Hand device The invention relates to a hand device with a housing which is provided with at least one elastic's padding which forms a holding surface on which the device can be detected, as is defined in the claim of the main patent.
According to dependent claim 9 of the main patent, the device is designed as an electric shaver. In dry shavers of this type. the holding flat formed by pillow-like cushions, which are arranged on the front of a non-yielding base. A flexible cover on suitable material, such as vinyl plastic, is pulled over the cushion and then attached to the front of the mat. In order to hold the assembled cushion arrangement on the surface of the device, suitable adhesives or fastening straps are required.
A padding of the type outlined above facilitates the handling of the dry shaver extremely and contributes to a significant increase in the ease of use. While the upholstery. as such, their manufacture and assembly still leave a lot to be desired in terms of application. In particular, the alignment of the related parts of the known upholstery devices is made more difficult by the fact that the various parts of the device, such as' z.
B. the flexible cover and the inner cushion, can not be made with sufficiently accurate manufacturing tolerances. The tendency peculiar to flexible materials to change in certain dimensions after cutting not only leads to difficulties in aligning the individual parts, but also requires expensive assembly processes and affects the exterior of the device. The invention is based on the object of developing a hand-held device with holding surfaces which are easy to manufacture and easy to assemble. Special emphasis is placed on making it easier to align the upholstery on the housing of the device.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the upholstery is provided with means for alignment and is placed on a plate; is arranged, which has slightly larger dimensions than the ge padded holding surface and which is also provided with means for alignment in order to be able to center the upholstery on the plate. The alignment means of the upholstery are expediently formed by projections which are assigned to them, alignment means of the plate of holes.
It has proven to be particularly advantageous if the padding is attached to the plate with the aid of flaps or lugs that fit into openings in the plate. It is particularly favorable if the plate is square and several holes extend on and / or symmetrically to the axis of symmetry of the plate.
In one embodiment which has proven to be very advantageous, the upholstery has a lower plate, on one side of which the tabs or lugs are arranged and on the other side of which there is a cushion over which a flexible cover extends, the edge parts of which are attached to the surface of the base plate on which the tabs or lugs also sit.
The above and other advantages of the invention will become more apparent from the following description. in which reference is made to the accompanying drawing. The drawings show: FIG. 1 a front view of the housing of a dry shaving device, which is provided with padding, FIG. 2 is a side view of the device according to FIG. 1, in which parts of the housing and the padding are shown in section and the structure of FIG Upholstery can be recognized, Fig. 3 is a rear view of the upholstery prior to attachment to a base plate, Fig. 4 is a rear view of the base plate,
which carries the upholstery on its front side in a predetermined position, FIG. 5 is a perspective view in which the base plate and the frame plate are shown pulled apart.
In FIG. 1, the upholstery is designated generally by the reference number 10. It sits on the outer surface of the housing of an electric dry shaver to which the reference number 11 is assigned. The housing 11 is of a known type and it surrounds a motor (not shown) for actuating the cutting head 12. The housing 11 has a pressed housing part 13 which is made of a hard, smooth plastic, for example nylon. The cutting head 12 is covered by a plastic hair bag 14.
A pad 10 is arranged on each side of the housing part 13 so that the user can hold the housing in the cupped hand during use by holding one pad with his thumb on one side of the housing part 13 and with the other fingers touches the other cushion on the opposite side.
It goes without saying that the new device, as it is described below, can not only be used with dry shavers, but rather that it can also be used without further ado with other hand-held devices.
, The opposing surfaces of the Ge housing part 13 are identical. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the front surface is provided with a pair of pressed-in horizontal ribs 17. The ribs 17 merge at their opposite ends into the ends of a pair of press-fitted vertical ribs 18 arranged at a distance from one another and thus form a right-angled frame part 20. The cushion 10 is fastened in the frame part 20.
It has a right-angled shim 22 (FIGS. 3 and 5), which is preferably made of sheet metal and is stamped to the desired shape. On the front side 25 (Fig. 1) of the frame plate 2.2, an inner cushion member is attached, which consists of a comparatively thick layer of flexible Ma terials 24, such as vinyl foam.
