Terminal on a high-voltage transformer for a cable In ignition transformers, connection terminals for high-voltage cables leading to the ignition electrodes are known, which are designed as threaded bolts, preferably made of porcelain, through an insulating body. In such terminals, the connector of the high voltage cable, which z. B. is designed as a cable lug, clamped on the protruding from the insulating body part of the threaded bolt between two screws screwed on this.
Threadless bolts are also used as connection terminals for high-voltage cables to be connected to ignition transformers, which bolts are also arranged in an insulating body and have an end that protrudes from this. In such a case, the connecting high-voltage cable is provided with a throw-over plug that can be attached to the bolt of the connection terminal.
In the case of ignition transformers embedded in cast resin, it is also known to embed metal tubes electrically connected to the windings in the cast resin and to provide the high-voltage cable with a connector pin which can be inserted into the free end of the metal tube.
These known ignition transformer connection terminals have proven themselves well. However, it is disadvantageous that the high-voltage cable to be connected always has to be provided with a connector that matches the connection terminals that the ignition transformer to which the high-voltage cable is to be connected has. This means that the connection pieces that are already connected to the high-voltage cable often have to be replaced, which is time-consuming.
The invention relates to a connection terminal on a high-voltage transformer for a cable, in which the aforementioned disadvantage is avoided in that the connection terminal has a metal tube into which a thread is cut.
Three exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown schematically in the drawing. 1 shows a connection terminal in section, FIG. 2 shows a connection terminal in section according to FIG. 1 with an intermediate piece screwed into it, and FIG. 3 shows a connection terminal in section according to FIG. 1 with another intermediate piece screwed into it.
Fig. 1 shows a connection terminal, e.g. B. an ignition transformer, not shown, consisting of a metal tube 1 into which a thread 2 is cut. The metal tube 1 is embedded in an insulating compound 3 and its upper end 4 opens into a channel 5 which is conically shaped in the insulating compound 3. At the embedded lower end 6 of the metal tube 1, an electrical line 7 is connected, the z. B. is connected to one end of a high-voltage winding of an ignition transformer.
If the connection piece of the high-voltage cable is designed as a single-pole plug, it can be inserted directly through the channel 5 and the opening 4 of the metal tube 1. In this case, the thread 2 is not used directly, but it provides good contact and additional hold for the plug.
If the connection piece of the high-voltage cable is designed as a cable lug, which, as is known, has to be screwed onto the connection terminal, then, as FIG. 2 shows, an intermediate piece is screwed into the metal tube 1. This intermediate piece consists of a threaded bolt 8, which has a thread 9, and a nut 10 and a

Lock nut 11 together. The connecting piece of the high-voltage cable, which is designed as a cable lug, can then be clamped between the nuts 10, 11. The nut 10 advantageously has a shape and size corresponding to the channel 5, so that it can be completely or partially sunk into this.
In the same way, a corresponding intermediate piece is screwed into the metal tube 1 if the connection piece of the high-voltage cable is designed as a union plug. This intermediate piece shown in FIG. 3 consists of a bolt 12, the upper end 13 of which carries a sheath 15 which encloses a pin contact 14 and which is shown partially in section in FIG. The upper end of the bolt 12, which is designed accordingly, serves as the pin contact 14. The remaining part of the bolt 12 is provided with a thread 16 with which it can be screwed into the metal tube 1.
The particular advantage of the connection terminal for high-voltage cables described is that it allows the connection of high-voltage cables provided with any desired connection pieces without these connection pieces having to be exchanged for others. It goes without saying that the design of the intermediate piece is not tied to the shapes listed, for example, but can be adapted to any shape of a connection piece of a high-voltage cable.
