Cravate pourvue d'une pince de fixation La présente invention a pour objet une cravate pourvue d'une pince de fixation.
Cette cravate est caractérisée en ce que ladite pince de fixation présente une base et une languette solli citée élastiquement contre la base, cette pince étant fixée sur un support en tissu de façon que la languette soit disposée sur une face du support en tissu, la base étant fixée à ce support au moyen d'une pièce de recouvrement présentant une couche adhésive.
Le dessin représente, à titre d'exemple, plusieurs formes d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention.

Le dessin représente une cravate 5, l'extrémité large 6 de celle-ci (fig.1) portant une boucle en étoffe 7; celle-ci est fixée à la face arrière de cette extrémité large par une couture exécutée à chacune des extré mités de la boucle-étiquette 7.
L'extrémité étroite de la cravate porte, fixée sur sa face arrière, une étiquette 8 que comporte la cravate représentée. L'étiquette 8 présente une rainure 9 à travers laquelle passe une languette 10 d'une pince de la cravate, cette pince étant de préférence construite en matériau semi-rigide et sa largeur étant sensible ment égale à celle de l'étiquette 8. Ainsi, le corps de la pince est couvert par l'étoffe de l'étiquette qui est destinée à venir s'appliquer contre la chemise avec laquelle la cravate est portée.
La pince est fixée à l'étiquette 8 au moyen d'une bande adhésive 11 recouvrant le corps de la pince, une partie de la bande traversant une ouverture allongée de la pince où elle est fixée à l'autre face de l'étiquette 8 afin de fixer ensemble l'étiquette et la pince.
La cravate est destinée à être nouée pour former le naeud de cravate conventionnel. Lorsque ce noeud a été formé, l'extrémité étroite est passée dans la boucle 7 et est amenée dans une position adjacente à l'extrémité-large, comme représenté à la fig. 2. La pince est ensuite pincée sur la chemise afin de main tenir les extrémités de la cravate dans la position voulue par rapport à la chemise.
Ce dispositif permet de maintenir la cravate en place, l'extrémité étroite étant fixée rigidement et l'extrémité large pouvant se déplacer longitudinalement sur l'extrémité étroite lorsque le corps de l'usager se déplace; ceci donnera à la cravate une apparence de souplesse malgré qu'elle soit maintenue en bas par la pince.
On se reportera maintenant aux fig. 6 à 15 qui représentent des perfectionnements.
La fig. 6 représente une variante de la cravate dans laquelle les deux extrémités d'une cravate conven tionnelle, l'extrémité large 6 portant une étiquette 8 formant une boucle sur laquelle est fixée une pince métallique 14, l'extrémité étroite de la cravate passant à travers la boucle.
La fig. 7 représente une coupe à travers la ligne 8-8 de la fig. 6, la cravate étant représentée fixée à la chemise. L'étiquette 8 est fixée à l'extrémité large de la cravate 6 au moyen de coutures 20. L'extrémité étroite de la cravate passe à travers cette étiquette et est retenue par elle. La base 15 de la pince 14 est adjacente à la face intérieure de l'étiquette 8 et sa languette élastique 10 passe à travers une rainure 9 que présente cette étiquette 8; cette base est fixée à l'étiquette 8 au moyen d'une pièce de recouvrement 11 fixée au moyen d'un adhésif. La fixation de la lan guette 10 sur la chemise 23 est facilitée par l'extrémité relevée 17.
La fig. 8 montre l'ébauche en métal à partir de laquelle la pince 14 est formée. Elle comprend une base 15 (le centre 16 de cette base ayant été évidé) et une languette 10. La face intérieure de cette languette peut être étampée de façon à présenter une surface intérieure rugueuse 18 capable d'assurer une meilleure rétention de la chemise.
La fig. 9 représente la pince terminée et présentant une base 15, un évidement 16 pratiqué dans la base 15 et une languette 10 appuyant élastiquement contre la base et présentant une extrémité relevée 17.
La fig. 10 représente la pince passée à travers la rainure 9 de l'étiquette 8, sa base étant appliquée contre la face intérieure de l'étiquette 8 et étant recouverte en partie par la pièce 11 qui présente une surface adhésive 19 comme représenté à la fig. 10.
