Force balancing device The invention relates to a force balancing device which z. B. is able to hold a weight that is to be moved vertically in suspension or to compensate for its gravity.
The object on which the invention is based is to deliver a force equivalent to the weight to be moved vertically, but which is linearly the same over the entire range of motion, since it is possible through simple means to even weights of a few tons vertically by hand to move. The device should make the arrangement of counterweights unnecessary, and it should be small and lightweight, so that it can be installed anywhere and in any location.
The invention uses the specific properties of the liquid gases. If z. For example, if a part by volume of liquid propane changes into the gaseous state in a pressure vessel, the gaseous propane requires <B> 260 </B> parts by volume. The space requirement is thus 260 times with constant pressure in the pressure vessel. By displacement, the gas can be brought back into the liquid state and thus to a smaller volume, as in turn with constant pressure.
The vapor pressure / volume characteristics of the gas correspond to a spring working with constant force. This applies if the ambient temperature remains the same.
The subject of the invention is a force balancing device with two mutually movable parts, which is characterized in that a space sealed from the outside between the two parts partly with at least one liquid and partly with the vapor of this liquid that comes into contact with the liquid is filled.
The facility can e.g. B. in a zylindfi, containers see as much liquid gas, z. B. propane gas, that when a rod is immersed through a front opening provided with a special liquid seal, the gas can pass from the gaseous into the liquid state, in proportion to the immersion depth of the rod, so that the vapor pressure or the tendency of the liquid gas to return to the gaseous state,
gives the rod an expulsion force equivalent to the input effort, thus creating a constant spring force over the entire immersion depth.
The magnitude of the drive-in or expulsion force in this form depends on the cross-section of the dipstick and can range from a few grams to a few tons, and the immersion path is only determined by the length of the cylinder and the dipstick restricts.
Based on the drawing, an embodiment of the device according to the invention is explained in more detail below. The drawing shows a force compensation device in longitudinal section.
The device shown has a cylinder 1 fastened to a mounting foot 1 a, the interior 2 of which is partly filled with a liquid such as propane, isobutane, freon or the like, and partly with the vapor of this liquid. The upper end of the cylinder <B> 1 </B> is tightly closed by a welded-on end wall <B> 3 </B>. In a central bore of this end wall <B> 3 </B> a dip rod 4 protruding into the interior of the cylinder <B> 1 </B> is guided axially displaceably. The constant pressure of the said steam thus acts on the lower end of the dipstick 4.
The seal between the upper end of the cylinder <B> 1 </B> and the immersion rod 4 comprises, in addition to the end wall <B> 3 </B>, a guide ring <B> 6 </B> on the end wall <B > 3 </B> is attached via a sieve sleeve <B> 7 </B> screwed into the end wall and the guide ring.
A hat cuff <B> 8 </B> is clamped inwardly in the upper screw connection, while the lower screw connection carries two hat cuffs <B> 9 </B> and <B> 10 </B>, one inwards and the other directed outwards. Over the outside of the guide ring <B> 6 </B> and an extension on the end wall. <B> 3 </B> is a flexible hose <B> 11 </B> e.g. B. made of rubber, turned over and glued tightly or covered. The inside of the hose 11 is coated with a sealing liquid, e.g. B. Hydrauhköl filled.
A ball valve 12 is provided for refilling sealing liquid, it being possible for air to be discharged by loosening a vent screw 13.
The steam contained in the cylinder <B> 1 </B> not only presses on the dipstick 4, but also on the outside of the hose-es <B> 11, </B> so that the same in the sealing liquid in this hose Pressure as in the cylinder interior, 2 prevails. The lower cuff <B> 9 </B> receives the same pressure from the oil side as the cuff <B> 10 </B> from the gas side. This pressure equivalence excludes any loss of gas.
The small oil leakage losses through the sleeve <B> 8 </B> can be replaced by the ball valve 12. The arrangement allows perfect lubrication of the dipstick 4.
The dipstick 4 is gebil det by a steel tube that is closed with a bottom 14. A stop ring <B> 15 </B> prevents the immersion rod from being driven out completely. The dipstick has a gas connection thread at the top that can accommodate a filling fitting. The lower end of the dipstick has a small cross-hole <B> 16 ', </B> which is covered with a piece of rubber hose <B> 16 </B> so that there is a one-way valve.
The gas is introduced into the gas space 2 by the immersion rod via this one-way valve 1, 1, 16, 16 ', with a screw <B> 17 </B> in the lowest part of the cylinder <B> 1 </ B> can serve as a vent. After the filling is complete, the upper connection thread in the immersion rod is sealed gas-tight by means of a screw plug <B> 18 </B>. The thread can also, for. B. take a flange, etc. on.
It is clear that with the device described, the gas or vapor pressure inside the cylinder only depends on the temperature, but practically not on the position of the plunger rod. The force acting on the plunger rod can therefore be kept practically constant by keeping the temperature constant. Suitable heating and / or cooling devices and thermostats (not shown) can be provided for this purpose, it being possible for the force to be adjusted by changing the setpoint temperature prescribed for the thermostat.
It can also be advantageous to regulate the heating and / or cooling devices not by a thermostat, but by the pressure prevailing in the cylinder itself.
