So muss z.
Process for the production of moldings from casting resin and casting mold for
Implementation of the procedure
In the production of molded bodies from casting resin, the task often occurs to insert a molded body made of a different material, e.g. B. metal, existing body partially, d. H. to be embedded in such a way that part of this body protrudes from the finished cast resin molding. So z. B. in electrical bushing insulators made of cast resin, the bushing bolts are embedded so that its two ends protrude from the cast resin body. Also fastening and connection fittings in other electrical cast resin insulating bodies, including z.
B. the terminals or connecting rail pieces for the embedded in cast resin body windings of transformers, transducers or inductors must be embedded in this way. In the case of the casting molds that have become known up to now for the production of such molded bodies from casting resin with partially embedded metal bodies, great difficulties or
Trouble at the point at which the part of the metal body that is not to be embedded is to emerge from the molded body to be cast, between the casting mold, which at this point usually also has a parting line, and this metal body part, which penetrates the wall of the casting mold and protrudes from the casting mold, for to ensure such a good seal that no casting resin can get into the space of the casting mold that accommodates this part of the metal body and possibly also flow out of the casting mold. This sealing problem is particularly difficult if the part of the metal body that is not to be embedded has an external thread, as it is, for. B. is the case with a lead-through bolt, or has bores or perforations.
However, if the seal is not good, after the casting and hardening process has ended and the casting mold has been removed from the molded body, a lot of time and work have to be expended to remove the casting resin from the protruding metal body part.
The invention relates to a method for the production of moldings from casting resin, in which made of another material, for. B. metal, existing bodies are partially embedded. The described difficulties and disadvantages are avoided according to the invention in that that part of the body to be embedded which is to protrude from the molded body to be cast is provided with a cap that tightly surrounds it, then the body provided with the cap is introduced into the mold and after casting and hardening of the casting resin, the casting mold is removed from the molded body and then the cap is removed from the body partially embedded in the molded body. Since it is possible without difficulty to design the cap in such a way that it tightly encloses the part of the body that is not to be embedded, and its outer shape is so simple, e.g.
B. to make it cylindrical so that it rests precisely on the relevant inner wall of the casting mold, the described difficult sealing problem does not occur at all in the method according to the invention, i.e. H. the production of such molded bodies from casting resin with a body made of a different material that is only partially embedded becomes much easier and less time-consuming than before.
The invention also relates to a casting mold for the production of moldings from casting resin by this method; namely, the cap with which the body to be partially embedded is provided before it is introduced into the casting mold, forms part of the casting mold. Preferably, the cap is used at the same time for holding or distancing the body to be embedded in the casting mold.
In a casting mold according to the invention there is no overlap of seals, as is the case with the previously known casting molds for the production of molded bodies in which bodies made of another material are to be partially embedded. Such points of a casting mold at which seals overlap can only be properly sealed with great effort, if at all.
1 and 2 show, in longitudinal section and in a cross section along A-B, an example of a casting mold according to the invention, which is intended for producing a bushing insulator from casting resin. The lead-through bolt is designated with 11, the two ends of which are provided with external threads.
For the sake of simplicity, only one end 12 is shown in FIG. 1. A cylindrical cap 13 with an internal thread, which is expediently made of metal, is screwed onto this and envelops the bolt 11 as far as it should protrude from the insulating body 14 to be molded from cast resin. The lead-through bolt provided with the cap 13 is inserted into the casting mold having the two parts 15 and 16. The parting line between the two molded parts 15, 16 is denoted by 17. The mold is designed in such a way that the cap 13 simultaneously serves to hold the leadthrough bolt 11 to be embedded in the casting mold. As can be seen, the cap 13 also forms part of the casting mold in that it complements the other two mold parts 15, 16 in such a way that the end 12 of the bolt 11 remains free of casting resin.
A mold release agent is applied to the annular surface 18 of the cap 13, which comes into contact with the casting resin, as is usual on the inner walls of the casting mold; then the casting resin required to form the insulating body 14 is filled in through a filling channel (not shown), preferably under vacuum. The riser is also not shown in the drawing. After the casting resin has hardened sufficiently, the molded parts 15, 16 are removed and then the cap 13 is unscrewed. The narrow gap 19 visible in the drawing between the cover of the cap 13 and the molded parts 15, 16 ensures that the mold is not stressed unfavorably and possibly burst when the bolt 11 is heated during the casting and hardening process Extends lengthways.
In the case of the casting mold according to the invention shown in the drawing, it is sufficient to arrange a seal in the parting line between the two mold parts 15 and 16, as is customary in casting technology. This schematically indicated seal is designated by 20 in the drawing.
If that part of the body to be embedded that is to protrude from the molded body to be cast does not have an external thread, as is the case, for. B. is the case with the connecting rail pieces (flat rail pieces) of a resin-embedded winding of a transducer, according to the invention, the correspondingly designed cap on the relevant part of the body to be embedded, so z. B. simply pushed onto each of the connecting rail pieces, as long as they must remain free of the casting resin, preferably using a lubricant which, on the one hand, facilitates the pushing on of the tightly fitting cap and, on the other hand, prevents the penetration of casting resin between the cap and connecting rail piece.
