Device to facilitate the removal of bulk goods, on shaft-like storage containers and method for operating the device
Silo-like storage containers or cells for bulk goods have a removal opening at the lower end and above that a shaft outlet or cone that is tapered up to this opening. It is known that the bulk material often tends, depending on its nature, especially in this discharge cone under the weight pressure of the bulk material above it, to form leakage-inhibiting bridges, which can bring the discharge movement of the bulk material to a complete standstill. Such bulk bridges can only be brought to collapse by intervention.
Efforts are therefore made to prevent this bridging or to eliminate it in its stage of development, for which various means have been used so far, such as. B. wall vibrators, agitators, chain clearers, etc. These known devices are usually not effective over the entire area in which the bulk material tends to bridge. With the wall vibrator, the energy expenditure is very high and there is also the risk of fatigue fractures in the cell walls.
The present invention seeks to avoid these disadvantages and relates to a device for facilitating the removal of bulk material from shaft-like storage containers with a shaft tapering towards the base removal opening. According to the invention, at least one relief body is arranged in the storage container above the removal opening, the base area of which is approximately the same size as the removal opening.
The invention also relates to a method for operating the device, which consists in vibrating the relief body when the bulk material is removed.
The inventions are then explained in more detail on the basis of several exemplary embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings.
1 shows, in a schematic vertical section, the lower end of a storage cell with an outlet cone and a device for removing bulk material, making it easy to round;
2 and 3 each show a relief body with a vibrator in elevation
4 is a top plan view of an armed relief body, and
FIGS. 5 and 6 each show a storage cell in vertical section with a relief body suspended therein.
The shaft-like storage cell 1 is provided at the lower end with a removal opening 2 and above it has a shaft outlet or cone 3 that is tapered up to this opening 2 Relief body 5, z. B. in the form of a cone, the bottom 6 of which has approximately the shape and size of the removal opening 2. The upper part of the cone with the tip 7 can, as the drawing shows, protrude from the actual shaft tapering space 4 into the rest of the shaft space, but this is not an absolute requirement.
The relief body described prevents, thanks to its shape and the aforementioned pressure relief of the opening, the formation of bridges easily in the case of relatively good flowing bulk material, e.g. B. of coarse-grained nature. For poorly leaking types of bulk goods, an electrically driven vibrator 8 according to FIG. 2 in a standing arrangement according to FIG . As a result, the relief body does not in turn contribute to the bridging of the bulk material, but prevents it thanks to the intense vibration.
For bulk goods that tend to form bridges when stored in cells, such as B. flour, the relief body 5 has arms 9 protruding from the lateral surface of a conical central part, which arms can have a roof-shaped apex 10 according to FIGS. 4-6. These arms 9 allow vibrations of the relief body to act on the bulk material on a considerably larger surface.
The relief body 5 described is usually suspended from the wall of the cell 1, for. B. according to FIG. 5 by means of helical springs 11, which absorb the vibrations, or according to FIG. 6 by means of rope strands 12, weIche z. B. attack on the arms 10 and extend into the uppermost part of the cell and in turn transmit the vibration to the bulk material. The cable strands 12 can have cross connections (not shown) to increase the transmission of vibrations and can be suspended from the cell cover instead of the cell wall.
The arms could also be formed by bars or downwardly directed rakes. More than one relief body could be arranged in the cell.
The drive generating the vibration can function continuously or only intermittently for the bulk material in question, depending on requirements. The purpose of the vibration is always to loosen up the bulk material, although the different outflow velocities for different types of bulk material must be taken into account, since loosening is only possible to the extent that volume is released by the discharge of bulk material in the area of the relief body. In the case of intermittent vibration operation, not only the bulk material and its flow properties, but also the vibration characteristics and the cell shape and size are decisive for its duration and interruption during the discharge process.
