Apparatus with a motor-driven oscillating organ The invention relates to an apparatus with a motor-driven oscillating organ. In such apparatus it can be, for. B. to elec tric razors, electric scissors, vibrators, pulsators, stirrers, etc. act.
According to the invention, the apparatus is characterized in that the organ is coupled to a foam body which is at least partially delimited by solid walls.
The invention is explained below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment designed as an electric shaver.
The drawing shows the electric shaver in perspective, partly in section represents.
A drive motor (not shown) is arranged in a housing 1, which is used as a handle in a manner known per se, which gives a driver arm 2 a reciprocating movement. The driver arm extends over a recess 3 of a partition 4, on which a foam body 6 rests, which covers the recess 3 and the entire space between the partition 4 and the base plate 7 in the housing 1 by means of resilient pawls 8 (only one visible ) held shaving head 9 fills.
This space is delimited on its long sides by the lower edges 10 of a tunnel-shaped fixed cutting organ 11 attached to the base plate 7 and on the narrow sides by extensions 1 'and 1 "of the housing, which extensions rest against the end faces of the fixed cutting member 11.
The base plate 7 has a circular opening 12 through which the driver arm 2, which is fully enclosed by the foam body 6, extends. An annular extension 6 'of the foam body extends through the opening 12 and rests on a web 13 parallel to the base plate 7, in which the end of the driver arm 2 engages positively. The web 13 carries the likewise tunnel-shaped and the underside of the stationary cutting element 11 clinging vibrating cutting element 14.
The latter is braced against the stationary cutting element by springs 15 which are inserted between the base plate 7 and the web 13.
The foam body 6 made of foam rubber, a foam plastic or a similar elastic rule cell material is accessible after removing the shear head 9 to be cleaned or replaced if necessary. For this purpose, the pawls 8 with the help of a finger rest 5 (only one can be seen) against the action of a spring from their position overlapping the base plate 7 are pivoted back.
The functioning of such a razor per se can be assumed to be known, so that the following explanations can only be limited to the effect of the foam body.
As a result of the resilient contact pressure of the foam body on the underside of the base plate 7 and / or the extension 6 'of the foam body on the web 13, the unwanted play of the shaving head 9 in the housing is canceled or the oscillating cutting element is better pressed against the stationary cutting element. In addition, the extension 6 'makes the movement connection between the driver arm 2 and the web 13 play-free.
By eliminating the play at this point and between the shaving head 9 and the housing, practically complete noise attenuation is achieved. In addition, the foam body acts as a type of sound-absorbing mass, which practically excludes the resonance, in particular of the base plate 7 and the web 13.
At the same time acts as a result of the intimate contact with the driver arm 2 and the web 13 resonating foam body in the sense of the lateral cushioning of the vibrating cutting organ or the driver arm, braking or accelerating the vibrating parts before or after reaching the dead center the otherwise sudden reversal of the movement is considerably smoothed. The result is not only a low-noise run, but also an improved cutting effect.
Due to the resilient oscillating movement of the foam body 6 itself, but in particular due to the associated change in volume of the air in the foam body, the air in the cavity of the shaving head, namely below the cutting elements, is brought into a pulsating movement with a vacuum-like effect.
An air movement corresponding to the increase or decrease of the pressure in the space mentioned occurs through the perforations of the cutting elements, thus, so to speak, a kind of flushing of these perforations. In this case, the whiskers will engage in the perforations with greater certainty or the sliding of the shaving head on the skin will be facilitated while the same is largely spared. At the same time, the risk of trapped hairs getting stuck is greatly reduced.
Incidentally, these hairs come, if they pass through the lateral crevices or when the driver arm is carried out under the web, in part in contact with the foam body, which can easily accommodate such cut hair without causing the above-mentioned effects noticeably impaired.
It goes without saying that the invention is not restricted to the structural details of the exemplary embodiment shown, but rather encompasses all types of razors of the type mentioned at the beginning.
The functional and structural features mentioned in connection with the exemplary embodiment described apply mutatis mutandis to every further embodiment.
