Straightening machine for straightening drill pipes The present invention relates to a straightening machine for straightening drill pipes.
If up to now, when drilling holes in the ground, especially when drilling for petroleum, the extension rods bent, they had to be brought to a workshop to be straightened there. This process was not only extremely costly, but also required large stocks of extension tubes.
The present invention aims to remedy this drawback. The straightening machine according to the invention is characterized in that it is designed to be mobile, with means for axially displacing the object to be straightened, with rolling means to rotate it about its longitudinal axis, and with straightening means, all for the purpose at a freely selectable location to rotate the material to be straightened around its longitudinal axis in order to determine the point of deflection, then to move it in the longitudinal direction to a predetermined position and then to straighten it in this position.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is then explained using figures. It shows: FIG. 1 a perspective illustration of a straightening machine in operation, FIG. 2 a schematic illustration of a section through a straightening punch and a pipe to be straightened underneath.
The machine has a main frame 1 and a transverse frame 2. A stub axle (not visible), which are used to support two wheels 3, is attached to this transverse frame on both sides. These are provided with protective plates 4 and 5. On the cross frame a pump unit gat 6 is arranged, which is equipped with supply hoses 7 and 8. On both sides of the main frame 1, tubes 9 and 10 designed as cylinders are provided, in which pistons connected by a yoke 11 run. The yoke 11 is used to receive a threaded spindle 12, the lower free end of which is equipped with an alignment punch 13.
A bracket 14 guided between the cylinders 9 and 10 is used to guide the straightening die 13. Above the bracket 14 there is an adjusting wheel 15, with the aid of which the straightening die can be moved up and down parallel to the axes of the cylinders 9 and 10 . With the help of this wheel 15 can. the altitude of this alignment punch can be selected before.
On the main support 1 on both sides of the yoke 11 rollers 16 are arranged, which, as in Fig. 1 it is visible, are V-shaped. These rollers 16 are mounted on supports 17 by means of shafts 18. The supports 17 can be attached to the frame 1 in predetermined positions. The carrier 1 is expediently provided on both sides with tubular parts 19 and 20, in which telescopic rods 21 and 22 each of a boom can be displaced, i. H. extendable and retractable are arranged.
The main frame 1 is mounted on height-adjustable and foldable feet 23 and 24, each boom with the tubes 21 and 22 on a vertically adjustable support 25 ble. At the end of the support there is again a V-shaped roller 16 and a hydraulically raised and lowered roller pair 26, the rollers 27 and 28 of which are connected by means of a pair of tabs 29. The roller axes are practically parallel to the two axes of the tubes 21 and 22, i.e. H. to the axis of the target 30, is arranged.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the straightening punch has a cross section with a V-shaped depression. The purpose of this is to create a larger contact surface during straightening in order to reduce the specific surface pressure on the object 30 to be straightened. It is also possible to make the depression not V-shaped, but rather cylindrical, which can be particularly indicated when the same pipe dimension always has to be directed.
Instead of a hydraulic one, a pneumatic working and movement system could also be seen.
There is a pressure relief valve in this system, which is adjustable and, depending on the cross-sectional size and shape, allows the maximum pressure that can be achieved in the system to be set.
The machine is operated as follows: After it is pulled to the desired location as a trailer and there is released from the traction vehicle, the feet 23 and 24 are folded down and adjusted to the correct height so that the whole machine is jacked up firmly. The rods 21 and 22 of the boom are then pulled out to the necessary extent and the corresponding supports 25 are adjusted in terms of their height. Now the Pum penaggregat is set in motion and the rollers are pairs 26 raised.
The pipe 30 to be straightened is placed on the roller pairs 26 and rotated by hand until it is clear at which point the pipe is bent and therefore has to be straightened. The roller pairs 26 are then lowered so that the tube 30 comes to rest on the rollers 16. The pipe 30 is now shifted until the point to be straightened lies under the straightening punch 13. Corresponding to the diameter of the pipe, the spindle 12 and with it the straightening punch 13 attached to it have been lowered into the region of the pipe 30 with the aid of the adjusting wheel 15.
The tube 30 is held in its position in which the straightening punch 13 is to act on it and the pistons in the cylinders 9 and 10 are acted upon by means of a lever. The pistons move downwards and take the yoke 11 connected to the piston rods with them, as well as the alignment punch 13 via the threaded rod 12. This comes to rest on the pipe 30 according to FIG. 2. According to the Regu control valve set, the pressure in the hydraulic system increases; the straightening punch 13 presses on the pipe 30 to be straightened and bends it accordingly.
By setting the control lever, the yoke 11 moves up again together with the straightening die 13 and, if the straightening has been carried out properly, the previous kink or bulge has disappeared at this point on the tube 30.
Now the pairs of rollers 26 are raised again to support the tube 30, and the process described begins again.
It is continued until the tube 30 is straightened to the required extent. If the straightening work at a drilling point is finished, the supports 25 are lowered, the feet 23 and 24, the boom tubes 21 and 22 pushed in, the feet 23 and 24 folded up, and the machine is ready to be transported to the next application site.
By moving the rollers 16, which are on both sides of the straightening punch 13, the support width of the pipe 30 can be changed, which makes it possible to straighten pipe curvatures of small and large radiuses of curvature.
The machine described above has the advantage that it can be set up anywhere, completely independently of external sources, and in particular at the drilling sites themselves.
Furthermore, hydraulically operated rollers allow pairs to easily determine the location of the pipe to be straightened. A special recess in the straightening punch ensures good support during straightening and prevents local over-tension in the object to be straightened. A regulating valve in the hydraulic line ensures that the corresponding maximum pressures are not exceeded. The axial displacement of the support rollers also enables curvatures of different radii of curvature to be straightened.
