Fig. 7 zeigt einen solchen Fräser von vorn.
Milling-throwing device There are devices, in particular for clearing snow, are known, which consist of a horizontally-axled cutter arranged transversely to the feed direction and a centrifugal wheel behind it. The snow is detached from the bond using rotating tools of the milling cutter, the so-called milling knives, and released in a loose form to the blower wheel.
The main disadvantage of these so-called snails is that the snow has to be heavily compressed by transverse conveyance in order to be able to be forced through the relatively narrow opening of the blower wheel when the vehicle is advanced.
According to later findings, with the plastically compressible material snow, better efficiency can be achieved if the snow is picked up by the cutter, accelerated and thrown into the blower wheel in less than one full revolution of the cutter. This type of milling-throwing device was specially developed for snow clearers with relatively small working widths and has since proven itself very well in practice.
However, when this system is geometrically transferred to machines with larger working widths, there are certain disadvantages, which consist in the fact that the opening of the blower wheel is relatively small compared to the front surface of the cutter and the snow is guided through the cutter blades to the center of the cutter.
This results in disadvantages which, according to the present invention, should essentially be avoided in that the inlet opening to the centrifugal wheel is at least one third of the rectangular front surface of the milling body determined by the length and diameter of the milling body and that the outer milling cutters are axially Direction only extend over a fraction of half the length of the milling body, but ideally so far that they come up to the edge of the opening to the centrifugal wheel as they turn.
In the drawing, embodiments of the invention are shown partly schematically and partly constructively.
1 shows a known device in a front view, FIG. 2 shows a development of the device according to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a device according to the invention in a view from the front, FIG. 4 shows a development of the device according to FIG. Fig. 5 shows the arrangement of the blades on the Schleu derrad, in radial section, Fig. 6 shows the design of the blades according to Fig. 5,
7 to 9 different variants of milling cutters in a view from the front, FIGS. 10 and 11 milling cutters of different designs arranged one above the other, in a view from the front, FIG. 12 the device, provided with widening wings, compared to the handling of the outer milling cutters, from above .
When transferring the known system according to FIGS. 1 and 2 with relatively small working widths and low working speeds to large machines there is - as indicated at the beginning - the disadvantage that the centrifugal wheel opening 1 compared to the front surface of the represented by the rectangle 2, 5 The milling body rotating about the axis 3 is relatively small and the snow is guided through the milling knife 4 to the center of the blower wheel.
The associated energy losses are to be avoided by the invention, on the one hand, by enlarging the impeller opening 1 compared to the front surface (rectangle 2, 5) and, on the other hand, using the entire opening 1 as a passage cross-section, in that the outer cutter 4 is not up to In the middle, but only to the edge of the blower wheel opening 1.
Thanks to the apparently simple inventive idea set out here, it has become possible to significantly increase the efficiency of milling-centrifugal devices, mainly because a number of partial improvements can be achieved, the combination of which enables significantly better utilization of the for Available drive power.
These partial improvements, which relate both to the absorption of the snow from the association and to the flow within the device up to the ejection of the material, are briefly explained below with reference to the front view shown in FIG. 3 and the milling cutter development according to FIG. 4:
Firstly, the milling cutter rotating around the axis 3, which generates the transfer speed to the centrifugal wheel, can, thanks to the enlarged design and full utilization of the cross-sectional area of the centrifugal wheel or the lower accelerations that are necessary, move the material through this opening 1 without compression to convey, rotate relatively slowly, i.e. loosen large pieces of the association, which requires significantly less work than milling off thin chips.
Second, the cutting angle of the cutter, that is, the angle a (Fig. 4) between the rotational movement of the cutter body about the axis 3 and the attack edge of the cutter 4 can be kept smaller than in the known designs. Cutting the snow at a low cutting angle a requires less work than scraping and pressing, as is unavoidable with larger cutting angles.
Thirdly, when the snow glides on the cutting blades, thanks to the smaller angle of incline a, smaller friction forces have to be overcome than when the snow is guided at a larger angle of friction. This fact also has the effect of improving overall efficiency.
