Description
Valve, in particular for mixer taps The present invention relates to a valve, in particular for mixer taps, which is characterized by an O-ring serving to seal the valve, as well as by a head on the valve body, which is shaped in such a way that the flow rate over the larger part of the valve lift is approximately proportional to the lift.
Embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are then tert erläu with reference to the drawing. It shows in excerpts: Fig. 1 is a section through a valve in closed position with a conical seat with sealing ring in the valve body, Fig. 2 is a valve in the half-open position with sealing ring from the valve seat, Fig. 3 is a section through a further embodiment Approximate shape of a valve in the closed position, Fig. 4 shows a valve analogous to Fig. 2 with a sealing ring in the valve seat,
5 shows a section through a further embodiment analogous to FIG. 1, FIG. 6 shows a valve analogous to FIG. 2.
The valves shown in the figures have a valve body 1 with a spherical cap-shaped front head 1 ', the valve seat of which is arranged in a part 3 on. The front head can also be shaped differently, but in such a way that the flow rate over the greater part of the valve stroke is also approximately proportional to the stroke.
As a sealing organ, an O-ring 2 is used, which in the cone valve according to FIG. 1, the flat valve according to FIG. 3 and the valve with a spherical seat according to FIG. 5 in the valve body, in the embodiments according to FIGS. 2, 4 and 6 is arranged in the valve seat 3.
This construction, in which a very good and precise regulation of the flow rate is achieved through the action of the existing front head 1 ', also allows the valve to be closed absolutely tightly and without kickback with small closing pressures.
The aerodynamically advantageous shape especially of the embodiments according to FIGS. 1, 2, 5 and 6 achieves a reduction in friction and flow noise. Up to now, especially with faucets and hot water valves, so undesirable swelling of the rubber and / or plastic seals, with a consequent strongly fluctuating amount of water, especially the warm water, are practically eliminated by this construction.
Replacing the O-ring is easy. In all versions, it sits with some tension in a dovetail-shaped groove 4, which takes up and encloses the ring 2 in thickness to approximately 85%.
When closing the valve, the O-ring 2 is slightly compressed. It can expand within the groove 4.
Another advantage of this arrangement is that the closing movement of the valve is limited by the metal valve body resting on the me-tallenen valve seat, so that the O -ring can only be subjected to pressure as far as the depth of the groove and the size of the O-ring is predetermined.
