Description
Method for cleaning or drying or for attaching the inner lining of a fireplace The present invention is a method for cleaning or drying or to bring the inner lining of a fireplace.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that an overpressure is generated in the chimney space under a bell that can be raised by blowing gas from a lower inlet opening.
The method according to the invention has the advantage that when a hot air or gas mixture is blown in, it is possible to carry out mortar work at outside temperatures of down to -18 ° C. in winter. Furthermore, in the case of irregularly bricked chimney walls, mortar thicknesses of up to 8 cm can be pressed on locally without the mortar loosening from the walls.
The chimney can preferably be dried by blowing in hot gas and / or softening or melting and draining of the tar or glossy soot can be brought about.
The advantages established by laypersons consist in better adhesion of the mortar coat and in the simplicity of carrying out the preparatory work required for pressing in the mortar coat.
To attach a chimney interior lining, mortar can be poured from above onto a pressure bell that can be pulled up in the chimney, which is pressed against the chimney wall when the bell is pulled up. A longer-lasting pressing effect on the mortar lining produced is achieved in order to prevent it from becoming detached.
In order to achieve rapid drying out or chemical hardening of the mortar mass in the event of unfavorable chimney conditions or weather conditions, gas can preferably be blown in, which promotes rapid setting when acting on special mortar mixtures.
An application example of the method is shown schematically in the drawing.
In a chimney 1, which is to be re-pressed with mortar, in which the mortar 2 is poured from above onto a press-out bell 3 of a known type, the soot door opening 5 at the lower end of the smoke channel opens into a blow nozzle 6 of a hot air blower 7 .
An overpressure is to be generated under the bell 3 in order to press the mortar against the inner wall of the chimney and to dry or set quickly under the effect of the excess temperature.
