Hair clipper The subject of the present invention is a hair clipper with a drive motor designed as a handle, which has a reciprocating output member, removably attachable cutting head.
In known hair clippers of this type, the output member of the drive motor acts either directly or with the interposition of a spring on the knife of the cutting head which can be moved back and forth. Since the knife plane to the oscillation plane of the motor's output member, which is usually designed as a vibrating clapper, is usually not arranged at right angles, but at an acute angle, the clapper must in most cases be specially shaped, e.g. B. be stripped to ensure proper motion transmission.
So it is usually not possible to see the drive unit of a conventional electric shaver with a removable shaving head with such a cutting head in order to temporarily use the device as a hair cutting machine can.
Another disadvantage of these known solutions is that the contact pressure that is supposed to press the movable knife against the stationary knife via the output member or an interposed spring is usually too small due to the unfavorable angle of attack of the output member, which is compensated by a relatively strong spring must become. As a result of the direct pressure transfer from the output organ to the movable knife, it is also not in the hand to increase the contact pressure by other means than by choosing a strong spring, but this usually brings structural difficulties.
The present invention aims to avoid the disadvantages mentioned. For this purpose, the hair clipper according to the invention is characterized in that a rocker arm pivotable on the fixed cutting head part about an axis parallel to the direction of movement of the knife and movable back and forth along this axis is provided for the transmission of movement and pressure from the output member to the movable knife of the cutting head ,
the one with the movable knife cooperating working part and one with respect to the rocker arm axis at an angular distance from the working part actuating part to interact with. owns the output member of the drive motor.
By interposing a rocker arm between the output member of the drive motor and the movable knife, it is not only possible to use this lever as a 17bexsetzungorgan to achieve the necessary contact pressure of the movable knife even with a relatively weak pressure force of the output organ, but also the angle between the actuating part and the working part of the Rocker arm ge equips on the one hand, the output member in the cheapest, d. H.
at right angles to the actuating part we let ken, even if the working part and thus the movable knife itself is at a point angle required for handling the hair clipper to the oscillation plane of the output organ of the drive motor.
In the accompanying drawing, the subject invention is shown for example; It shows: Fig. 1 is a vertical section (along the line I-I in Fig. 2) through the cutting head of a hair clipper according to the invention, Fig. 2 is a front view of the cutting head according to Fig. -1 with the housing arm cut away,
3 shows a vertical section through a first variant of the cutting head according to FIG. 1 and FIG. 4 shows a vertical section through a second variant of the cutting head according to FIG. The cutting head shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a carrier 1 which has a support rail la for the fixed knife 2 and an arm 1b protruding at an angle from the support rail la.
The knife 2 is adjustable by means not shown in the support rail la perpendicular to the toothed cutting part of this knife, but could also be firmly anchored in it or consist of one piece with it. On the underside of the boom 1 b two bolts 3 (only one visible in the figure) be fastened, which are provided with an annular groove and which can be inserted into corresponding sockets of a handle containing the drive motor not signed. So the cutting head drawn z. B. be placed on the housing of a dry shaver instead of the shaving head.
The boom 1b is designed as a box that is open at the top. The side walls of this box boom each have on their inside a groove 4 parallel to the boom bottom, into which the edges of a cover 5 curved upwards with its edge facing the knife 2 are inserted. The cover 5 could also be arranged so that it can be opened and, for this purpose, be pivotably articulated to the front end of the boom 1b.
On the side of the boom 1b, a knife 6 that can move back and forth is provided, which is mounted on the stationary knife 2 with its toothed cutting section 6a and a rear support section 6b. In the central part of the movable knife 6 raised from the knife 2, two openings are provided, in each of which a driver 7 of a rocker arm 8 loosely engages. The rocker arm 8 is formed out as a two-armed angle lever, which has a working part 8a carrying the driver 7 and an actuating part 8b arranged at an acute angle to this.
In the working position of the rocker arm 8 (Fig. 1) the working part 8a runs approximately parallel to the knife 6, while the loading actuating part 8b runs approximately parallel to the bottom of the boom 1b. The actuating part 8b engages in a manner not shown in the through a slot 1c (Fig. 2) in the bottom of the boom 1b, the back and forth swinging and simultaneously pressing against the actuating part 8b, with its axis expediently in the plane through the axes of the Bolt 3 lying clapper of the drive motor, not shown.
The rocker arm 8 is seated pivotably by means of two bearings 9 and can be moved back and forth along its pivot axis on an axis 10 supported in the fixed carrier 1. The end of the working part 8a of the rocker arm 8 facing away from the axis 10 is designed as a pressure lug 11, which the clapper on the actuating part 8b in the ratio of the leverage created by the parts 8a, 8b transfers to the movable knife 6. The end of the working part 8a of the rocker arm 8 facing the axis 10 carries a projection 12 on the side of the knife 6.
