Fig. 1 und 2 zeigen in einem Längs- bzw.
Fig.3 und 4 zeigen einen Längs- bzw.
Infinitely variable hydraulic machine which can be used as a pump or motor The invention relates to an infinitely variable hydraulic machine which can be used as a pump or motor and has a cylinder block with pistons and a guide ring for the pistons.
Radial multi-piston pumps have a rotating cylinder block. The cylindrical Kol ben are moved by an eccentric ring (housing) opposite the rotating cylinder block. In the center of the cylinder block there is a pin with holes and recesses for the supply and discharge of the liquid to be pumped. The piston stroke is determined by the eccentricity.
These known radial piston pumps wei sen the disadvantage that there is strong friction between the piston and the raceway of the ring or housing and that a tilting moment on the piston is effective due to the off-center force application, which results in strong friction with the The result is that the efficiency and service life of these machines are reduced.
The invention has set itself the task of creating a hydraulic machine that can be used as a pump or motor, which is continuously adjustable and in which the above-mentioned phenomena that are detrimental to efficiency and service life are avoided. This is achieved according to the invention in that the pistons are each provided at their outer ends with a recessed ball intended for rolling on the raceway and also have at least one recess opening into the pressure chamber to allow liquid to pass through To enable the formation of a lubricant film on the ball raceway.
In the drawing, four exemplary embodiments of the subject of the invention to be used as liquid pumps are shown. Fig. 1 and 2 show in a longitudinal and cross section, the first embodiment of the hydraulic machine.
3 and 4 show a longitudinal or cross section through the second embodiment.
Fig. 5 and 6 a third and a fourth embodiment from, the housing and the race are shown in cross section, while Fig. 7 shows a detail of the machine on a larger scale and in section.
The liquid pump according to FIGS. 1 and 2 has a housing 1, in the inner circumferential surface of which a groove 2 is provided for the insertion of a race 3 for the pump piston. The raceway 3 be seated a circular, concave raceway 4 in cross section. The raceway 4 can also have the shape of an ellipse. In the housing 1, a cylinder block 5 is housed with four radial, acting as a cylinder bores 12, which is verbun with a drive pin 7 led out of the housing. The cylinder block itself is rotatable on a pin 8 with slots and bores 9 and 10 for the supply and discharge of the liquid to be conveyed.
Axially movable cylindrical pistons 13, the outer ends of which have a recess for inserting a ball 11, are inserted into the bores 12. The pistons 13 tend to move away from the axis of rotation when the cylinder block rotates under the effect of the centrifugal forces that occur, so that the balls 11 lie against the raceway of the raceway 3 and remain in permanent contact with the latter.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2, the cylinder block 5 is hen with four bores 12 verses, the pairs of diametrically opposite each other gene and a distance of 90 against each other have. The raceway 4 of the raceway 3 is designed such that in each case during the rotation of the cylinder block 5 in the direction of rotation d two one of the diametrically opposed balls ausfüh the same relative movement with respect to the axis of rotation, d. H.
move during half a turn in the direction of the axis of rotation and the other at the balls move away from the axis of rotation, which is achieved in that the running surface 4 has two eccentrically formed track parts with respect to the axis of rotation, which are identical and symmetrical .
The mode of operation of the liquid pump corresponds to that of the known radial piston pumps with cylindrical pistons. During the rotation of the cylinder block 5, the balls 11 remain in constant contact with the raceway 4 of the running ring 3.
The balls perform two outward and two inward stroke movements during one revolution of the cylinder block, with the cylinder bores with the inlet ducts 9 during the outward movement of the piston 13 in the cylinder bores 12 in the range of rotation of the angle e and during the inward movement of the Pistons are connected to the outlet channels 10 of the pump in the range of rotation of the angle a.
Compared to the known radial piston pumps, there is the advantage during operation that the balls roll on the raceway of the race and no tilting moment can occur, further that the pin 8 with the inlet and outlet channels is not loaded on one side, since two diametrically opposed to one another opposite pressure zones come, which cancel each other out in their force effect.
