Description

Drive arrangement for work machines with a large degree of irregularity, in particular looms In loom drives, an elastic intermediate element in the form of a so-called spring clutch is switched on between the drive and loom in order to prevent the strong energy fluctuations caused by the oscillating masses of the loom from being transferred to the shaft of the drive machine.

In most cases a clutch is arranged between the loom and the motor. The engine then runs continuously and can immediately deliver its full torque when the clutch is engaged. This accelerates the loom quickly when it is switched on.

When using a spring clutch, however, difficulties arise here because the spring is initially tensioned at the moment the clutch is engaged. During this time, only a small moment is transmitted to the loom, which is usually not sufficient for the required rapid acceleration of the loom. In particular, if the shop is in an unfavorable position, the loom will not operate properly. If the loom is about to hit a shooter when it is switched on, the first shot is entered too weakly, the shooter remains in the compartment and the shut-off device responds.

Only after the spring has been fully wound up does a limiting cam hit the upper stop of the spring clutch after running through almost a full motor revolution and only then can a higher torque be transmitted to the loom by the motor.

Depending on the load on the loom, it is necessary to set a spring preload, corresponding to an operating point that corresponds to the mean moment in operation, so that the spring can work freely and does not hit the upper or lower stop. Every change in load, for example by switching to a different product, requires a change in the preload and thus manual intervention.

The invention is based on the object of making the elastic inter mediate member provided in an arrangement for work machines with a large degree of irregularity largely ineffective sam during startup. According to the invention it is proposed to mechanically connect a stop member to the elastic intermediate member in parallel, which can move in a chamber filled with a viscous mass. The stop member is preferably designed as a disk with a sector recess in which a stop cam connected to the motor shaft in a non-positive manner can move freely through a certain angle.

The size of the sector recess corresponds to the relatively small working angle that the spring needs to swing freely.

When the clutch is engaged, the cam strikes the edge of the sector recess of the stop disk after having traversed a short path. The torque of the motor and thus the force that the cam exerts to move the disk further generates a shear stress in the highly viscous mass, which inhibits the movement of the disk so that the full starting torque can then be transmitted via the mass. For example, the loom is properly accelerated in this way.

When changing the load z. B. the loom there is an automatic adjustment of the spring clutch to the new working point, since the disc is adjusted by the cam until the spring swings freely again. Depending on the size of the adjustment forces, the setting of the disc is slower or faster; but even with the smallest forces there is still a long-seed movement.

At the same time, the highly viscous mass dampens the impacts of the cam against the edges of the stop disc, so that special buffering is no longer necessary. Such an arrangement can also be used to good effect for shock absorption alone, that is to say without a loom spring clutch.

For this purpose, viscous synthetic resin compounds are preferably used, which can transfer larger forces with increasing shear stress, but still allow the disc to be shifted even with small restoring forces. The power transmission between the stop member and the chamber takes place in particular through the shear stress of the highly viscous mass. For this reason, it is advantageous to design the force transmission members flat. Furthermore, an adjustment of the portable force can be made by adjusting the gap between the stop member and chamber.

Further details emerge from the following description of an exemplary embodiment. FIG. 1 shows a side view of the spring clutch in section, and FIG. 2 shows a section along the line 1-I of FIG. 1.

The motor housing is indicated by 1. A hub 4 is fastened to the motor shaft 2 with the aid of a bolt 3 and forms one of the abutments of the oscillating spring 5. The other end of the oscillating spring 5 is fastened with the aid of a bolt 6 in the housing 7 of the spring clutch. The hitch housing 7 has a hub 8 with which it is rotatably mounted on the motor shaft 2. On the hub 8 a gear 9 is keyed, which z with the driven part. B. a loom in drive connection.

On the elongated hub part 10, a cam 11 is formed, which can move freely in a recess 12 (Fig. 2) of a stop disk 13. The stop disk 13 is freely movable in a chamber which is formed by a disk 14 and a cover 15. The disk 14 and the cover 15 are firmly connected to the coupling housing 7 in the manner shown in FIG. The chamber formed by the discs 14, 15, in which the disc 13 can move freely, is coated with a viscous mass, e.g. B. Resin filled. Sealing rings are indicated by 16 in order to prevent the compound from escaping at the hub 10, 11.

The oscillation space recess 12 is approximately 105, so that the cam 11 can rotate freely by approximately 60. This free rotation of the cam also corresponds to the maximum amplitude of the spring 5 during operation. If the clutch is disengaged, the oscillating spring 5 will relax almost completely, the stop disk 13 being rotated accordingly and the cam 11 coming into contact with one of the stops 17 or 18. If the clutch is engaged to start the loom, the cam moves against the other stop 18 of the stop disk and rotates the stop disk 13.

High torque can be transmitted via the highly viscous mass, so that the loom can be accelerated correspondingly quickly. Simultaneously with the rotation of the disk, the spring 5 tensions until the spring force corresponds to the mean operating torque. Now the spring can and begins to vibrate. With each oscillation, the cam 11 hits the upper stop of the stop disc 13 once and moves it slowly on until the spring can swing practically completely freely. If the mean load torque of the loom changes during operation, the cam 11 will again push against the stop disk for a while and move it slowly into the new operating position.

Practical tests have shown that with the appropriate dimensioning of the chamber formed by the disks 14 and 15 and the selection of the filling liquid, there is a considerable improvement in the start-up ratios when the loom is started via a clutch. In particular, a perfect weft insertion can still be achieved when switching on from very unfavorable shop positions. Another essential advantage of the arrangement according to the invention is that the spring clutch automatically adjusts itself to the most favorable operating point. Adjustment during operation and adaptation to changed operating conditions is no longer necessary.

Furthermore, buffer members of any kind have become superfluous, since the highly viscous mass takes over the effect of these buffer members.
