This invention relates to blin dice vehicles, that is, vehicles of the type used for the transport of ingots or other valuables.
Such vehicles are generally constructed with an armored compartment intended to receive the load and arranged to contain valuables to be transported. It is obvious that, for safety reasons, the number of doors giving access to this compartment must be reduced to a minimum. A satisfactory way of achieving this security consists of providing a single access door to this compartment, arranged in an armored partition placed between the armored compartment and the cabin. direction. In this way, access to the armored compartment can only be achieved by first opening the exterior door of the executive cabin.
However, it may be necessary to also provide a door directly connecting the armored compartment to the outside to facilitate loading and loading operations. unloading of this compartment. De anyway, whatever the arrangement adopted, it is desirable to provide locking means preventing the accidental opening or under duress of these doors.
The present invention relates to means of interconnection between at least two of the doors of an armored vehicle, so that only one of these doors can be opened at at a time. In the case of the first arrangement mentioned above, where access to the armored compartment can be effected only through two successive doors, the interconnection between these two doors causes the locking of one of these doors. doors in its closed position when opening the other door. In the event that access to the armored compartment can be made by two different routes, it is preferable to use some form of interconnection, actuated by a motor device, which allows the two doors to be locked simultaneously, each associated to an access route to the armored compartment, in their closed position.
The accompanying drawing illustrates schematically and by by way of example one embodiment and variations of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic plan view of a vehicle having interconnection means according to the invention.
Figs. 2 and 3 are detail views of two interconnection mechanisms that may be used on the vehicle shown at at fig. 1.
Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a variant of the interconnection means according to the invention.
With reference to in fig. 1 of the drawing, access to the vehicle to from the outside is made through a sliding door 2 giving access to the executive cabin. A partition 6, separating the compartment, shielded 8 intended to receive the load from the executive cabin, comprises a sliding communicating door 10. The door 10 is moved manually while the door 2 is controlled by a mechanism (not shown) of known construction comprising a hydraulic cylinder causing the pivoting of an arm. control, the whole being arranged in such a way that the force required to the opening of the door is greater than the force applied to using said jack .
An interconnection mechanism between the doors 2 and 10 is illustrated in more detail to in fig. 2. This mechanism comprises a plunger 20 carrying at one of its ends a roller or carne 22. This plunger 20 is subjected to the action of a spring 24 tending to keep it in the forward position, for which the roller 22 is also in the forward position.
An adjustment device 26 is pivoted on the one hand on the free (rear) end of the plunger 20 and on the other hand on an arm of an angled lever 28. </ B > This lever 28 is rotated to using a pivot 30 while its other end has a lock 32 </ B> directed towards the door 10. When the door 2 is open, the roller 22 is moved against the action of its return spring 24, which causes the </ B> pivoting of the elbow lever 28 and the introduction of the lock 32 into a slot 34 made in the door 10, which prevents any opening of it. Door 10 can only be opened when door 2 is closed and roller 22 is inserted into a recess 36 made in the frame or jamb of door 2.
When this door 10 is open, door 2 can no longer be opened since the lock 32 is in contact with the face of the door 10, preventing any pivoting of the elbow lever, so that the roller 22 cannot be withdrawn from the recess 36.
As already mentioned, it may be desirable to provide several doors opening to the outside of the vehicle. For example in the fie. 1 an exterior sliding door 40, illustrated in dotted lines, is provided at the rear of the armored compartment 8. </ B > When the two outer doors 2, 40 are controlled with using a motor device, it is easily possible to ensure that only one of these two doors be open at at a time. This is achieved for example by providing a single actuator or control member for the two doors.
A movement of the actuator causing the opening of one of these doors simultaneously causes the closing of the other door. The mechanism shown at the fie. 3 represents an embodiment of an interconnection which can be provided for the door 10 in the case where a partition armored vehicle is necessary between the 4 executive cabin and the 8 armored compartment.
