Abstract

The present invention relates to a flat-folding coat hanger (1) for hanging clothes. It is made of a sheet material cut from a blank to give flaps and tabs which combine with scorelines to allow the hanger (1) to be folded into its functional configuration; the blank is made so as to form two hanger halves (2, 3) which fold together at the top, which acts as a hanging hook (4), and at the bottom, which acts as a hinge (5). Description

 The present invention relates to a foldable hanger flat for hanging clothes.

 Many documents propose such hangers.

 Document FR-A-2,058,824 relates to a compact, compact folding hanger which is characterized in that it comprises a base formed by a plate having, at one of its ends, at least one hook enabling the hanger to be suspended to a support, two arms articulated around an axis fixed to said base, which can partially fit one into the other near this axis, so as to be located in the same transverse plane and able to be folded back one against the other, and two stops carried by the base and respectively limiting the pivoting movement of the two arms so that they are maintained in an unfolded position in V when using the hanger.

 Document FR-A-1,561,454 relates to a one-piece plastic hanger characterized in that it comprises a median square element whose horizontal part is integral with the suspension hook of said hanger and two symmetrical lateral elements, of thickness and of sufficient length to ensure the correct maintenance of the upper internal part of a male or female garment, and joined to said median element by two thinned parts placed in the vicinity of the upper face of said horizontal part of the median element, and other of the latter, and capable of bending from a deployed position of said hanger to a folded up position; and that the edges of the vertical upper parts of said lateral elements and of said median element are provided with tabs and latching grooves forming stops.

 These documents have storage positions which reduce their volume, without however leading to the result of the present invention.

 To this end, the foldable hanger is characterized in that it is made of a sheet material, the cutting of which, from a blank, forms tabs and flaps which cooperate with grooves to allow volume to be created. of the hanger in functional configuration.

 The blank is produced so as to form two half-hangers which fold back towards each other by their apex which acts as a fixing hook and by their base which acts as a hinge for articulation.

 Said blank is produced in two symmetrical parts, the axis of symmetry of which is formed by the hinge.

 This blank comprises, between the two symmetrical parts which form the two half-hangers, a rectangular tongue which forms the base of the hanger, ensures a thickness of the hanger set in volume so that it does not mark the hanging garment on the shoulders, and makes hanger stiffener office.

 One of the symmetrical parts, cut out from the blank, is formed by a trapezoid, the two bases of which are grooved, the smallest with a tab forming the hook and the largest with the base of said hanger formed by the rectangular tongue.

 A wing of the trapezium has at least one locking tab in the flattening configuration.

 At least one blocking tab is provided at the small base of the trapezoid of each half-hanger to block the hanger in functional configuration.

 At least one hook-shaped tab is provided with a bonding flap for fixing to the other hook-shaped tab when the two half-hangers are folded towards one another.

 The attached drawings are given as indicative and non-limiting examples. They represent a preferred embodiment according to the invention. They will allow the invention to be easily understood.

 Figure 1 shows a top view of a blank cut to form a hanger.

 Figure 2 shows a perspective view of a hanger in the use position.

 FIG. 3 represents a perspective view of the hanger during folding in order to put it in the flattening configuration.

 Finally, Figure 4 shows a perspective view of the hanger in flat lay configuration.

 The foldable hanger 1 is formed by a sheet material, the cutting of which is done from a blank formed by tabs and flaps which cooperate with grooves which allow the volume of the hanger 1 to be in functional configuration.

 There is therefore the possibility of having two different configurations for the same hanger 1 either a volume setting position for hanging clothes on said hanger 1, or a flat lay configuration allowing storage of the hanger 1 whose volume will be minimum .

 The blank as shown in FIG. 1 is produced so as to form two half-hangers 2 and 3 which can be folded towards each other thanks to their common base which acts as an articulation hinge 5.

 Each half-hanger 2 or 3 is formed by a trapezoid 7 or 8 which is surmounted by a lug 12 or 13 forming a hook 4.

 On this articulation hinge 5, the half-hangers 2 and 3 will come together, which allows them to bring the two vertices which act as hook 4 into contact.