La fig. 11 représente une forme d'exécution pré férée de la cravate dans laquelle la partie de l'étiquette 8 située sous la languette 10 et s'étendant quelque peu au-delà de ladite languette est constituée par une étoffe croisée ou autre de façon à présenter une surface rugueuse propre à assurer une meilleure rétention de la chemise. Le recouvrage de la pince que constitue l'étiquette tend à réduire l'usure de la chemise par la pince.
La fig. 12 montre comment la boucle est fixée au tissu 24 destiné à former la cravate, ceci au moyen de coutures 20 et 20'. La languette est placée en regard de la surface extérieure dudit tissu 24 de même que la face avant de l'étiquette 8. La pièce 11 et sa surface adhésive sont placées sur la surface arrière de l'étiquette en recouvrant la base de la pince. La fig. 13 montre l'ensemble formé par la boucle, l'étiquette et la pince lorsque la couture centrale 22 de la cravate est exécutée.
Lorsque la pince 14 est fixée sur l'étiquette 8 dans une position décentrée, l'ensemble formé par l'éti quette et la pince peut être disposé de façon à ne pas gêner les opérations nécessitées pour l'exécution de la couture centrale 22. La fig. 14, représentant une coupe selon la ligne 14-14 de la fig. 13, montre la position occupée par les différents éléments lorsque ledit ensemble est disposé le long de ladite couture. La couture centrale 22 est exécutée après que l'étoffe 24 a été tirée d'un côté.
L'étiquette 8 qui est fixée à l'étoffe 24 par les coutures 20 permet suffisamment de jeu pour que la pince 14 puisse être amenée à l'écart de la couture centrale 22 sans que l'effort exercé sur l'étiquette 8 ou les coutures 20 ne soit trop élevé et sans provoquer un décollage de la pièce 11.
La fig. 11 montre la gaine formée par la pièce d'étoffe après que la couture centrale a été exécutée, cette dernière étant de nouveau placée au centre. L'étiquette 8 est fixée par les coutures 20 et la pince 14 est fixée à l'étiquette 8 au moyen de la pièce 11 qui est fixée à l'étiquette 8 au moyen d'un adhésif thermo plastique 19. Le tracé en traits mixtes montre la posi tion de l'étoffe constituant la cravate après qu'elle a été retroussée dans sa position définitive.
L'ensemble formé par l'étiquette et la pince peut être fixé en tout endroit de la face arrière de l'extré mité large de la cravate qui permet le passage de l'extrémité étroite à travers la boucle formée par l'éti quette et qui permet le pinçage de la cravate sur la chemise de l'usager sans provoquer de plis ou autre.
La pince peut être en plastique ou en métal.
La cravate décrite peut être fabriquée plus simple ment que les cravates similaires connues jusqu'à maintenant. La nouvelle position occupée par la pince dans l'étiquette résout le problème de l'exécution de la couture centrale d'une cravate présentant un ensemble formé par une étiquette et une pince étant donné que cet ensemble doit pouvoir être amené hors du trajet de l'aiguille à coudre sans pour autant déformer l'étoffe ou nuire à la rectitude de la couture centrale. La pince centrée, dans les cravates connues, ne permettait pas suffisamment de flexibilité pour que la cravate puisse être placée sur une machine à coudre.
Dans les procédés de fabrication connus, l'étiquette était fixée après que la cravate ait été formée en exécutant la couture centrale, ce qui est beaucoup plus difficile étant donné que la cravate se présente à ce moment sous la forme d'une gaine.
Cette pince présente encore un autre avantage. L'étoffe, aux extrémités d'une cravate fixée à une chemise par une pince centrée sur l'extrémité de la cravate, est quelque peu oblique. L'expérience a mon tré que cet effet est éliminé lorsque la pince est déportée par rapport au centre.
L'opération consistant à fixer la pince en insérant la languette à travers une rainure que présente la plaquette et en fixant la base sur la face intérieure de ja plaquette au moyen d'une pièce recouverte d'un adhésif représente un avantage sensible par rapport à l'opération consistant à coudre la pince en place. Lorsque la pince est fixée au moyen d'une pièce adhé sive, on peut traiter plusieurs cravates à la fois, ce qui n'est pas le cas lorsque la pince est cousue.
De toute façon, l'opération consistant à presser, avec un fer chaud, la pièce revêtue d'un adhésif thermoplastique sur la plaquette est plus rapide que celle consistant à coudre autour de la pince; par cette opération, on forme en outre un joint rigide dans lequel la pince est maintenue solidement entre la plaquette et la pièce de recouvrement.
