Parachute On connaît les avantages, notamment de stabi lité, apportés par l'utilisation de parachutes compor tant plusieurs panneaux pleins séparés les uns des autres par des intervalles et présentant, de ce fait, un bord d'attaque interrompu.
Cependant, lorsque les intervalles séparant deux panneaux pleins s'étendent à partir du bord d'atta que de la voilure vers son sommet sur une longueur nettement supérieure à leur largeur, de l'ordre de deux fois celle-ci par exemple, des irrégularités d'ou vertures peuvent se produire si la voilure n'est pas maintenue allongée pendant la première phase de l'ouverture.
La présente invention a pour but de remédier à ces inconvénients. Elle a pour objet un parachute avec bord d'attaque interrompu, caractérisé par ce qu'il comporte, au sommet de la voilure, des godets servant à maintenir la voilure allongée pendant la première phase de son ouverture.
Une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention est représentée, à titre d'exemple, sur les figures ci- jointes dans lesquelles La fig. 1 représente un parachute, en forme de croix, vu en plan, et la fig. 2 représente ce parachute à l'instant pré cédant son ouverture.
Sur les figures, le parachute représenté est prin cipalement constitué de quatre panneaux de tissu 1 séparés les uns des autres par des intervalles 2 ménageant dans la voilure de très grandes ouver tures. On peut former ces quatre panneaux 1 en constituant la voilure par deux bandes de tissu assem blées de façon à former une croix et se superposant ou non dans la région du sommet de la voilure. Aux extrémités 3 des panneaux de tissu 1, consti tuant le bord d'attaque du parachute, sont fixées les suspentes 4 qui peuvent comprendre pour chaque panneau 1 deux suspentes fixées aux extrémités de son bord d'attaque et éventuellement des suspentes supplémentaires intermédiaires.
Ces suspentes peu vent se prolonger sur la voilure par des rubans de renforcement ; les rubans prolongeant les suspentes extrêmes fixées à chaque branche de la croix ren forcent les lisières des bandes de tissu constituant la voilure quand celle-ci se compose de deux bandes croisées comme on l'a expliqué.
Au sommet de la voilure, percé ou non d'une ouverture constituant cheminée, un carré de tissu 5, découpé en carré en son centre, comme indiqué en 8, a été cousu suivant ses deux diagonales 6, ce qui le partage en quatre petits compartiments 7 qui, lorsqu'ils se gonflent, présentent la forme de petits godets. Leur but est, comme on le voit à la fig. 2, d'assurer le maintien de la voilure, pendant la pre mière phase de l'ouverture du parachute, indépen damment de toute action de parachute extracteur.

In the figures, the parachute shown is mainly made up of four fabric panels 1 separated from each other by intervals 2 leaving very large openings in the airfoil. These four panels 1 can be formed by constituting the airfoil by two strips of fabric assembled so as to form a cross and being superimposed or not in the region of the top of the airfoil. At the ends 3 of the fabric panels 1, constituting the leading edge of the parachute, are fixed the hangers 4 which may include for each panel 1 two hangers fixed at the ends of its leading edge and possibly additional intermediate hangers.
These lines can be extended on the canopy by reinforcing tapes; the ribbons extending the end lines fixed to each branch of the cross reinforce the edges of the strips of fabric constituting the wing when the latter consists of two crossed strips as has been explained.
At the top of the canopy, pierced or not with an opening constituting a chimney, a square of fabric 5, cut into a square in its center, as indicated at 8, was sewn along its two diagonals 6, which divides it into four small compartments 7 which, when inflated, have the shape of small cups. Their purpose is, as can be seen in fig. 2, to ensure the maintenance of the canopy, during the first phase of the opening of the parachute, independently of any action of the extractor parachute.