 The hanger 1 is therefore produced in two symmetrical parts along an X-Y axis formed by the hinge.

 The blank comprises, at the hinge 5, that is to say between the two symmetrical parts which form the two half-hangers 2 and 3, a rectangular tongue 6 which forms the base of the hanger 1 once set in volume; this tongue 6 is separated from the two half-hangers 2 and 3 by two grooves 15 and 16 forming the large base of the trapezoids 7 and 8.

 This tongue 6 acts as a stiffener for the hanger 1.

 The rectangular tongue 6 makes it possible to increase the thickness of the hanger 1.

 This thickening will allow hanging garments not to be marked on the shoulders.

 Each symmetrical part cutting the blank and each forming a half-hanger 2 or 3 is formed by a trapezoid 7 or 8 whose two small bases each have a groove 17 or 18 separating the trapezium 7 or 8 from the tab 12 or 13 sui overcomes it.

 The groove 17 or 18 of the small base therefore allows the junction of the trapezoid 7 or 8 with the tab 12 or 13 forming a part of the hook 4 and the groove 15 or 16 of the large base serves as an interface between said trapezium 7 or 8 and the rectangular tongue 6 used for setting the volume of the hanger 1.

 Each trapezoid 7 or 8 has two wings 19a and 20a or 19b and 20b.

 One of the wings 20a and 20b of each trapezoid 7 or 8 has at least one locking tab 9 allowing the flat configuration of the hanger 1 to be maintained once folded.

 The folding at the level of the wings 19a, 19b, 20a, 20b takes place along the grooves 21 and 22 of the said wings 19a, 19b, 20a and 20b.

 In the same way, there is at least one blocking tab 10 or 11 present at the level of the small base of the trapezoid 7 or 8 of each half-hanger 2 or 3.

 This allows the hanger 1 to be blocked in a functional configuration suitable for receiving a garment for hanging.

 The hook 4 is formed by two tabs 12 and 13 which are brought together during assembly of the hanger 1.

 This approximation is due to the hinge 5.

 The two legs 12 and 13 are held in position against each other by means of a bonding flap 14 which ensures the fixing of the two legs relative to one another.

 The bonding flap 14 has a groove 23 separating it from the tab 12 which supports it.

Claims (8)

 1. Hanger (1) foldable flat, for hanging clothes characterized by the fact  that it is made of a sheet material, the cutting of which, from a blank, forms tabs and flaps which cooperate with grooves to allow the hanger (1) to be put into volume in functional configuration.  2. Hanger according to claim 1 characterized in that  that the blank is made so as to form two half-hangers (2, 3) which fold back towards each other by their top which acts as a hook (4) for fixing and by their base which acts as a hinge articulation (5).  3. Hanger according to claim 2 characterized in that  that the blank is produced in two symmetrical parts whose axis of symmetry (X-Y) is formed by the hinge (5).  4. Hanger according to claim 3 characterized in that  that the blank comprises, between the two symmetrical parts which form the two half-hangers (2 and 3), a rectangular tongue (6) which forms the base of the hanger (1), ensures a thickness for the hanger (1) set in volume so that it does not mark the hanging garment on the shoulders, and acts as a stiffener on the hanger (1).  5. Hanger according to claim 1 characterized in that  that each symmetrical part cut from the blank is formed by a trapezoid (7 or 8), the two bases of which are grooved, the smallest with a tab forming the hook (4) and the largest with the base of said hanger (1) formed by the rectangular tongue (6).  6. Hanger according to claim 1 characterized in that  qu a wing of the trapezium (7 or 8) has at least one locking tab (9) in flat lay configuration.  7. Hanger according to claim 1 characterized in that  that at least one locking tab (10 or 11) is provided at the small base of the trapezoid (7 or 8) of each half-hanger (2 or 3) to block the hanger (1) in functional configuration.  8. Hanger according to claim 5 characterized in that  that at least one lug (12) forming a hook (4) is provided with a bonding flap (14) to ensure attachment to the other lug (13) forming a hook (4) when the two half-hangers (2 and 3) are folded towards each other.
