In der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 4 münden im Düsenkörper 3 zwei Leitungen 21 durch schräge seit liche Kanäle in den von der Zuleitung 1 kommenden Düsenkanal 4, durch welchen der den Faden 11 zu- führende Luftstrom fliesst. Die beiden Leitungen 21 kommen von einem besonderen Steuerkopf 14;
Die Ausführungsform nach Fig. 5 unterscheidet sich von derjenigen nach Fig. 4 dadurch, dass sie statt einer sogenannten aufschlagenden Zunge, welche die Leitungseingänge 20 verschliesst, eine sogenannte durchschlagende Zunge 22 besitzt;
Method for inserting the thread into the cavity of a textile machine guard and device for carrying out this method The present patent relates to a method for inserting the thread into the cavity of a textile machine guard, for example the weft thread of a weaving machine in the cavity of its guard, by means of an air stream ,
and a device for performing this method with a nozzle through which the thread transportie-generating air flow is intended to exit.
According to known methods and when using known devices of this type, the air stream transporting the thread emerges from the nozzle along a straight line axis which coincides with the longitudinal axis of the nozzle, so that the thread continuously runs approximately in this axis into the cavity of the textile machine guard.
Experience has shown that it is then deposited in turns in the form of an approximately cylindrical coil of limited diameter in this cavity, and it is therefore not possible in this way to use the thread to create a shuttle cavity of larger diameter, let alone one of non-cylindrical shape, to be completely filled with thread.
The present patent is based on the object of filling a shooter cavity of any shape with as much thread as possible. In particular, it is desirable in weaving machines to be able to insert the longest possible thread into a shuttle cavity of a flat, wide shape, in order to achieve the lowest possible shuttle for a given weft thread length, the lowest possible warp thread shed and thus short paths for the warp threads and those leading them when changing shed To reach strands.
For this purpose, according to the method according to the present invention, the air stream transporting the thread is back and forth laterally. distracted.
The device according to the present invention is characterized in that it has means for the automatic mutual deflection of this air flow.
This makes it possible for the thread to leave the nozzle roughly along the serpentine or wavy lines progressing with the air flow and to be deposited at changing points in the cross section of the shooting cavity so that it can largely fill it.
The drawing illustrates Ausführungsbei games of the inventive method; it represents, for example, embodiments of the device according to the invention.
It shows Fig. 1 a first embodiment of this device, with eccentrically mounted deflector bodies, Fig. 2 the nozzle of the device according to FIG. 1, seen from the mouth, Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment with deflectors designed as vanes, Fig. 4 a third embodiment with two side channels controlled by an impacting tongue, FIG. 5 one of the third analogous fourth embodiment,
in which the side channels are controlled by means of a penetrating tongue, and FIG. 6 shows a fifth embodiment with uncontrolled side channels.
Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 to 6 show the nozzle of the device in a horizontal longitudinal section.
In the device according to FIGS. 1 and 2, a nozzle body 3 is connected to a pipeline 1 through which its compressed air and a weft thread 11 that has been carried along with it is fed for the shooter of a weaving machine in the direction of arrow 2.
In this a nozzle channel 4 is formed, which gradually changes from a circular cross-section when connecting the supply line 1 into the flat, wide cross-section shown in FIG. 2 at the mouth 5 of the nozzle.
In the nozzle body 3, two cylindrical chambers 8 with vertical axes and slightly greater height than those of the nozzle channel 4 are saved side by side at such a point that their outer surfaces touch the vertical Mittele plane of the nozzle, so the nozzle channel penetrates each of the chambers on one side.
In each chamber 8 a deflecting body 9 in the form of a short pipe section is arranged to be freely movable about a pin 10 arranged in the axis of the chamber.
The through line 1 -in the nozzle channel 4 a guided, the thread 11 transporting compressed air flows between the two deflecting bodies 9 through against the nozzle mouth 5 and drives this deflecting body in their chambers 8 around the 10 te Stif. Each deflecting body temporarily claims part of the nozzle channel cross-section and thereby pushes the air flow and the thread 11 torn by it into the chamber 8, in which the other deflecting body 9 is driven.