The flow rate of the pump is regulated by changing the position of the bearing ring in relation to the channels in the journal by rotating it around its own axis. In the gezeich designated embodiment of FIG. 2, a maximum delivery amount is present in the ge showed position of the race. If the ring is turned 45, there is no funding. Another turn by 45 results in a maximum delivery rate, but in the opposite direction.
The ball track 4 can also have the shape of an ellipse instead of the shape shown in FIG. Furthermore, there is a further Reguliermög possibility that the pin 8 is rotatably arranged on. As a result, the desired regulation can be carried out both by rotating the raceway and by rotating the pin or by rotating the raceway and the pin.
As a result of the concave ball raceway on the race, there is a larger contact surface with the balls compared to a straight contact surface, which increases the load capacity of the machine.
The embodiment of the pump according to FIGS. 3 and 4 differs from that according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in that the raceway 3a has two diametrically opposite pins 14 which are rotatably mounted in matching bores or bearings in the housing 1. This arrangement of the running ring 3ca makes it possible to pivot it about an axis which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pin 8 and which intersects the latter. This pivot axis lies in a plane of the race that passes through the center of the ball raceway.
The flow rate of the pump is regulated in this case by pivoting the running ring, the pivoting range being indicated in FIG. 3 by the angle b. The pivoting of the race results in a change in the size of the stroke of the spherical pistons.
In this embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, in addition to pivoting the race, there is a further possibility of regulating the delivery rate of the pump when the pin 8 is rotatable.
The embodiment of the pump according to FIG. 5 differs from the exemplary embodiments described in that a cylindrical running ring 3b with a circular ball raceway is provided, the axis of which is at a distance from the axis of rotation of the cylinder block 5.
The regulation of the delivery rate of the pump can only be done in such a way that the eccentricity of the race 3b is increased or decreased in relation to the axis of rotation of the cylinder block, or by the race 3b analogous to the race 3a in the embodiment according to Fig. 3 and 4 is rotated about an axis which lies in the plane of the sheet of FIG. 5, or by rotating the pin 8 about its own axis.
Instead of the cylindrical race 3b in the eccentric arrangement according to FIG. 5, a cylindrical race 3c according to the embodiment according to FIG. 6 with an eccentric bore with a circular ball raceway could be provided, which is in a guide groove of the housing analogous to the groove 2 in the embodiment according to Fig. 1 and 2 is inserted rotatably, so that a regulation of the delivery rate of the pump can be made within certain limits by rotating the race around the housing axis.
In the two embodiments described above, four evenly distributed over the circumference of the cylinder block 5 bores each with a cylindrical piston 13 with ball 11 are provided, of which two diametrically opposed pistons simultaneously move outwards and the others perform an inward movement. However, more than two pairs of bores with pistons can also be provided.
The ball raceway of the race in any of the exemplary embodiments described can also be designed such that each piston executes more than one or two inward and outward movements during one full revolution of the cylinder block and that the number of these outward and inward movements an eccentric adjustment of a circular ball track is changed. In the intended construction, the ball 11 lies in a recess in the outer end of the piston and is partially surrounded by the outer piston wall, as FIG. 7 in particular shows.
The piston 13 itself has a bore 15 opening into the inner pressure chamber of the bore 12, which means that when the ball rolls on the ball raceway of the raceway, a lubricating film can form which enables low-friction rolling. The seat of the ball in the outer end of the piston preferably also has a conical widening 16, as shown in FIG. 7, in order to promote the passage of lubricant to the ball.
The same result is also achieved if, instead of the axial piston bore 15, two or more bores arranged parallel to the piston axis or grooves machined into the surface of the piston are provided, which just let through only the amount of liquid required to form the lubricant film.
Instead of being operated as a pump, the machine can also be operated as a motor if the liquid is supplied to the inlet opening or openings under pressure, while the drainage takes place without pressure after the work has been performed.
It is also possible to assemble a liquid pump and a hydraulic motor to form a hydraulic transmission that is continuously adjustable within certain limits.
