Fig. 1 eine Nutentrommel in Ansicht,
Fig. 2 einen Schnitt nach Linie I-I in Fig. 1 in vergrössertem Massstab.
Grooved drum with insert pins for winding machines
The present invention relates to a grooved drum for winding machines, which is provided with insert pins for reinforcing the crossing points which are highly exposed to wear.
Groove drums made of plastic are already known in which the points of intersection of the grooves are reinforced by pins that lift the thread off the groove base at these points. In a known grooved drum of this type, the pins made of hard material are inserted into holes which are drilled into the drum shell or into the groove wall at an acute angle to the drum axis. The pins have guide surfaces for guiding the thread, which lie in the grooves.
The present invention now aims to simplify the production of the grooved drum. The grooved drum according to the invention with insert pins for winding machines, with the pins made of a hard material on! The crossing points are inserted into holes provided in the drum shell and form the thread lifted from the base of the grooves guide surfaces, is characterized in that the pin-receiving bores run radially to the drum axis and open out at the groove base and that the pins with an open towards the shell side of the drum , are provided in the direction of the groove extending slot.
Due to the radial course of the pins in the groove jacket, the necessary holes can be drilled more easily; there is also no risk of the bore running, since it begins at the bottom of the groove.
An exemplary embodiment of the grooved drum according to the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
Show it:
1 shows a grooved drum in view,
FIG. 2 shows a section along line I-I in FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale.
The grooved drum 1 rotatably mounted on pin 2 is provided with an endless thread guide groove 3, which has two reversal points 4 and three intersection points 5, whereby when the drum 1 is rotated in the direction of arrow 6, the groove sections 7 running from the outside inwards and the groove sections running from the inside to the outside 8 overlap. For known reasons of the flow geometry of the thread, the groove 3 is deeper in the sections 8 than in the sections 7.
In the groove sections 7 is immediately before the intersections 5 with the groove sections 8 each a pin 9 made of wear-resistant material, for. B. hard steel, pressed or preferably screwed into the grooved drum 1 (Fig. 2). The pin 9 has a guide slot 11 on the head 10 which runs in the direction of the groove sections 7. All the edges and surfaces of the head 10 and the slot 11 are rounded and polished. The end face of the pin 9 is a small amount 12 below the groove drum diameter, while the base of the slot 11 is a small amount 13 above the groove base.
At the reversal points 4, as at the intersections 5, such pins 9 can be used, but there preferably cylindrical pins 14 are pressed in from the end faces of the grooved drum 1, slightly above the groove base, as described in Swiss Patent No. 35 {6q0519 .
Due to the described arrangement of wear-resistant pins 9 immediately in front of the intersection points 5, the thread is raised in the groove, relieving the chewing out and in of the intersecting grooves and thus preventing wear on these particularly vulnerable points. The purpose of resetting the pins 9 by the dimension .12 is to ensure that the winding cannot be damaged by protruding pins when the drum surface is worn.
