Method for the surface treatment of blanks for turbine blades or propeller blades and a machine for carrying out the method The present invention relates to a method for the surface treatment of blanks for turbine blades or propeller blades.
The processing of such blanks in a copy milling machine or in a copy planer using, for example, hydraulic servo systems which control the tool in accordance with the scanning of a copy model by a copying pen is known.
It is also known that a large machining capacity can be achieved on both sides by using several tools and simultaneously machining the workpiece. It is practical if both Werkzeu ge both sides of one and the same point of the workpiece to be machined, because this avoids deflection of the workpiece.
After processing by milling or planing, the workpiece must be ground, which can be done either by hand or in a special grinding machine.
The purpose of the present invention is to achieve a method for machining blanks which allows a higher work cycle and greater accuracy than the known machining methods.
This is achieved according to the method according to the invention in that two blanks, one each on one of two opposing clamping plates attached to a horizontal, rotatable axis, so that the load on said axis is balanced, for copier milling the both blanks using two identical templates, which can be rotated on the.
the same way as the blanks mentioned are clamped in relation to an axis of rotation, whereby first one blank is copy-milled while scanning one template and then the other blank is copy-milled while scanning the other template, while at the same time the first workpiece is finished by grinding is, after which the finished workpiece is exchanged for a third blank, which is thus piergefräs ko, while at the same time the second work piece is being processed by said grinding process.
The invention also relates to a machine for carrying out the new method, wel che machine according to the invention is characterized in that it has a horizontal, rotatable axis which is provided with clamping plates on two mutually opposite sides of the axis, so that two clamped workpieces can balance each other out, whereby on one side of the named axis two milling units are arranged on slides in the foundation of the machine that, in relation to the named axis, diametrically opposite one another,
two grinding machines are arranged for grinding in the direction of each other and parallel to said axis, and that two identical stencils for controlling the milling process are angeord net, which stencils are rotatably clamped in relation to an axis of rotation, in the same way as those on the aforementioned plates clamped workpieces.
Embodiments of the inventions are described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing, which shows a machine tool in perspective Dar position.
The machine shown in the drawing ent holds an axis or hub part 1, which is rotatably mounted in two consoles 2 and 3. The axis 1 is driven by a motor 4 via a countershaft 5, which was shown in the drawing as a simple toothed wheel drive, but can preferably be designed as a continuously variable transmission. On the axis 1 a mounting plate 6 is attached, on which a blank 7 is clamped for the production of a Kaplantur bin blade. On the side diametrically opposite to the axis 1 there is also a clamping plate on which a blade blank 8 is clamped.
The consoles 2 and 3 are anchored in a foundation which forms a pit 9 in the workshop floor. The two blanks 7 and 8 are net angeord at the same distance from each other that the finished blades occupy after assembly on the axis of the finished Kaplan turbine.
With 10 and 10a two milling units are designated, each of which consists of a motor that drives a milling tool. The milling unit 10 was mounted on a cross slide 11, which is moved by a hydraulic feed arrangement, not shown, of a conventional type. The respective position of the cross slide 11 is registered by an Elgon 12. The cross slide 11 was mounted on a longitudinal slide 13 which is mounted on a floor prism guide 14 and which is also provided with a hydraulic feed arrangement (not shown).
The respective La ge of the longitudinal slide 13 on the prism guide 14 is registered by means of an Elgon 15 which is provided with a gear 16 which is in engagement with the rack 17.
The milling unit 10a is mounted in the corresponding manner.
On an axis 18, which forms an extension of axis 1, two copier models 19 and 20 are arranged diametrically opposite each other in relation to said axis 18. A copier device which is used to scan models 19 and 20 and which is a miniature the large prisms and the cross and longitudinal slide of the machine is formed from, includes two copy pen holders 21 and 22;
of which copy pen holder 21 is mounted on a cross shed 23, which is hydraulically controlled and in turn mounted on a hydraulically controlled longitudinal slide 24 which is arranged on a Prismenfüh tion 25 on a console 26 anchored in the workshop floor. The cross slide 23 and the longitudinal slide 24 are controlled by Elgonen 27 and 28.
A vibration damper 29 consisting of a double-conical rubber roller 30; is provided to be brought into contact with the edge of the blade blank during the machining process, thereby enabling one-sided machining without the risk of deflection or vibration phenomena. The G ummir olle 30 can be moved in the direction of axis 1 by hydraulic pressure.
The numbers 31 and 32 designate two grinding machines that can be moved in opposite directions and parallel to axis 1. Their axial positions can be regulated in a conventional manner, not shown here, with the aid of compressed air devices.
An adjusting member 33 for adjusting the milling units 10 and 10a was attached to axis 1. A similar adjustment element 34 for the copier pen cold 21 and 22 was attached to axis 18.
Numeral 35 denotes a hydraulic pump that delivers pressurized oil to the drive systems of the milling units and the copier pen holder. 36 is a control panel from which the machine's working moments can be controlled manually.
The machine shown works in the following way: After the shovel blanks 7 and 8 and the models 19 and 20 have been clamped, the milling units 10 and 10a are pressed against the adjustment tool 33 and the copy pen holders 21 and 22 against the adjustment tool 34 aligned.
Then workpiece 7 is machined by axis 1 is rotated until workpiece 7 passes through the milling cutter pair 10 and 10a. The layers of said milling units are controlled by the positions of the copier pen holder 21 and 22 with the aid of an electrohydraulic servo system of a conventional type, not shown here.
The blade blank 7 conforms to the model blade 19 after milling. During the milling of the first blank, the grinding units 31 and 32 are inoperative.
After the milling process for workpiece 7 is complete, axis 1 is rotated by 180 and milling of blank 8 is started, with model 20 serving as the controlling element. At the same time, the grinding machines 31 and 32 begin grinding the milled workpiece 7 to the desired surface quality.
After workpiece 8 has been completely milled, axis 1 is again turned 180, whereupon workpiece 7 is removed and replaced with a new blank. While the new blank is being milled, workpiece 8 is ground.
The machine can be adjusted in a known manner on different scales between workpiece and model. The machine described can in principle be used as a lathe.
