s = s2 gegeben durch
EMI0003.0093
Nach Zurücklegung der Strecke<I>d s =</I> s2 <I>-</I> s1, welche in der Zeit<I>t = d t</I> erfolgt, ist somit v2 = v, - bo <I>d t, (4)</I> wobei die<I>zu s =</I> s2 gehörige Geschwindigkeit mit v2 bezeichnet ist.
EMI0004.0004
I>2 b</I></B> S-S"tdx), woraus vs <I>=</I> y <I>2 b</I> (S,".. <I>- S) (6)</I> hervorgeht.
EMI0004.0037
Am Ende der Feldumkehr ist mit<I>t = d t</I> und<I>s</I> = s2 s2 = s1 <I>+ As,</I> (10) worin
EMI0004.0041
Method and device for carrying out a reversing braking operation in a roller drive. The rolling of blocks or slabs is usually carried out with forward and backward movement of the rolled stock, with the rolls being set up after each pass of the rolling stock in one direction or the other and if necessary also the type of introduction of the rolling stock is changed into the rolls.
For such a rolling operation, it is necessary to reverse the roller drive after each pass of the rolling stock, i.e. to reverse the direction of rotation of the drive.
Reversing the roller drive requires a field reversal of the motor in the case of an electric motor drive with a constant armature current direction.
In addition, the reversing operation requires the rolling stock to be braked before the end of the respective pass or pass, so that it comes to a standstill immediately after it leaves the rollers.
The invention relates to a method for implementing the reversing braking operation in an electromotive roller drive fed by a converter with field reversal of the drive motor. This automation aimed at by the invention is based on the requirements outlined below and should meet the following conditions:
a) During the passage of the rolling mill through the rollers up to the beginning of the braking operation before the end of the passage, a certain speed of the rolling stock, which is only changed from stitch to stitch and referred to as the maximum rolling speed, should be provided.
b) During a first section of the braking operation, a field reversal of the drive motor is made, the armature current being switched off for the duration of this field reversal. In this section, the drive and the rolling stock are left to their own devices, since the drive motor does not emit any electromagnetic torque. The rolling stock suffers a constant deceleration under the action of the braking torque, which corresponds to the previous roll torque according to the adjustment of the rolls.
c) During the second section of the braking operation, which begins after the field has been reversed and the armature current of the drive motor is switched on again, the drive and the rolling stock should be braked with an increased constant delay.
For this purpose, a decreasing speed corresponding to this constant delay should be specified for the drive, which when the rolling stock exits the rolls completely reaches the value hTull, so that the rolling stock comes to a standstill. This predetermined decreasing speed should be a function of the position of the rolling stock, which is independent of the respective stitch.
To solve this control-technical problem, the invention provides a method according to which the field reversal after switching off the armature current is initiated in such a position of the rolling stock determined by means of an electronically operating analogy computing device,
that the falling speed of the drive and rolling stock left to itself during the period of field reversal during the period of field reversal with the armature de-energized has reached a value that corresponds to the specified decreasing speed when the position at the beginning of braking operation with armature current switched on again,
the control command for switching off the armature current and initiating the field reversal when the speed of the rolling stock determined by means of the computation device agrees with that for the respective position of the rolling stock, the position of the said one Distance further moved rolling stock corresponding predetermined decreasing speed takes place.
Furthermore, the invention provides that the further braking of the rolling stock after the armature current is switched on again is carried out continuously by regulating the armature current according to this predetermined decreasing speed until the rolling stock comes to a standstill when it exits the rolls completely.
This method according to the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the representations in FIGS. 1 and 2, for example. A control device for implementing the method is shown in the block diagram in FIG. 3 as an example of an implementation of the method.
In Fig. 1, the rolling process is illustrated in conjunction with the terms used below. 1 is the rolling stock that is in the initial stage of a pass through the rollers 2 and 3. The arrows shown indicate the direction of movement of the rolling stock and the associated direction of rotation of the two rollers. The rear end of the rolling stock should have the distance s from the starting position existing at the start of the run, which coincides with the ordinate marked O.
During the passage of the rolling stock, this distance of the rolling stock resting on rollers 4 at the beginning and on rollers 5 at the end of the process increases to the maximum value s "Z". on. This maximum value should correspond to the immediate exit of the rear end of the rolling stock from the nip.