A cover or an outer cover 26 made of soft material, such as flexible vinyl plastic, are net angeord above the inner cushion member 24 and cover this. The outer edge parts 27 (Fig. 2 and 3) of the cover 26 are folded over the corners of the frame plate 22 and attached to the rear side 28 (Fra. 3) with the aid of a suitable adhesive. Tab-like projections 30 ra gene in the vicinity of each corner of the base plate 22 over this. They are used for the purposes described below.
The base plate 22 also has two spaced apart aligned projections 31 and 32 before. soft protrude over the back 28. The projections 31 and 32 are at the same distance R1 from the center Cl d. -r base plate 22 arranged away. They lie on an imaginary line which bisects the base plate 22.
A right-angled, flat support plate 34 is used to attach the cushion 10 to the housing 11. 1 and 5, the surface of the support plate 34 is larger than the upper surface of the frame plate 22. The surface of the support plate 34 corresponds to the area of the housing which is bordered by the ribs 17 and 18 of the frame part 20 . The support plate 34 is provided with several Ren, spaced rows 36 of holes (Fig. 4 and 5).
Two of these: holes, designated 38 and 39, are used to receive the projections 31 and 32 of the frame plate 22, while the remaining openings in the rows 36 allow air to flow out when the pad is compressed. The protrusions 31 and 32 are aligned with openings 38 and 39 arranged at a distance from one another, and they have the same 'distance R'-' from the center of the support plate 34, as shown in FIG. 4 is recognizable. The distances R- 'are equal to the distances R1, and the openings 38 and 39 lie on an imaginary line which divides the support plate 34.
The result is that. When aligning the center point Cl of the frame plate 22 on d. In the center C2 of the support plate 34, the projections 31 and 32 are brought into correspondence with the openings 38 and 39.
In each .Ecke of the support plate 34 additional openings 41 are arranged. Flaps 30 of the frame plate are inserted into the openings 41 and bent against the back 42 of the support plate 34 (Fig. 4). As a result, the pad 10 is securely held on the support plate 34, and the edge of the pad 10 has, as = indicated in Fig. 1 at 44, everywhere the same distance from the outer edge of the support plate 34. The back 42 of the support plate 34 can at the Front of the housing 11 within the frame part 20 by suitable means, such as. B. an adhesive, not shown, can be attached.
During the assembly of the actual cushion 10, the inner cushion element 24 is placed against the frame plate 22 and the cover 26 is pulled over it. The outer edges 27 of the cover 26 are bent over the edges of the frame plate 22 and attached to the rear side 28 of the frame plate 22 with the aid of an adhesive. The projections 31 and 32 of the frame plate 22 are then brought into a position in which they are aligned with the openings 38 and 39 in the support plate 34. They are then introduced into this in order to fasten the cushion 10 in the intended position on the support plate 34.
The tabs 30 of the frame plate 22 are then inserted into the openings 41 and bent over in order to connect the cushion 10 firmly to the plate 34. The entire upholstery device is arranged in the frame part 20 and attached to the housing 11 with the aid of an adhesive which is applied to the rear side 42 of the support plate 34.
The above description shows that the device according to the invention offers numerous advantages. The frame plate 22 and the support plate 34 can be easily and economically punched in any desired size from sheet metal, with very precise manufacturing tolerances being adhered to.
Changes in the dimensions of the flexible cover 26 after cutting are switched off. since the edge portions 27 can be adjusted by hand, if necessary, to give the pad 24 and cover 26 on the plate 22 the correct trueness before the edge portions 27 are attached to the frame plate. The alignment means according to the invention on the frame plate 22 and the support plate 34 allow the upholstery to be fastened in a predetermined position to one another and to the housing 11 with a minimum of effort; they enable quick assembly and not only save work, but also material costs.
The device according to the invention also creates the conditions for this. to achieve a uniform edge part 44; this gives the upholstery attached to the device a neat and attractive look.
Notwithstanding the fact that the invention has only been explained on the basis of an exemplary embodiment, it is of course possible to make numerous constructive modifications without having to deviate from the basic idea of the invention.