It can be seen that the two deflecting bodies alternately occupy the duct cross section, so that the air flow is deflected alternately to the right and to the left. The entrained thread 11 therefore leaves the nozzle through its mouth 5 in the form of snakes or lines that progress with the air flow.
Wavy lines 12, d. H. at alternating points of this mouth. This means that it also enters its cavity at changing points through the entry opening of the contactor, not shown in the drawing, and is stored at changing points in the cross-section of the cavity.
The embodiment according to FIG. 3 differs from that according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in that the two steering bodies driven around in the chambers 8 are each formed by a vane wheel 13 which is rotatably mounted on the pin 10.
Here, too, the two deflecting bodies do not rotate in phase in relation to the vertical plane of symmetry of the nozzle, but in such a way that alternately a wing of one and a wing of the other wheel penetrates into the nozzle channel up to this plane of symmetry. As a result, the air flow with the thread 11 is deflected again alternately to one or the other side.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, two lines 21 open in the nozzle body 3 through inclined lateral channels into the nozzle channel 4 coming from the supply line 1, through which the air stream that feeds the thread 11 flows. The two lines 21 come from a special control head 14;
in the wedge-shaped cavity 16 sent through a line 15 with compressed air, a resilient tongue 17, which is held at its rear end 18 in the control head and provided with sealing washers on both sides at its free end, is able to vibrate analogously to the tongue of an organ pipe, clarinet or oboe, that it alternately closes the inlet 20 of the one or the other line 21.
The tongue is thrown by the prevailing air pressure in front of the mouth of the supply line 15 in the wedge-shaped cavity 16 against the input 20 of one of the lines 21, to which it is just closer than the input of the other line 21 and before wel chem they therefore have a greater pressure drop the air flowing from the room 16 after the line inlet causes than before the inlet of that other line.
But after she has completely closed the entrance of the line called erstge and interrupted the flow through it, the pressure behind her approaches that in the cavity 16; At the same time, the bending stress of tongue 17 reaches its maximum value, whereupon tongue 17 releases this line inlet under the additional influence of the rebound effect, swings beyond the central position towards the opposite line inlet and now temporarily closes it, and so on.
As a result, the air coming from the supply line 15 is alternately controlled into one or the other line 21. Through these lines therefore enter the nozzle channel 4 obliquely to its longitudinal axis directed phase-shifted pulsating air flows, which combine with the coming from the supply line 1, the thread 11 feeding air stream and deflect it laterally back and forth.
The thread 11 is therefore placed in the nozzle channel 4 in serpentine or wavy lines progressing with the air flow and leaves the nozzle mouth 5 at alternating points.
The embodiment according to FIG. 5 differs from that according to FIG. 4 in that, instead of a so-called impacting tongue which closes the line inlets 20, it has a so-called penetrating tongue 22;
This separates from alternately a camell 23 connected to one line 21 or a cam 24 connected to the other line 21 from the wedge space 16 and leaves the respective opposite cam 24 or 23 over its entire length with this wedge space 16 in connection. The tongue 22 doesn’t open, but swings freely under the influence of its elasticity and the air forces in front of the mouth of the supply line 15. As a result, it also controls the air coming from this supply line alternately into one or the other line 21.
However, there is no need for such an opening or penetrating tongue if, according to the embodiment according to FIG. 6, the air stream that feeds the thread 11, as in a jet pump, through side channels 25, the plane in the horizontal central plane of the nozzle obliquely into the nozzle channel 4 mouths, allows ambient air to be drawn in. It has been shown that in this case, too, most of the air is sucked in by itself alternately through one or the other side channel 25.
The air sucked in in this way then forms a so-called vortex street (similar to the Karman vortex street that occurs behind a cylinder around which the air flows), which consists of two rows of zigzag, counter-rotating vortices that migrate with the air flow. These eddies thus generate a transversely directed pulsating air flow in each cross section of the nozzle channel, which is superimposed on the uniform axial air flow coming from the supply line 1 and feeding the thread 11, so that from. the nozzle mouth 5 a laterally deflected back and forth air stream exits.
This carries the thread 11 in the form of a serpentine or wavy line 12 progressing with the air flow through the nozzle mouth.