The braking operation of the rolling process is initiated by the field reversal of the drive motor. As shown in FIG. 1, the field reversal should begin at s = s1 and end at s = s2. During the duration of the field reversal, the rear end of the rolling stock covers the distance d s = <I> s, -s, </I>. The armature current of the motor is interrupted for the duration of the field reversal.
During the period of the field reversal, the first phase of the braking operation, the drive and the rolling stock are left to their own devices due to the lack of an electromagnetic torque from the motor. In the subsequent second phase of the braking operation, the rolling stock is additionally braked by the electromagnetic counter-torque of the drive motor until the rolling stock comes to a standstill, which should be reached at s <I> = </I> s "tdx.
Here, the speed of the rolling stock corresponding to a constant deceleration should match a predetermined decreasing speed regardless of the stitch.
The reversing braking operation that takes these conditions into account is made clear by the graphs in FIG. Depending on the position coordinate s of the rear end of the rolling stock, the upper curves show the speed v of the rolling stock and the specified decreasing speed vs, which is the decisive value for the second phase of the braking operation. Below that the field current 11 and the armature current 1.1 of the armature current are indicated by hatching.
The route sections in the horizontal direction correspond to the routes shown in FIG. 1, marked by s1, s2 and s "" ".
After the rolling stock has started to pass through the rollers, the speed should have the maximum value v. At the beginning of the field reversal at s = s1, the speed of the rolling stock should be v1. With a uniform drive, which is assumed here, v1 = v ".
When = s1 the armature current 1 = 1 should be switched off and the field reversal should be carried out by reversing the direction of the field current <I> Ir </I>; As a result of the loss of the torque of the drive motor, a braking of the rolling stock occurs in this first phase due to the frictional resistance and the rolling work in the nip.
As a result of these influences, the constant deceleration bo of the rolling stock should occur, where b "is a function of the previous roll torque. This creates during the field reversal in which the distance <I> ds = </I> s2-s is covered, a speed drop from v1 to v2.
According to the invention, the field reversal is now achieved by reversing the direction of the field current 1F in connection with the disconnection of the armature current 1_1 in such a position of the rolling stock, which is determined by means of an electronically operating computing device described below a headed,
that the falling speed v of the rolled stock left to itself on the covered distance <I> As </I> during the duration 4t of the field reversal with the armature de-energized with the occurrence of the position s2 = s1 + ds at the beginning of the braking operation with armature current switched on again with the given decreasing speed vs has reached the corresponding value v2.
Here, as will be explained in more detail below, the control command for the initiation of the field reversal takes place when the speed v2 of the rolling stock determined by means of the computing device agrees after the field reversal has ended with the continuously calculated in advance for the respective position s of the rolling stock,
the position s + d s of the rolling stock that has been advanced by the specified distance d <I> s </I> corresponding to the predetermined decreasing speed vs. The further braking of the rolling stock after switching on the armature current 1A is carried out continuously according to the invention by regulating the armature current in accordance with the predetermined decreasing speed vs until the rolling stock comes to a standstill when it completely exits the
Rolling at <I> s = </I> sitiaz, A control device for carrying out this method is shown in the block diagram of Fig. 3 as an example of an implementation of the method, the basic circuit of the armature and field current supply via converters is also shown .
Here again 1 is the rolling stock moving through the rollers 2 and 3. The rollers 2 and 3 are coupled to the drive motor 6, the armature of which is fed by a controlled rectifier 7 and the field winding of a converter 8 in a reverse circuit. Only the coupling with the roller 3 is indicated in the drawing. The controlled rectifier is represented by a controllable discharge valve, the converter in the reverse circuit by two antiparallel connected, controllable discharge valves. A grid control device 9 is used to control the rectifier for the armature current, and a grid control device 10 is used to control the converter for the field current.
The respective direct currents can be measured by direct current converters 11 and 12 of a known circuit. The input voltages fed to the grid control devices 9 and 10 and used as manipulated variables are generated in control amplifiers 13 and 14 to which the target values of the armature current and the field current and the actual values of these currents measured by the converter are fed. A speedometer 15 is used to measure the speed of the drive motor.
The speed of the drive motor is controlled by the control amplifier 16, which outputs the setpoint values of the armature current Ia and the field current IF and to which, in addition to the actual value of the speed measured by the speedometer 15, the setpoint of the speed is fed. This target value is specified outside the braking range of the rolling stock as a DC voltage tapped at the potentiometer resistance 17.
To carry out the method of the reversing braking operation according to the invention, further devices are now provided which serve to change setpoints of the armature current 1.1, the field current 1F and the speed and thus the rolling speed at the branch points 18, 19 and 20 provided for this purpose. speed v to the control amplifier 16 feed.
