The present invention relates to a sheath for an electrical current distribution installation intended for supplying lighting, telephone, radio and call devices, and distribution. fluid, intended to be fixed against a wall and usable in particular for the fitting out of hospital centers and patient rooms.
One of the aims of the invention is to provide a sheath of the aforementioned type making it possible to ensure the distribution of low-voltage electric current for lighting, low-power currents for telephone devices, from T.S.F. : and call, as well as the circulation of fluids, oxygen by, for example or vacuum, these distributions can be effected from any place in the duct and in any order, with simple addition to the bottom of it of a covering element.
This sheath is characterized in that it comprises a box-shaped bottom divided into at least three superimposed compartments and closed by covering elements of approximately rectangular profile, these compartments being intended to respectively receive low electric cables. - voltage, low power electric cables and fluid circulation tubes.
The accompanying drawings show, by way of example, one embodiment of the invention.
In this drawing Fig. 1 is a perspective view, partially cut away, showing a sheath and its covering elements.
Fig. 2 is a sectional view taken along line II-II of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view taken along lines III-III of FIG. 1. FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along the line IV-IV of FIG. 1.
Fig. 5 is an elevational view showing the sheath and its covering elements placed above a bed.
Referring to fig. 1 which shows, in perspective view, a sheath, it can be seen that the latter comprises a bottom in the form of: a box 1 consisting of a sheet 2 which is supported on the partition or the wall 3 and which is folded so as to present two longi tudinal edges 4, The bottom of the duct or box 1 is divided into three superimposed compartments 5-6 and 7 intended respectively for the passage of low-voltage electric cables, low-power electric cables and fluid circulation tubes .
Screens 8 intended to protect the electric cables housed in compartments 5 and 6 are fixed on a U-shaped support 9 carried by the sheet 2.
The bottom of the sheath or box 1 is closed by covering elements 10, 11 and 12, the profile of which: is specially designed. In order to receive an appropriate device, not shown in the drawing, which makes it possible to ensure either the lighting, either the supply of low-power current to a telephone, a radiophonic device and a call device, or the distribution of fluids.
The covering element 10 which is intended to receive the equipment making it possible to provide the lighting, comprises on its upper face an opening 13 provided with a plate of transparent or translucent material 14 held by angles 15 (see fig. 2).
The covering element 11 which is intended to receive the equipment allowing the supply of low-power current to a telephone device 16, a radio device 17 and a call device 18 (see FIG. 5 ) has on its external face suitable connection members 19.
The covering element 12 which is intended to receive the apparatus making it possible to effect the distribution of fluids comprises on its outer face connection members 20 for the distribution of these fluids.
In places where the sheath does not include a device, that is to say from the covering element 12 and up to the connection of the latter with the main sheath 21 (see fig. 5) , the bottom of the duct or box 1 is closed by a covering element 22 of the same shape as the box 1 as shown in FIG. 4.
It is possible to add to the covering element 10, as shown in FIG. 5, a removable complementary lighting device 23 actuated by a switch 24 placed above the bed 25.
The installation on the bottom of the duct or box 1 of the covering elements 10, 11, 12 and 22 is carried out easily thanks to the two longitudinal edges 4 of the sheet 2, said elements being able to be removed without difficulty to allow the access to the electrical cables housed in the bottom of the duct or box 1.
The location of the cover elements 10, 11 and 12 as well as their equipment can be modified according to requirements or according to the space available.
It would obviously be possible to adopt different profiles for the covering elements, those shown having been given only by way of example.
