The present invention relates to a bearing for a spherical part, which is arranged as an inner part with the convex, outer surface in a central part with a concave, inner surface and this is arranged in an outer part.
Such storage has numerous possible uses. With the usual designs and manufacturing processes, however, it was not possible to achieve certain storage properties that would be possible with newly developed storage materials.
There are several reasons for these difficulties. For example, certain special-purpose alloys have been proposed, but these have proven to be too expensive for most standard bearings. Furthermore, certain plastic lubricants have been proposed, but either not enough bar or not strong enough to be able to withstand the stresses caused by deformation of the outer part or later use.
According to the invention it is proposed that the middle part is a two-layer element, consisting of a one-piece metal layer and an associated layer containing a plastic material with a lubricating effect, and that the outer part has a concave inner surface that is firmly engaged with the middle part . The invention also relates to a method for producing the mounting of a spherical part, which consists in that the central part having a lubricant is bent into a cylinder and inserted between the inner part and the outer part, whereupon the central part and the outer part are formed by deformation pressure of the shape of the convex Surface of the inner part can be adjusted.
For example, the middle part can be made from a metal strip that is connected to a plastic fabric used as a lubricant.
The middle part and the outer part can be separate, ring-shaped elements which are non-rotatably connected to one another. To connect the middle and outer part, it is useful to form retaining lips on one of the two parts. The middle and outer part can also be connected to each other by gluing.
For example, the ends of the middle part are formed into retaining lips that grip over the outer part. At the ends of the outer part, retaining lips can be molded to hold the central part in its position. To make pressing easier, an annular groove can be milled into the outer part.
In the accompanying drawings execution forms of the invention are shown. Fig. 1 is a sectional view of an embodiment of the storage according to the invention, in which the material layer with the lubricating effect of the central part is firmly attached to the inner surface of a cylindrical metal part, which is connected to the inner surface of a conventional outer part, Fig. 2 shows the two-layer piece, from which the central part of the bearing according to Fig. 1 is formed, Fig. 3 shows the piece of material from Fig. 2 after its deformation to a sleeve,
4 shows an annular outer part which is used in connection with the central part shown in FIG. 3, FIG. 5 shows the relative position of the parts shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 and the inner part before the deformation process, FIG Section through an embodiment of the storage, which has retaining lips on the outer part, FIG. 7 is a section through an embodiment of the storage, which has retaining lips on the central part.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, a fabric layer 22 made of polytetrafluoroethylene is used as a layer of material with a lubricating effect, wel cher by an adhesive firmly with a metal strip 23 is connected from ductile material. An outer part 24 consists of ductile steel. A central part 23 and the outer part 24 were appropriately deformed when they were made.
The method used to produce the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 is explained with reference to FIGS. 2 to 5. The fabric 22 made of polytetrafluoroethylene is firmly connected to a thin Metallstrei fen 23 made of ductile material, whereupon this metal strip to a sleeve-shaped inter mediate part 25 is formed and arranged within an outer part 18 made of ductile steel.
A ball 21 is inserted into the central part 23, and the entire arrangement is then compression-molded by tools 6b according to FIG. 1, the deformation pressure being exerted both parallel and at an angle to the axis of the sleeve 25. As a result of the annular groove 20, which extends around the circumference part of the outer surface of the part 18 and is milled into this part before the assembly, the deformation indicated at 15b is produced by the action of the molding tools. The groove 20 causes a weakening of the part in question during the subsequent deformation and has a bending of the material in this zone.
This ver bending also causes a reduction in the contact area between the inner and outer parts, whereby the friction between these parts is also reduced.
Another possibility of designing the outer part in such a way that a firm connection is achieved between the intermediate part and the outer part is shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. As can be seen from FIG. 6, holding lips 34 are formed at the ends of the outer part 25 during the compression molding operation by using an outer part 35 with a somewhat larger vertical dimension than that of the central part 36. During the pressing process, the excess material of the outer part 35 is pressed wide and flows over the edges of the middle part 36.
From Fig. 7 it can be seen that holding lips 32 are formed at the ends of the central part 33 during the compression molding work, the water part of slightly larger vertical dimension than that of the outer part. In this case, the excess material of the middle part is pressed wide during the pressing process and flows over the inner edges of the outer part.
It is noted that each of the three parts, which together form the bearing of the spherical part, is inevitably held within the arrangement by the compression molding. It is also pointed out that, although it is desirable for some purposes, the outer and middle parts, as in FIG. 6, must necessarily be held together so that they not only remain held within the arrangement but also cannot rotate relative to one another , but it is also possible to prevent this relative twisting without necessarily locking, that is to say only by holding on to it with friction.
In the case of friction locking, it must be ensured that the friction existing between the central part and the outer part is greater than the friction between the central part and the inner part.
It is also possible to connect the middle and outer parts to one another by using a suitable adhesive. This type of connection offers the particular advantage that such an amount of adhesive can be used for the connection that the inner part is exposed when the bearing is subsequently heated and the adhesive contracts.
