Pump The invention relates to a pump with an eccentric and rotatable in a housing ge superimposed rotor, the rigid wings at their ends carry tangentially directed sealing wings made of rubber elastic material. Such pumps are particularly suitable for pumping liquids contaminated with solid parts. In these pumps, the fastening of the sealing vanes made of rubber-elastic material to the rigid rotor vanes is often difficult, as both the centrifugal and the frictional forces pull at this fastening point. It has been suggested to hold the sealing wings in dovetail grooves.
Since the wings are made of rubber-elastic material, the wings do not find sufficient hold in the groove. An improvement has been achieved in that a metal strip has been vulcanized onto the widest end of the parts of the wings, which are dovetailed in cross section. With such an arrangement, however, the metal-rubber bond is heavily stressed and breaks free. In addition, it has been shown that rubber, which has good adhesion to metal, has a low abrasion resistance.
Since the pump can run dry for a short time during operation, the material of the sealing wings must have the greatest possible abrasion resistance. The invention aims to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned and to provide a solution which allows the sealing wings to be produced from abrasion-resistant material.
The pump according to the invention is characterized in that the rubber-elastic sealing wings have an at least approximately round bead in cross-section, which is inserted into a groove with a neck arranged at the end of the rigid wing, so that it has both the bead and one the part of the sealing wing adjoining the bead grips.
Due to the large cross-section of the bead and the neck arranged on the groove, it is almost impossible to pull the wing out of the groove in the tangential direction because a lot of material would have to be deformed.
Some exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing. It shows: FIG. 1 a simplified illustration of a pump, in section; 2 shows a detail of the pump according to FIG. 1 on a larger scale and FIGS. 3-6 variants of details according to FIG. 2.
Fig. 1 shows a section of a pump perpendicular to its drive shaft 1. On the shaft 1, a Ro gate 2 is attached with rigid wings 3, which wear at their ends tangentially directed sealing wings 4 made of rubber-elastic material. Since the shaft 1 is mounted eccentrically in the housing 5, a pumping action in the direction of the arrows 7 occurs when the rotor rotates in the direction of the arrow 6.
As a result of the friction of the sealing wings in the housing and as a result of the centrifugal force, a force K acts on the fastening points of the sealing wings 4 on the rigid wings 3, which force wants to tear the wings loose.
In Fig. 2 the attachment of a Dichtungsflü gel 4 is shown at the end of a rotor blade 3 on a larger scale. The rotor blade has lateral ribs 8, which rest on the flat inner wall of the housing and thus enlarge the sealing surface. The round cross-sectional shape of the groove 20 with the adjoining neck 21 can be seen here.
In order to be able to tear the sealing wing out of the groove, the material of the bead 22 would have to be severely deformed. With a strong pull in direction K, the material of the wing is constricted in the neck, but the bead cannot be pulled out of the groove.
One might think that an insert, as shown in Fig. 3, for example a centrally arranged Me tallstab 30 would improve the situation. The opposite occurs because the rubber is now loosening from the rod and is torn at 31, for example.
The matter is completely different if the metal insert is arranged eccentrically on the side of the bead opposite the groove opening, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.
In FIG. 4, 40 is an eccentrically arranged rod, around which organs 41 which transmit tensile forces K, such as threads, wires or a fabric insert, are looped around and vulcanized into the rubber of the sealing wing 4. A force in direction K will pull rod 40 downward, only pushing the bead all the more firmly into the groove.
In Fig. 5, a profile piece 50 made of metal is vulcanized on the back of the bead. When pulling in direction K, this piece will prevent the bead from pulling together and thus improve the retention in the groove. It should be noted that the forces on the adhesive surface between rubber and metal run approximately parallel to this surface so that there is no risk of tearing loose.
Finally, FIG. 6 shows an arrangement in which the rubber of the sealing wing 4 is harder by special measures at the rear at 60 than at the front at 61, as is indicated in the drawing by narrower and wider dots. The effect of this measure is roughly the same as that in the embodiment according to FIG. 5.