During the operation of the hair clipper described, the reciprocating clapper of the drive motor moves the rocker arm 8 back and forth on its axis 10 and presses the knife 6 against the fixed knife 2 via the nose 11, which simultaneously serves as a parallel guide Driver 7 and the knife 6 is accordingly moved back and forth. If the contact pressure transmitted from the rocker arm 8 to the knife 6 is not sufficient, an additional spring can be provided between the actuating part 8b and the clapper or fixed arm 1b. With an expedient choice of leverage, the pressure exerted by the clapper on the rocker arm 8 is sufficient in most cases.
If the knife 6 is to be removed for any reason, the cutting head is first released from its connec tion with the drive motor, whereupon the cover 4 is pulled off the boom 16. Since the clapper no longer presses on the actuating part 8b of the rocker arm 8, the latter can be tilted backwards around its axis 10 by pressure from above on the actuating part 8b so that the drivers 7 emerge from the corresponding recesses in the knife 6 exit; At the same time, the projection 12 acting as an ejector presses on the adjacent end of the knife 6 and pushes it forward so that it can easily be grasped by hand and removed.
When reinserting the knife 6 the reverse is done; with the tilt lever 8 tilted back, the knife 6 is pushed into its place, the projection 12 serving as a stop. If the rocker arm 8 is now tilted against the knife 6 again, the drivers 7 engage in the corresponding recesses in the knife 6, whereby the latter is fixed in its working position again. Now the cutting head with the bolt 3 can be plugged back onto the drive motor designed as a handle, whereby the drive connection between clapper and knife is automatically restored.
By pushing the cover 4 onto the arm 1b, the interior of the arm, which contains the movable knife and the rocker arm, is closed off, with the cover 4 curved towards the cutting part of the knife also serving as a slide guide for the cut hair, so that the latter cannot collect and jam directly behind the cutting area.
In the example described above, the rocker arm 8 is designed as a one-piece two-armed angle lever. As Fig. 3 shows, it is also possible to make the rocker arm 18 in two parts, with the working part 18a and actuating part 18b individually mounted on the axis 20 pivotable and axially displaceable ver and loaded by a spring 19 in the sense of spreading the two parts . A stop 21 limits the spreading movement of the two lever parts.
Here, too, the rocker arm 18, with the cooperation of the spring 19, presses the knife 6 with its two contact surfaces against the stationary knife 2. Otherwise, this embodiment corresponds to that according to FIGS. 1 and 2, ie. H.
the working part 18a with two drivers 7 loosely engages in corresponding recesses of the knife 6 and thereby not only ensures that it is carried along, but also that it is properly guided in parallel. Here, too, a projection 12 is provided on the working part 18a, which serves as an ejector when the movable knife rod is removed and as a stop when this knife is inserted, and the pressure of the rocker arm 18 is transmitted to the knife 6 via a nose 11 at the front end of the working part 18a .
The two lever parts 18a, 18b could be held in the spread position instead of the spreading spring 20 by a spring element designed as a bellows or a rubber-elastic intermediate layer, or the lever itself could be designed as a two-armed spring clip.
In the examples described above, the knife 6 rests against the stationary knife 2 with two bearing surfaces lying in one plane (one on the cutting section 6a, the other on the rear knife edge 6b). This not only results in perfect storage of the movable knife, but also facilitates any regrinding of the knife bearing surfaces that may become necessary, since these can be ground over in one go.
In contrast, in the variant shown in FIG. 4, the movable knife 16 rests only with its part 16a in front of the stationary knife 2, while the rear, somewhat offset knife part 16b rests on a support 23 provided on the stationary bearings 22 . Here, too, the rocker arm 28 is designed as a two-armed angle lever which sits on an axis 30 supported in the eyes 22.
The working part 28a presses with a nose 11 against the movable knife 16 and loosely engages with its drivers 7 in corresponding recesses in this Mes water, while the projection 12 serves as a stop or ejector for the movable knife 16 as in the examples described above . The driver 7 of the rocker arm can be outward ge curved flaps or be fastened pins on the working part of the lever.
The special pressure lug on the working part of the rocker arm can also be omitted, so that the front edge of the lever presses directly on the knife.
From the foregoing it is readily apparent that the cutting heads described are of simple design and easy to use; the rocker arm makes it possible to generate the desired contact pressure of the knife by selecting the appropriate lever arm lengths and it also ensures perfect parallel guidance of this knife.
