Electrical switching device The invention relates to an electrical Schaltein direction with a plurality of switches arranged next to one another in a row, as are often used for the most varied of combined control functions, for example program controls. A typical example of such a Steuerein direction is described in Swiss Patent No. 365 592. There the individual switches are operated by individual control disks sitting on a common axis. The Actuate supply can of course also be done by any other organs, such as shift rods and the like.
In such switching devices, it is common to use commercially available microswitches, and one and the same device often hear numerous, for example up to fifty, such switches. It is desirable that the individual microswitches can be replaced if necessary, be it because of a change in the switching tasks or to remedy a defect.
If only a few microswitches are arranged in a row, the fastening can be carried out by means of rods which pass through the fastening holes provided in the switch housing of all the switches belonging to the row. Even with a few scarf terns, however, with this type of attachment, replacing a single switch is quite laborious, since the rods have to be detached from their support members and pulled out laterally, whereby all the switches belonging to the series are loose.
With a larger number of switches, however, this type of fastening is no longer applicable at all, as the fastening holes provided in the switch housing only have a small diameter, which is sufficient for the fastening screws of a single switch, but does not allow fastening rods that are sufficiently strong for a longer row of switches.
The main purpose of the present invention is to design the mounting of the individual switches in such a way that they can be replaced more easily. The characteristic of the switching device according to the invention is that a separate, fixedly arranged holding member is provided for each switch, in which the switch is individually removable.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 is a partial perspective view of the switching device having a series of switches; Fig. 2 is a plan view and Fig.3 is a section through a single holding organ with an inserted switch.
The switching device according to FIG. 1 has a base plate 1 with two side walls 2, only one of which is shown. A number of microswitches 4 are provided which are actuated by control disks 10 seated on a common axis 11. The drive of the axle 11 or the control disks is not essential in this context and is therefore not shown. The row of switches arranged next to one another and the associated control disks can continue as required to the left in FIG. 1. It can also be provided on the opposite side of the control discs, a second, parallel row of scarf tern.
A separate holding member 6 is now provided for each switch 4, in which the switch is inserted so that it can be removed individually, as will proceed from the following description of FIGS. 2 and 3. The holding elements are arranged in a row on two support rods or tubes 8, lying next to one another, which run in the direction of the row of switches and are inserted into the side walls 2. The width of the holding members 6 corresponds, of course, to the axial distance of the control disks 10 or the switch 4. Between the side walls 2 and the first holding member 6, spacer sleeves 12 of suitable length are fitted onto the rods or tubes 8 if necessary.
The shape of the holding members 6 and the switch 4 can be seen from FIGS. The holding organ preferably consists of an injection-molded part made of a zinc alloy and is of course adapted to the outer shape of the switch housing, which is usually designed as a plastic molded part. The holding member 6 has two bores 14 for the support rods or tubes 8 and a stop 15 which, in cooperation with the other contact surfaces between the holding member and the switch housing, determines the position of the switch. In Fig. 3, the outlines of the switch housing are shown in dash-dotted lines for the sake of clarity.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the switch 4 can be pivoted in and out of the holding member in the direction of the arrow across the row of switches. The switch used is held by a ver slidable locking member 16 in a recess 17, which is under the action of a compression spring 18 (the parts 16 and 18 are not shown in Fig. 3).
The associated control disk 10 acts via the roller 25 on the lever 24 articulated on the switch housing, which in turn actuates the switch via the plunger 26. On the side facing away from the control disc, the switch terminals 5 protrude from the housing, which are connected by means of a soldered or plug connection. The bores 22 on the switch housing are also visible in FIG. 2, which normally serve to screw the switch in place in other uses.
As can be seen from the above description, each switch can be individually removed from its holding organ quickly and easily. The switches can easily be exchanged for another type or replaced in the event of a defect. The arrangement also simplifies the assembly of the entire control device.
The holding members 6 can also be used individually at other locations where easy and quick replacement of the switches is desired. For this purpose, a countersunk bore 20 is provided which enables the individual holding member to be fastened by means of a screw.
