Description

Method for connecting boards, strips and other pieces of wood at right angles and corner connection produced according to this method According to the present invention, a method for connecting prismatic boards, strips and other pieces of wood at right angles is characterized in that on the front flanks of the two pieces of wood behind .a protruding web plate provided with a miter flank a plurality of prismatic, straight row arranged,

grooves spaced apart from one another are cut out by means of equally dimensioned prongs and the pieces of wood machined in this way in opposite directions are inserted into one another and glued together.

A corner connection between two prismatic boards, strips or similar pieces of wood produced according to the method according to the invention is characterized in that the two parts are joined on the inside by a straight row of interlocking and prismatic groove plates from outer web plates that are adjacent to one another with miter flanks along the corner connecting edges. Zinc connections are galvanized.

An exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention or a corner connection manufactured according to this method is shown in the drawing, with FIG. 1 diagrammatically showing the two pieces of wood preprocessed for connection and FIG. 2 showing a section transverse to the corner edge formed of the finished connection.

With 1 or 2 two prismatic boards or strips of wood are referred to, which are to be connected to each other at a right angle. For this purpose, both pieces of wood are pre-processed as can be clearly seen in the drawing, that is, several or more or more web plates 3 are made from the front flanks of the two wooden parts, each behind a protruding outer web plate 3 provided with Gehing flanks 30.

many prismatic grooves 410 and 420 spaced apart from each other by equally dimensioned prongs 41 and 42, respectively, on the other part.

The corner connection according to FIG. 2 is obtained by inserting and gluing the wooden parts prepared in this way. Because the grooves do not penetrate the entire thickness of the piece of wood to be used for the connection, but rather the above-mentioned, mitered web plate 3 uninterrupted over the entire length Widths of the wooden parts are retained, the following advantages result: A.

In the finished corner connection, apart from the edge glue joint 300 between the miter flanks 30 of the protruding web plates 3, no glue joints are visible on the outside, so that no veneering of the finished connection is necessary as long as the wood of the connected parts 1 and 2 is of sufficient quality.

  B. A spreading of the finished corner connection according to FIG. 2 in the sense of the entered arrows is effectively prevented by the outer web plates 3 resting against one another with their miter flanks 30 in spite of the only prismatic groove or prong design instead of the dovetail zinc plating previously perceived as necessary.

  C. The preparation of parts 1 and 2 according to the manner explained is easier and faster than the preparation of dovetail galvanizing using today's be known tools and modern machines, and it can also be formed per longitudinal unit accordingly more connection prongs with greater uniformity and precision , so that a correspondingly high number of gluing surfaces and a correspondingly precise and firm corner connection can be made. D.

The outer sides of the pieces of wood to be connected do not have to be flat, but can have a curved or curved outer profile, in that only the prismatic prismatic prism of the prongs and prongs have to be cut out on the inner side.
