Volumetric dosing machine with automatic weight correction
The invention relates to a volumetrically operating metering machine in which the measuring chambers are automatically adjusted by means of a control measuring device according to the changing bulk weight of the bulk material entering the machine.
For this purpose, it is known to switch one or more scales between the rotating measuring chambers and the packs to be filled, which then adjust the measuring chambers depending on the weight determined in each case via appropriate control elements. This arrangement has the disadvantage that relatively large dumping heights with the resulting reduction in performance and dust development arise, and that the adjustment of the measuring chambers also lags, since the weight-based measurement and evaluation only takes place a certain time after the dosing.
It has therefore already been proposed to arrange the control measuring device in front of the measuring chambers in such a way that bulk material samples are taken at regular time intervals by means of a further volumetric measuring device from the feed channel leading to the measuring chambers and are weighed using a scale, the latter in turn controlling the adjustment of the measuring chambers .
Even in this way, however, no completely satisfactory results could be achieved, since the bulk weight, which is known to be very dependent on the compression and the air content of the bulk material, usually shows different values at the point where the control measuring device is located than later in the distributor plate , which supplies the actual measuring chambers with the bulk material. In addition, studies have shown that segregation zones arise in the feed channel with many bulk materials with regard to the grain size, so that when taking a sample there is a risk that the measured values do not correspond to the actual values, i.e. the values that the bulk material has again well mixed in the distribution plate .
The invention aims to remedy the previous shortcomings and to design and arrange the device used for weight correction so that the bulk material measured and weighed by it corresponds exactly to the bulk material that enters the measuring container immediately after these control measurements.
For this purpose, the invention consists in the fact that the control measuring device, which consists of an adjustable control measuring chamber and an associated control pulse-emitting scale, is arranged directly on the circumference of the distributor supplying the measuring chambers and connected in parallel to it and is provided with a conveyor device that removes the bulk material from the Removes the distributor plate and fills it into the control measuring chamber.
In order to create similar conditions with regard to filling into the control measuring chamber, the conveying device to the control measuring chamber can consist of circumferential, star-shaped liner plates which push the bulk material removed from the distributor plate into the control measuring chamber in the same way as the insert plates arranged in the distributor plate.
The control measuring device designed and arranged in the manner described above results in a timely and precisely operating control of the adjusting device of the measuring chambers according to the respective bulk weight of the bulk material entering them, without any reduction in performance of the machine.
The object of the invention is shown schematically in one embodiment in the drawings. Show it:
1 shows a sectional side view of a metering machine with an attached control measuring device and
FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the machine according to FIG. 1.
The embodiment shows a machine designed as a plate metering machine of a known type with several circumferential measuring chambers 1, which are set up centrally adjustable and are filled from a common distributor plate, which in turn receives the filling material from a feed pipe 3 and is fed into the Strips in openings of the measuring chambers.
Connected in parallel to the distributor plate 2, a control measuring device is built on its circumference, which consists of a control measuring chamber 16 and a scale 17 assigned to it. The control measuring chamber 16 receives the bulk material to be measured directly from a distributor plate 2. For this purpose, several horizontally circumferential, wing-like and star-shaped A scraper plates 5 are provided, the circuit of which extends over the distributor plate 2 and covers the opening of the control measuring chamber 16.
The skiving plates 5 rotating in a housing 15 are driven by the main shaft 9 of the metering machine via a chain drive 10, possibly also via a continuously variable transmission, a horizontal shaft 11, a bevel gear 12, 13 and a vertical shaft 14 on which the skiving plates 5 are arranged axially displaceable. As they circulate, the streak plates 5 convey bulk material out of the distributor plate 2 and bring this to the control measuring chamber 16, which is arranged on the bottom of the circular housing 15.
After each one rotation of the inserts 5, the control measuring chamber 16 is emptied into the weighing pan 18 of a balance 17 to determine the actual weight of the measured amount. To ensure that no further filling material is conveyed into the control measuring chamber 16 during this time, an arcuate cover plate 19 is attached to the peripheral part of two somewhat more distant liner plates 5, which prevents filling material from being removed from the distributor plate 2 in this area. The control measuring chamber 16 is emptied by pivoting a bottom flap 20 which is controlled via a linkage 21 by a cam plate 22 fastened on the horizontal shaft 11.
If the measured product quantity is over or underweight, a corresponding positive or negative electrical pulse is passed on from a known type differential transformer 25 connected to the balance to a control unit 26, which adjusts the measuring chambers 1 via an adjusting motor 34 . This adjusting motor 34 sits on the frame 33 of the metering machine; Via bevel gears 35, 36 it drives a spindle 37 which carries the cover part 31 of the distributor plate 2 and also the distributor plate 2 via a nut thread. Depending on the clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of the adjusting motor 34, the distributor plate 2 and cover part 31 rise or fall, the metering spaces of the telescopic measuring chambers 1 being enlarged or reduced.
With this metering volume adjustment of the measuring chambers 1, the volume of the control measuring chamber 16, which is also telescopically displaceable, is adjusted accordingly.
The control measuring chamber 16 has the same size as the measuring chamber 1. The upper part 16a of the control measuring chamber 16 is attached to the housing 15, which in turn is firmly connected to the cover part 31. The lower part 16b is arranged on a stationary plate in which the drive shaft 14 of the liner plates 5 is also mounted.
The evaluation of the weighing results of the control measuring device 4 can be carried out by means of the control device 26 in two different ways; firstly because each check weighing is used to correct the dosing volume, and secondly because an adjustment is only made when a tendency towards overweight or underweight is determined.
For the first type of evaluation, a timing relay and a reversing contactor are required for the control unit, the timing relay switching on the adjusting motor during a specific period of time corresponding to a constant weight value or during a period of time corresponding to the incorrect weight.
For the second type of evaluation, an electrical or electromechanical summing device of a known type is also switched on, which sums the negative and positive weighing pulses corresponding to the under or overweight and, when a certain selectable sum of positive or negative pulses is reached, a correction adjustment of the Dosing volume initiates.
After leaving the weighing pan 18, the product quantities weighed by the control measuring device 4 are conveyed back to the distributor plate 2 by means of a conveyor device 28 of a known type or a screw conveyor or a chain of cups.
So that the filling material removed from the distribution plate 2 by the filler plates 5 when the control measuring vessel is full is no longer conveyed by the filler plates 5 in a circle, an opening 27 is provided in the bottom of the housing 15 behind the control measuring chamber 16 in the running direction of the filler plates. The excess filling material falls through this opening 27 and is likewise returned to the distributor plate 2 by the conveyor device 28. In order to be able to observe from the location of the operator the promotion of filling material through the A streifbleche 5, an opening 29 and above an inclined mirror 30 is provided in the top of the housing 15.
The flow rate to the control measuring device can be regulated by pivoting a guide plate 32.
The subject matter of the invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiment described, but can also be configured in a similar manner.
For example, instead of just one control measuring chamber 16, it would be possible to arrange several such chambers in the area of the encircling inserts 5 and to provide each with a scale. In this way it would be possible to have a more frequent series of measurements should this ever be necessary.
