Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Pour écarter ces    inconvénients,   on a bien pensé à utiliser un mécanisme vibreur supportant l'une des extrémités de la sole du    four,   dont l'autre    extrémité   prend librement appui sur le fond du moufle. De telles installations sont moins onéreuses,    mois   présentent d'autres    inconvénients,   à savoir - il est difficile de régler la pression d'appui de la sole dans le    four   et d'équilibrer l'appui entre les deux côtés de la sole, afin d'obtenir un avancement    régulier   des    pièces   ou de la matière à traiter ;

   - il est    nécessaire   de    déséquilibrer      justement   la sole pour provoquer un appui à son    extrémité,   ce    dont   il résulte un fluage de la sole à chaud ; - les    vibrations   transmises par la sole au four ont tendance à détériorer la    maçonnerie   de    celui-ci   ; - un réglage précis fait pour une sole    n'est   plus valable lorsque cette sole est    remplacée   par une autre, après usure de la    première,   ce qui    conduit   à    procéder   à un nouveau réglage;

 Vibrating hearth furnace In order for the material being treated in a furnace to move continuously, it is known practice to place inside the furnace a belt driven by a constant translational movement and at one end of which the material to be treated is discharged by a feed device often consisting of a vibrating table.

   Apart from a relatively high price due in particular to the need to have two motor mechanisms, one of which actuates a vibrator and the other of which drives the belt, such installations are not entirely satisfactory because the belt working at the same time. The inside of the furnace, therefore hot, wears out quickly despite the use of suitable materials, which are very expensive.

  To avoid these drawbacks, it has been well thought out to use a vibrating mechanism supporting one of the ends of the bottom of the furnace, the other end of which bears freely on the bottom of the muffle. Such installations are less expensive, but have other drawbacks, namely - it is difficult to adjust the support pressure of the hearth in the oven and to balance the support between the two sides of the hearth, in order to '' obtain regular advancement of the parts or the material to be treated;

   - It is necessary to unbalance the sole precisely to cause a support at its end, which results in a creep of the sole when hot; - the vibrations transmitted by the hearth to the furnace tend to deteriorate the masonry thereof; a precise adjustment made for a sole is no longer valid when this sole is replaced by another, after wear of the first, which leads to a new adjustment;

   - Finally, it is only possible to envisage a vibrating hearth, one of the ends of which bears on the furnace, only in the case of a relatively short hearth.

  The invention overcomes all the drawbacks of the two types of installations mentioned above. It relates to a vibrating hearth furnace, characterized in that its hearth. Is fixed, by one of its ends, to a vibrator located outside the furnace, while its other end is entirely free and carries it. false in the oven.

  The appended schematic drawing moreover represents, by way of non-limiting example, an embodiment of this vibrating hearth for an oven.

     In this drawing, 2 designates the masonry of the oven and 3 the hearth placed inside it. Cotte sole, which is both light and rigid and is very flat to be suitable for an atmosphere furnace, is made of refractory steel and is assembled by connecting flanges 4 to a plate 5 on which are placed the parts to be processed in the oven.

   This plate is connected, by an intermediate part 6, to a vibrating unit 7 suspended from a support 8 integral with the frame of the oven, by means of a rod 9 and a spring 10. By the connecting flanges - ment 4, the sole takes, not elsewhere, support, thanks to a spring 13, on a support 12 .solidaire to the frame of the oven.