These branch points are designed in a known manner as electrical switches, so that the signals supplied by the devices described below are passed on to the amplifiers 13 and 15 with priority if necessary.
As already said, to initiate the reverse braking operation at a certain position of the rolling stock described by s = si, which is to be determined by means of an electronically operating computer, a field reversal of the drive motor with simultaneous switching off of the armature current during the duration the field reversal take place. This computing device is formed in FIG. 3 by the circuit elements 21, 22, 23, 24, 25.
The values entered into the arithmetic unit and represented as direct voltages are the maximum velocity v existing up to the beginning of the field reversal. = v1 of the rolling stock, the covered distance s of the rear end of the rolling stock and the constant delay b "dependent on the given rolling torque of the drive and rolling stock left to itself during the duration of the field reversal.
The maximum speed v "= v1 is taken from the instantaneous value v of the speed of the rolling stock obtained, for example, by evaluating the voltage of the tachometer, which corresponds to v1 at the beginning of the field reversal, as can be seen in FIG. 3 below.
On the basis of the assumed value of b which is assumed to be known or which can be determined by measuring the torque, is the speed

of the rolling stock during the field reversal period, i.e. when covering the distance from <I> s = </I> s1 to.
s = s2 given by
EMI0003.0093
From this it follows, taking into account the known initial condition for the speed as a function of the time t v = v '- bo <I> t. (3) </I> The time begins with the value zero at s = s1.
After covering the distance <I> ds = </I> s2 <I> - </I> s1, which takes place in the time <I> t = dt </I>, v2 = v, - bo <I > dt, (4) </I> where the <I> associated with s = </I> s2 is denoted by v2.
v2 is the speed which, according to the invention, at the end of the field reversal, should match the predetermined decreasing speed vs, which is decisive for the subsequent braking operation with the armature current switched on again.
Since the period <I> dt </I> of the field reversal is a fixed, known variable, equation (4) gives the speed v2 as a function of the specified variables v "and b ,. The evaluation of this equation amounts to a subtraction This takes place by means of the circuit element 22, the output signal of which represents a voltage corresponding to the variable v2.
The evaluation of the specified decreasing speed vs, which is to be expected for s = s2, will now be described.
To this end, the following considerations should be made: The characteristic of the specified decreasing speed vs is the constant deceleration on which this is based, which should have the value b, with <I> b> </I> b for the operating state on which this is based, is to be assumed.
So it is

From this, in a known manner, a relationship can be derived between the speed and the distance covered, namely VSz = - (<B> <I> 2 b </I> </B> SS "tdx), from which vs <I> = </I> y <I> 2 b </I> (S, ".. <I> - S) (6) </I>.
This function (6), in which <I> b </I> and s "" x are to be regarded as given, represents a fixed relationship between s and vs. This relationship can be established by what is known as a function diagram of a known circuit . Such function builders are in Fig. 3, the circuit elements 23 and 26, of which the former is initially of interest.
According to the invention, at s = s1, this function generator 23 should output the value vs expected for s <I> = </I> s2 <I>, which is required to agree with the value of v2.
In order to prepare the evaluation required for this purpose, equation (2) in conjunction with equation (1) should be used as a basis, according to which

is. From this it follows that the time t is counted again from the beginning of the field reversal at s = s1,
EMI0004.0037
At the end of the field reversal, <I> t = d t </I> and <I> s </I> = s2 s2 = s1 <I> + As, </I> (10) where

is. Circuit elements 24 and 25 are provided for evaluating these two equations (10) and (11).
Since the duration <I> d t </I> of the field reversal is a fixed, known quantity, <I> d s </I> is obtained from the values of v "and b" by calculating the difference between the quantities on the right in equation (11). This evaluation is made with the circuit element 25 before. The input signals of this circuit element serving a subtraction are the voltages corresponding to the quantities v and b "; a voltage corresponding to the quantity d s is taken as the output signal.
The voltage corresponding to the quantity s is added to this voltage in the further circuit element 24 serving for addition, so that a voltage corresponding to the quantity <I> s + d s </I> appears in the output of 24. As you will notice, at the moment s has been written instead of s1, since the quantity s1 is initially unknown and is only to be determined by the arithmetic operations described below.
