Control valve The invention relates to a control valve of the type in which one sealing surface of the valve is made of plastic.
In valves where great demands are placed on a completely tight seal and where it is necessary, in order to ensure that the valve's functionality remains unchanged, that wear on the valve body is as low as possible, even after long use, one has one in some cases Valve cone made of hard metal with a finely machined surface or made of glass or precious stone such as agate, used, which valve body interacts with a seat made of plastic. When using a valve body made of glass or precious stone one escapes the risk of electrolytic corrosion, but only to a certain extent a reduction in the mechanical erosion of the surface of the valve body.
It has been shown that mechanical wear due to cavitation is still a problem, even in the case of valves with valve bodies made of precious stone or semi-precious stone and valve seat made of plastic.
The purpose of the invention is to create a control valve, especially a control valve in a cooling system, in which both electrolytic corrosion and mechanical erosion, regardless of whether it comes from cavitation or foreign bodies, remains minimal. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the sealing surfaces of both the valve body and the valve seat are made of plastic.
Surprisingly, it has been shown that by abandoning the usual notion that one sealing surface should be hard and the other soft, you get a valve that closes tightly due to the elasticity of the material and does not get lost in the liquid due to cavitation or foreign bodies closes, but keeps its throttle characteristics unchanged for a long time.
A plastic that has shown itself to be particularly resistant to cavitation is polytetrafluoroethylene.
It is also useful that at least one of the sealing surfaces is reinforced, preferably with glass fibers. In this way, e.g. B. possible to produce a valve cone tip that has sufficient mechanical strength.
In consideration of the strength, the control valve can also be designed so that one or both sealing surfaces made of plastic are attached to a stiffer material as an insert or clothing.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, in Fig. 1 and 2 show two different Ausführungsfor men of the valve body and the seat in Regelven valves according to the invention.
The parts shown are intended for use in control valves for refrigeration systems, where the valve body is controlled by the pressure in a membrane chamber which is in communication with a temperature sensor. The cooling medium flows in the direction of the arrows during expansion through the valve to the evaporator of the cooling system.
Fig. 1 shows the design of the sealing surfaces in a valve with a relatively small flow area. An annular valve seat 1 made of polytetrafluoroethylene is attached here as an insert in the Ge housing 2 of the valve, and a valve spindle controlled by the temperature sensor 3 carries a reinforced valve cone 4 made of polytetrafluoroethylene, which interacts with the valve seat 1.
Fig. 2 shows the design of sealing surfaces in a control valve with a somewhat larger flow area. An annular valve seat 5 made of polytetralfluoroethylene has a conical design here and its widest end is pressed into the valve housing 6.
The valve seat 5 can lie at its narrowest end with an annular mouth edge against a disk-shaped valve body made of reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene. The valve body 7 is also conical and is pressed with its widest end in a body 8 made of rigid material.