In the example illustrated in figg. 1 to 3, doors 2 and 40 are operated to using a hydraulic device (not shown) which includes an actuated control valve with using a lever 42 placed inside inside the armored compartment 8. In its central position, lever 42 locks the two doors 2, 40 in their closed position, while when it is moved forward or backward one or the other of these doors is open. The illustrated interconnection ensures the locking of the lever 42 in its central position, for which the two outer doors 2, 40 are closed, when the inner door 10 is open. Part of the mechanism shown is identical to that shown to the fia. 2.
This mechanism therefore comprises a roller or cam 22 fixed to a pure plunger 20 subjected to the action of a spring tending to introduce this roller into a recess. In its advanced position, this roller is in contact with the edge of the door. The plunger is still connected by means of an adjustment member 26 to an elbow lever 28. In this case, however, the elbow lever comprises, pivoted on its free end, a rod 46 held in a CI guide 50 and the free end of which has a fork 48.
When the door 10 is open, the movement of the 01alet and the plunger causes the rotation of the angled c __e lever, which moves the rod 46 in the direction of the lever 42. The fork 48 traps the lever 42 between its arms and this lever can no longer be moved either in one or the other of its extreme positions, until the door 10 is of closed again. The closing of this door 10 in fact causes the release of the lever 42 by the withdrawal of the fork 48.
In the fie. 4, the driving device for operating exterior doors is illustrated. This mechanism comprises a pneumatic device 52 wedge- engaging a rack meshing with a pinion fixed on a shaft 54 to which an actuating arm 56 is fixed. The head of the arm carries a roller 58, trapped in a groove 60 made in door 2, so that the rotation of the pinion causes the arm to tilt to open and close door 2. This device is naturally generally housed behind an internal wall (not shown) extending behind the wall 6.
The motor device is actuated by the movement of the lever 42. The positions A and C of the lever 42 cause the opening of the lever. door 2, respectively another exterior door 40 (not shown) located at the other end of the vehicle. On the other hand, when this lever 42 is in its central position, these two doors are positively held in the closed position.
The fork 48 is, in this example, actuated pneumatically by a cylinder 62. A valve 64, fixed to the wall 6, is in the open position when the plate 66 is moved out of engagement Cr of a control member of this valve 64 by opening the door 10. When this valve 64 is in the open position , the fork 48 is advanced and causes the locking of the lever 42.
Between each outer door 2, 40 and the inner door 10 is a mechanical interconnection. One of these interconnections is also illustrated at la fia. 4 and is analogous to the mechanism shown at the fie. 1, the lock 32 being adapted to cooperate with a slot 34 made in the door 10.
In this case, the lock 32 is mounted on an axis 68 extending laterally, parallel to the shielded wall 6. A lever 70, in the form of a V, is attached to the opposite end of the axle. One of the arms of this 70 lever is subjected to the action of a 72 spring tending to rotate the 68 axis so to introduce the lock into the corresponding slot, while the other arm of this lever 70 has a pin 74 placed in the path of the arm 56. In this way, the latch is angularly displaced out of the corresponding slot when the arm 56 finishes its movement causing the closing of door 2.
In this way, the control lever 42 can only cause the opening of one outer door 2 to at a time when it is moved out of its central position ; < / B> on the other hand, these two doors must be in the closed position, to allow the lock 32 to be removed from the corresponding mechanical interconnections, before the internal door 10 can be opened.
In operation, access to the armored compartment intended to receive the load is controlled by the personnel located inside this compartment. When this vehicle must be left unmanned, a normally locked exterior panel (not shown) provides access to the control lever 42, ce which makes entry into the vehicle possible.
It should be noted that the invention is not limited to the particular example described in the foregoing. The invention can be applied to doors arranged in different ways or be used when a larger number of doors is to be provided. Furthermore, the actuating means for different doors can be any, in particular any one or all of the doors can be actuated manually or by means of a motor device. However, from the point of view of operational safety, it is preferable not to use an electrical device.