The voltage corresponding to the value of s + ds forms the input signal of the function generator 23 already mentioned, which solves the task, equation (6), applied for the quantity <I> s + <B> A </B> s, </I> for given values of <I> b </I> and s, "" to be continuously evaluated to determine the associated value of vs.
The part of the computing device described so far, consisting of the circuit elements 22 and 23 to 25, thus provides on the one hand a value of the speed v2 independent of s at the end of the field reversal and on the other hand continuously the values of the predetermined decreasing speed vs for <I> s + As . </I> Here one has to imagine that the rolling stock is in motion during the computational evaluation and that s is therefore variable.
When the value s = s1 is found, the calculation should end and the field reversal should be initiated.
The ongoing evaluation by the previously described parts of the computing device, which takes place when the value of s is constantly increasing, is apparently ended when, at a certain value s = s1, the agreement for s. = s1 + 4 s expected two speed values v, and vs occurs. This correspondence is determined by means of a circuit element 21.
The output signals from the circuit elements 22 and 23 are supplied to this circuit element as input signals. As already mentioned, one of these signals is the voltage independent of s and corresponding to the speed v2. The other signal is the voltage corresponding to the predetermined decreasing speed vs which is dependent on s. At a specific value of s, namely s = s1, the circuit element 21 determines that the speeds correspond.
At this moment the circuit element 21, which is used to issue the control commands for initiating the field reversal, emits two output signals, the first of which at the branch point 18 reduces the setpoint of the armature current 1A to zero, and the other at the branch point 19 reverses the setpoint of the field current. As already mentioned, the branch points 18 and 19 are designed as electrical switches in such a way that the signals emitted by the circuit element 21 for the changed setpoint values of 1.i and 11 are superordinate to the previous setpoint values.
The field reversal is thus initiated, and it is ensured that the field reversal is terminated at a value s = s2 = s1 + A s for which the speed values v. and vs match.
This is followed by a circuit element that represents the already mentioned second function generator, namely the circuit element 26. This differs from the aforementioned circuit element 23 in that the voltage corresponding to the variable s is supplied alone as the input signal. The function generator emits a voltage corresponding to the speed vs at the right output.
In addition, the function generator should output a voltage at the left output that corresponds to the speed of the drive motor, which is proportional to the speed of the rolling stock. corresponds.
This output voltage of 26, which determines the setpoint of the speed during the braking of the rolling stock when the armature current is switched on again, is preferably effective via the branch point 20 as soon as this speed is lower than the maximum speed corresponding to the maximum speed v, specified by the potentiometer 17.
This means that after the field reversal has been completed and the armature current is switched on again, the rest of the movement of the rolling stock will take place according to the given decreasing speed vs. For this, however, it is still necessary that at s = s2 the armature current switched off during the field reversal is switched on again.
This task is fulfilled by the further Schaltungsele element 27, which is influenced by the predetermined decreasing speed vs determined by s alone, obtained via the function generator 26, and by the speed v of the rolling stock.
As soon as vs falls below the value of v_, this circuit element emits a signal to a branch point 28, which makes the signal previously given to branch point 18 ineffective again, so that the control amplifier 16 returns to the setpoint of the armature current 1A in the original manner The only difference is that this setpoint value is no longer determined by the voltage output by the potentiometer 17, but rather by the voltage output by the function generator 26.
Thus, the supply of the drive motor towards the armature current and the field current is regulated in such a way that the movement of the rolling stock according to the predetermined decreasing speed vs until it comes to a standstill after leaving the rollers.
The task of reactivating the armature current switched off during the field reversal period at <I> s = </I> s2 can also be achieved in a way other than the just described comparison of the speed v of the rolling stock with the specified decreasing speed vs. One possibility, for example, is to start from the fact, which was already taken into account in the previous calculation, that the duration <I> d t </I> of the field reversal is a fixed, known variable.
This possibility is taken into account by the arrangement of another circuit element taking the place of the circuit element 27, which, without being influenced by the speeds v and vs, at the time <I> dt </I> emits a signal to the branch point after the field reversal has been initiated makes the signal given to the branch point 18 ineffective again,
so that the control amplifier 16 gains influence on the setpoint value of the armature current 1A in the original manner, such that this setpoint value is determined in the manner already described by the voltage output by the function generator 26.
This circuit element can, for example, consist of a device provided with a timer which, depending on the appearance of the field reversal to initiate the field reversal on the circuit element (21) intended for this purpose, starts the field reversal after the specified period of time has elapsed said branch point (18) emits a voltage suitable as a signal for the aforementioned purpose.
