Le mode d'emploi du dispositif de lancement décrit est le suivant: à l'aide d'une clé carrée 14 livrée avec le dispositif, on fait tourner le tube 13 dans le sens contraire à celui des aiguilles d'une montre (fig. 1) ;
Device for throwing a ball, in particular a football The present invention relates to a device for throwing a ball, in particular a football. This device is characterized by a base, by two pillars rising above this base, by a hammer intended to strike the ball placed on or above this base in line with the pillars,
this hammer being integral with a first tube, the ends of which are pivoted on a second tube integral with said pillars by means of resilient elements, by means for rotating the first tube against the resistance offered by the elastic organs,
by means for immobilizing this tube in the position thus reached and by means for triggering this tube so that the hammer strikes the ball.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a side elevational view thereof. Fig. 2, a plan view.
Fig. 3, a rear elevational view, turned 901, with respect to that of FIG. 1, and fig. 4, a view showing how the device can be mounted on legs.
The device shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 comprises a launching plate 1 which rests on a base 2 provided with removable weights 8 for its anchoring in the ground; the plate 1 is connected at its rear end by a hinge 3 to the base 2, so that its inclination can be adjusted and, thereby, the trajectory of the ball 12 placed on the plate 1 to be launched.
The two elements 6 and 7 of the hinge are fixed one to the base and the other to the plate by screws or rivets and having a rear extension. On one of these extensions is fixed one of the ends of a threaded rod 4 which passes through a slot in the other extension and receives a nut 5. By screwing the nut 5 more or less on the rod 4, to Starting from the position it occupies in the drawing, we tilt more or less the launching plate 1.
The base carries two pillars 9, arranged on either side of the launch plate. These two pillars carry, at the height corresponding to the center of the ball, each a horizontal arm 21 extending forward, parallel to the axis of the plate 1. The plate 1 carries a wedge 22 fixed to the using a square and a wing nut screwed onto a threaded stud attached to the plate 1.
This wedge 22 and the arms 21 determine the location of the ball 12 on the plate 1 and hold it in place before launching.
The launch of e the ball is obtained using a hammer 10. This hammer 10, having a head in the form of a mushroom and an arm in the form of an inverted question mark, is fixed by the free end of its arm to a square section tube 13 placed between the two pillars 9.
This horizontal tube 13 is mounted, by means of studs or rubber pads 16, on a square tube 15 passing through the tube 13 and fixed to the top of the pillars 9. The buffers 16 are wedged between the faces of the tube 15 and the tube angles 13.
The articulation between the tube 15 and the tube 13 is known; this is the Neidhart elastic joint system.
The buffers 16 could be replaced by two coil springs working in torsion, one end of which would be integral with one of the pillars and the other end would be integral with the tube 13. These springs would be threaded onto the tube 15 with a slight play, which would allow them to contract when they are put into temian.
The tube 13 and the tube 15, instead of being square as in the previous construction, could be cylindrical. In either case,
the coil springs each act as a socket which centers the two tubes one inside the other and allows the outer tube to rotate on the inner tube. When the tube 13 is cylindrical, it is provided with a square or hexagonal collar for its actuation using a key.
On the tube 13 is wedged a toothed disc forming part of a latching device 11 of which the pawl cooperating with the toothing of the disc is slidably mounted on one of the pillars 9. 17 is a supporting arm of the pawl and allowing this pawl to be released from the disc.
The instructions for using the described launching device are as follows: using a square key 14 supplied with the device, the tube 13 is rotated counterclockwise (fig. 1);
the head of the hammer is thus removed, which in the rest position (fig. 1) is tangent to the ball placed on the plate 1 between the arms 21 and against the wedge 22, elastically deforming the rubber buffers 16 of the joints of the tube 13 carrying the hammer. The snap 11 prevents the hammer from falling.
To throw the ball 12, the key 14 is removed and the arm 17 is pressed, which releases the tube 13 which returns to its original position, bringing with it the hammer, the head of which strikes the ball with force. To adjust the force of the blow given to the bullet, the tube 13 is made to perform a greater or lesser angular displacement. If we want to raise the trajectory of the bullet, we tighten the nut 5, which raises the plate 1 at its front end.
Fig. 4 shows how the launching device can be placed at a certain height, adjustable, above the ground. The feet 8 are unscrewed and telescopic legs 18/19 are screwed in their place, the free end of which is planted in the ground.
A spring stop 20 immobilizes the two sections constituting each leg with respect to each other, in one or the other of several positions determined by notches provided in the section 18.
In a simpler embodiment, the plate 1 could be missing, the ball being placed on the base 2.
