Fig. 1 die Ansicht einer Druckgussmaschine,
Fig. 3 einen Schnitt nach Linie A-A der Fig. 2 und
Fig. 4 eine Ansicht in Richtung des Pfeiles B in Fig. 2.
Device for monitoring those occurring in rod-shaped components
Loads, especially on die casting machines
In mechanical engineering it happens very often that rod-shaped components have to be subjected to certain pre-stresses due to tensile forces, the control of which would be very desirable at any time. On the other hand, it is often necessary to monitor such rod-shaped components during operation with regard to the operational loads of a mechanical or thermomechanical type that occur in them. It is often desirable to limit these loads in order to take into account safety requirements or to meet other requirements for the proper functioning of the machine.
This applies in particular to the guide pillars on die casting machines, which are subjected to very high loads during operation. There are a number of requirements for these machines that make it necessary to monitor the stresses in the columns.
In order to guarantee a perfect work flow on die casting machines, it is absolutely necessary to create an absolutely exact parallelism of the mold carrier plates by adjusting the machine. This is only fully guaranteed if the geometrical parallelism of these plates also results in an equally large load on the individual columns under closing pressure. The deviation in parallelism must not exceed certain required limits and must be monitored.
These requirements are met with the aid of the invention essentially in that the rod-shaped component has a bore running in the direction of its longitudinal axis, in which a measuring stick attached to its end is arranged, and that a dial gauge is attached at the beginning of the bore, the probe of which is on a measuring surface at the free end of the dipstick acts.
It is also expedient that the pointer of this dial gauge or the measuring surface of the dipstick is designed to act on switching means which indicate this and / or switch off the machine when a limit load is reached.
With the device according to the invention, for example in die casting machines, there is the advantage that uneven loads occurring in the guide columns, which are caused by non-parallel position of the molds, faulty or eccentric clamping of the tools caused by the injection mold, do not exceed certain maximum limits. In addition, an unevenly distributed bearing play that occurs over time as a result of uneven loading and which can lead to overstressing of the columns is recognized in good time. Furthermore, the invention can monitor a loosening of one or more lock nuts that occurs as a result of a jerky work sequence in die casting machines for high numbers of shots, which also leads to overloading of the associated guide columns.
Finally, with this device it is also possible to control certain minimum closing pressures, which must not be fallen below during the production of some injection-molded parts. All of these monitoring and control functions can automatically influence the operation of the machine.
In the following, an embodiment of the device according to the invention is described in application to a die casting machine with reference to drawings. Show it:
1 is a view of a die casting machine,
FIG. 2 shows the embodiment according to the invention of the guide columns on the die casting machine according to FIG. 1 in section,
3 shows a section along line A-A of FIGS. 2 and
FIG. 4 shows a view in the direction of arrow B in FIG. 2.
A stationary mold carrier plate 1 of a die-casting machine (FIG. 1) is connected to an adjustable front plate 6 by four columns 2, 3. In this case, only two columns 2, 3 are visible in FIG. 1. The remaining two columns are arranged in the same way on the rear of the machine. A movable mold carrier plate 7, which is moved by a hydraulically operated toggle lever system 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, is guided on the columns 2, 3 and applies the closing pressure required for casting to the molds 14, which are attached to the mold carrier plates 1, 7. 15 exercises. Locking nuts 16, 17 screwed onto the threads of the columns serve to mutually support the front plate 6 and the mold carrier plate 1 during operation of the machine. The columns 2, 3 are subjected to tensile stress via these locking nuts.
Each of the guide columns 2, 3 has a central bore 20 at one end (FIG. 2). At the bottom of this bore 20, a thread 21 is cut into the column, into which a measuring rod 22 of a certain length (measuring length 1) is screwed. On the side opposite the thread 21, this rod 22 carries a neatly machined measuring surface 23, against which a feeler 24 of a dial gauge 25 is placed. To hold and guide the measuring stick 22, one or more guide rings 26, 27 are inserted into the central bore 20.
The dial gauge 25 is held in place in a disk-shaped dial gauge holder 28 (FIGS. 2, 3) by a clamping effect. The outer circumferential surface of the dial gauge holder 28 is provided with a thread 29. As can be seen in FIG. 3, the dial gauge holder 28 is cut out in the shape of a section of a circle, on the one hand it is slotted, creating an elastically tensionable tongue 30 which is tensioned by means of the screw 31, whereby the dial gauge 25 is clamped in the dial gauge holder 28. The dial gauge 25 is provided with a load scale 32 (FIG. 4) calibrated in tons, from which the magnitude of the tensile forces prevailing in the columns 2, 3 can be read.
The dial gauge holder 28 with the dial gauge 25 is screwed into a blind hole-shaped bore 33 which is provided with a thread 34 until the zero display on the load scale 32 is reached.
In this position, the tip of the probe touches the measuring surface 23 of the measuring rod 22. To prevent the dial indicator holder 28 from loosening during operation of the machine, the screw connection of the dial indicator holder is set by the screws 35, which are supported against the base of the blind hole 33 -Tensioned blind hole.
The dial gauge 25 is observed through a cover glass 36 (FIG. 2), which is held in place on the columns 2, 3 by a retaining ring 37 and screws 38.
The basis of the operation of the device is the implementation of a strain measurement of the measuring length 1 on the columns 2, 3, the results of which can be converted into the load on the columns 2, 3 with the help of Hooke's law. The forces can be read directly from the load scale 32 of the dial indicator 25 of each column 2, 3.
When the columns 2, 3 are subjected to tensile stress in the direction of arrow K in FIG. 2, the column cross-section, which corresponds to the plane through the base 39 of the central bore 40, experiences a shift. The measuring rod 22 as a whole follows this shift as a result of the firm connection to the column at the right end of the measuring length l and as a result of the free mobility in the guide rings 26, 27. The column cross-section, which corresponds to the position of the measuring surface plane 23 of the measuring rod 22, experiences a displacement of the same size as the right-hand measuring length end, but also a displacement due to the expansion of the measuring length 1 on the column. The dial gauge 25 is also involved in this shift.
The resulting difference in the displacement paths of the base surface 39 and the measuring surface 23 corresponds to the dial gauge display.
The graduation marks of the load scale 32 corresponding to the permissible maximum and minimum all branches and other special loads, such as nominal load, etc., can be marked in any way in order to emphasize them. A drag pointer on the dial indicators can indicate the loads or overloads reached.
In order to take even greater account of the need for safety against overloads, the device for controlling a machine shutdown device can be used in such a way that either the measuring rod 22 itself or the dial indicator pointer when a certain adjustable limit load is reached in one or in all columns via suitable optical , electrical or electronic switching means stops the machine and / or actuates a display means such as a glow lamp or buzzer.
Since a non-parallelism of the mold carrier plates 1, 7 or the molds 14, 15 caused by any cause is also expressed in an overload of individual columns, such an automatically controlling force measuring device can also be used to monitor the parallelism of the mold carrier plates or molds. The parallelism deviations can thereby be kept within certain permissible limits, and if these are exceeded, the machine switches itself off.
Finally, it should be pointed out that the invention is not limited to the control and monitoring of tensile loads, but that pressure loads in rod-shaped components can also be monitored and controlled in the same manner as described.
