pipe sections 21 and 22 and the sleeve 24.
The centering of the sleeve 24 with respect to the tubes 21 and 22 takes place via cams 26 arranged in the vicinity of the upper sleeve edge in the illustration, of which at least three are to be provided distributed around the circumference of the sleeve for sufficient centering. These cams protrude radially inward and are supported on the Mantelflä surface of the pipe section 21.
The centering of the sleeve also takes place via an annular body in the form of an elastic sealing ring 27, which is inserted into an inner annular groove 28 of the sleeve 24 in accordance with the second, lower sleeve edge in the illustration and is supported on the outer surface of the pipe section 22.
As already described in detail in the main patent ben, the space 25 is filled with a sealing and connecting compound. As a sealing compound, volume-resistant, bubble-free plastics in viscous form come into question that harden after pouring, e.g. B. epoxy resins. Before filling, you just have to add the hardener.
In order to improve the strength of such a connection, in particular in the case of longitudinal tension, the inner contour of the coupling sleeve 24 is initially narrowed towards the outside and then made widened for the purpose of easier filling of the plastic.
As also described in the main patent, the pouring of the casting compound can also be facilitated here from the upper face of the sleeve by a funnel (not shown) placed on the edge of the sleeve, which is removed again after filling.
