Stahlhalter.

Steel holder.
The invention relates to a steel holder in which the cutting steel is gripped on three sides in a lateral groove and secured against falling out on the fourth side with a continuous screw, so that the simultaneous application of the cutting steel to the three sides of the groove and the lateral arrangement This groove in the steel holder, the entire clamping pressure is not transferred to the screw, but directly to the holding body. The invention consists in that the groove parallel to the longitudinal axis of the holder end containing the groove, u. Zw. Is preferably arranged in its plane of symmetry, whereby the cutting steels can be used on the left and right.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention. A groove c is milled laterally in the holding body a and encompasses the cutting tool b from three sides. Since the groove c is arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the holder end, the cutting steel can be used either left or right after turning the holder by 1800. The screw e has a square

the cutting steel with its head in the groove. Because the head of the screw is somewhat recessed on its surface e resting on the cutting steel, the points of application of the contact pressure fall outside the screw shank and the cutting steel is not subjected to bending by the screw, but only to pressure.
The flat, preferably oval shaft part of the screw is located in a corresponding recess in the holder and thereby secures it against rotation.