Fourthly, the snow is conveyed from the outside to the inside, i.e. the cross conveying path that the most unfavorably located snow particles have to cover in the direction of axis 3 of the cutter, i.e. from its outer ends to the entrance to the throwing wheel, and thus the extent of the deflection of all current paths smaller than in the known designs. Flow losses can thus be avoided or reduced to the smallest possible amount.
Fifth, there is a smaller Lei stungsaufnahme for the cutter, because the speed in the fully utilized, larger through opening 1 can be kept lower than with smaller centrifugal wheels and restriction of the snow inlet to the middle area. Since this speed has to be generated by the milling cutter, but is largely lost when the current paths are deflected in the centrifugal wheel or must be generated there by the centrifugal wheel in a plane perpendicular to the entry speed, this fact also has the effect of improving the efficiency out.
Sixth, flow losses can be avoided in the centrifugal wheel by arranging the blades 7 of the centrifugal wheel only on its circumference, between the inner edges of which an unbladed cavity remains free, in which the snow entering radially makes its way to the periphery or to the area there arranged blade ring can be freely selected due to the existing centrifugal forces and friction or plasticity conditions of the snow. The diameter 8 of the unbladed cavity should be at least as large as the radius 9 of the centrifugal wheel.
5 and 6 is also advantageous in Figs. 5 and 6 represents the shape of the blades 7a arranged on the circumference of the plane throwing wheel base 7a rotating on the axis 10 in the housing 10a. Since the snow also enters the Schleu axially in the outermost circular ring, shock losses must occur Detection of these pieces of snow by the shovels 7 are limited to a minimum, which happens because the inclination / 3 (Fig. 6) of the shovel surface against the throwing wheel base 7a at the greatest distance from the sem is less than 45, then with decreasing distance of the The blade area of the throwing wheel base 7a becomes larger,
in order to reach approximately in the central plane of the Schleu derrades 90 and decrease again towards the throwing wheel bottom 7a. In terms of construction, this shape is most easily achieved by using half-pipe pieces (FIG. 6), providing them with ribs 7b and screwing the hollow-shaped blade formed in this way onto the periphery of the throwing wheel base 7a.
The ejection of the snow from the blower wheel can be seen in FIG. 3 and takes place via the rotatable ejection nozzle 14, which is designed in the usual way.
In the case of large working widths 2, such as those found on motorways or airfields, and also to loosen very solid types of snow, it is useful to arrange further knives 4 on the axis 3 between the outer milling knives. Fig. 7 shows such a milling cutter from the front. The additional milling tools 11 here consist of simple disaggregation arms which cut the snow as the milling cutter body rotates and accelerate it against the blower wheel through frictional forces.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 8, the additional knives 12 consist of helically wound knife strips like the outer milling knives 4; they are arranged symmetrically to the center plane of the milling body.
In the example according to FIG. 9, the additional milling knives 13 are arranged in such a way that the snow lying in their working area is grasped from both sides, accelerated and thrown into the blower wheel.
At large working heights, it is useful to arrange several milling cutters on top of each other, as z. B. is shown in Fig. 10 for two milling cutters. Both milling cutters rotate from top to bottom when viewed from the snow side.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 11, the milling cutters arranged one above the other rotate in the opposite direction.
In preferred embodiments, the milling knives 4 and the additional knives 12, 13 consist of knife strips that are wound in the shape of a screw and connected to the milling axis 3 via spokes. However, the spoke and milling knife can also merge, so that the milling knife assumes a shovel-like shape.
The milling tools 4, 11, 12, 13 can expediently be connected to the axis 3 of the milling body by means of shear bolts or resilient intermediate members in order to avoid damage when foreign bodies are caught.
The milling tools 4, 11, 12, 13 can be arranged circumferentially in any number, offset from one another and partially also overlapping.
According to FIG. 12, widening wings 15 attached to both sides of the milling body are seen with which the clearing width 2 of the milling cutter can be extended to the width 16. The best flow is then obtained when the widening blades 15 feed the snow in the same direction as it is subsequently transported on by the outer milling knives 4.
This is the case when the angle y between the feed direction and the guide surface of the wing is approximately equal to the angle of inclination u of the outer milling cutter 4 in the development.
