Description
Device for chamfering pipe ends The present invention relates to a device for chamfering pipe ends with a milling head which can be moved towards the pipe secured against rotation by an axially displaceable spindle.
In tube adjustment systems, the tubes coming from a rolling mill or a drawing mill are first straightened and then divided into commercial lengths. Since the cut surfaces of the pipe ends are not free of burrs and some of the pipes have to be provided with a thread at both ends, it is necessary to deburr and bevel the ends.
In the known devices for chamfering the pipe ends, the milling head is firmly connected to an axially movable spindle, by means of which it can be moved towards the pipe end. However, since the ends of the pipes do not become absolutely straight during the straightening process and therefore do not face axially opposite the milling head, the pipe ends do not have a desirable bevel.
Man: So far, this disadvantage has been accepted. However, operating experience has shown that the off-center chamfered pipes do not meet your requirements. To avoid this disadvantage, it is proposed according to the invention to connect the milling head raummobil Lich to the spindle.
To connect the milling head to the spindle, a known articulated shaft can be used, which can be supported by elastic means on a sleeve surrounding the articulated shaft.
With the aid of the drawing, which schematically shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the details thereof are explained in more detail below: 1 denotes a spindle which is mounted in the housing 3 so as to be axially displaceable and rotatable in the direction of arrow 2 by means not shown . The milling head 4 is connected in a spatially movable manner to the spindle 1 by a cardan shaft 5 and is supported via elastic means 6 on a sleeve 7 which surrounds the cardan shaft 5 in a sealing manner.
To form a closed lubricant space, a seal 8 is left on the end face 7a of the sleeve 7. The elastic means 6 has a vibration-damping effect. The end 9a of the pipe 9, which is secured against rotation by means not shown, can thereby also be grasped by the milling head 4 if it is slightly curved,
the milling head 4 is not axially opposite. One. Milling head mounted according to the invention can advantageously also be used in the so-called rotating milling machines in which the tubes are guided past the milling heads on an arc of a circle.