La cravate décrite peut être pourvue du dispositif de fixation sans avoir recours à un outillage supplé mentaire.

The drawing shows a tie 5, the wide end 6 thereof (fig.1) carrying a fabric loop 7; this is fixed to the rear face of this wide end by a seam made at each end of the loop label 7.
The narrow end of the tie carries, fixed on its rear face, a label 8 which includes the tie shown. The label 8 has a groove 9 through which passes a tongue 10 of a tie clip, this clip preferably being constructed of semi-rigid material and its width being substantially equal to that of the label 8. Thus , the body of the clip is covered by the fabric of the label which is intended to be applied against the shirt with which the tie is worn.
The clip is attached to the label 8 by means of an adhesive strip 11 covering the body of the clip, part of the strip passing through an elongated opening of the clip where it is attached to the other side of the label 8 to secure the label and clip together.
The tie is intended to be tied to form the conventional tie knot. When this knot has been formed, the narrow end is passed through loop 7 and is brought into a position adjacent to the wide end, as shown in fig. 2. The clip is then pinched on the shirt in order to hand hold the ends of the tie in the desired position relative to the shirt.
This device keeps the tie in place, the narrow end being rigidly fixed and the wide end being able to move longitudinally on the narrow end when the user's body is moving; this will give the tie an appearance of flexibility despite being held down by the clip.
We will now refer to FIGS. 6 to 15 which represent improvements.
Fig. 6 shows a variant of the tie in which the two ends of a conventional tie, the wide end 6 bearing a label 8 forming a loop to which is attached a metal clip 14, the narrow end of the tie passing through the loop.
Fig. 7 is a section through line 8-8 of FIG. 6, the tie being shown attached to the shirt. The tag 8 is attached to the wide end of the tie 6 by means of seams 20. The narrow end of the tie passes through this tag and is retained by it. The base 15 of the clip 14 is adjacent to the inner face of the label 8 and its elastic tongue 10 passes through a groove 9 that this label 8 presents; this base is fixed to the label 8 by means of a cover piece 11 fixed by means of an adhesive. The fixing of the watch strap 10 on the shirt 23 is facilitated by the raised end 17.
Fig. 8 shows the metal blank from which the clamp 14 is formed. It comprises a base 15 (the center 16 of this base having been hollowed out) and a tongue 10. The interior face of this tongue may be stamped so as to present a rough interior surface 18 capable of ensuring better retention of the shirt.
Fig. 9 shows the finished clamp and having a base 15, a recess 16 made in the base 15 and a tab 10 resiliently pressing against the base and having a raised end 17.
Fig. 10 shows the clamp passed through the groove 9 of the label 8, its base being applied against the inside face of the label 8 and being partially covered by the part 11 which has an adhesive surface 19 as shown in FIG. 10.
Fig. 11 shows a preferred embodiment of the tie in which the part of the label 8 situated under the tongue 10 and extending somewhat beyond said tongue is formed by a crossed fabric or the like so as to present a clean rough surface to ensure better retention of the shirt. Covering the clip with the label tends to reduce wear on the liner by the clip.
Fig. 12 shows how the loop is fixed to the fabric 24 intended to form the tie, this by means of seams 20 and 20 '. The tab is placed opposite the exterior surface of said fabric 24 as well as the front face of the label 8. The part 11 and its adhesive surface are placed on the rear surface of the label, covering the base of the clamp. Fig. 13 shows the assembly formed by the loop, the label and the clip when the central seam 22 of the tie is made.
When the clamp 14 is fixed on the label 8 in an off-center position, the assembly formed by the label and the clamp can be arranged so as not to interfere with the operations required for the execution of the central seam 22. Fig. 14, showing a section on line 14-14 of FIG. 13, shows the position occupied by the different elements when said assembly is arranged along said seam. Center seam 22 is made after fabric 24 has been pulled to one side.
The label 8 which is fixed to the fabric 24 by the seams 20 allows sufficient play so that the clamp 14 can be brought away from the central seam 22 without the force exerted on the label 8 or the seams 20 is too high and without causing the part 11 to come off.
Fig. 11 shows the sheath formed by the piece of fabric after the center seam has been executed, the latter again being placed in the center. The label 8 is fixed by the seams 20 and the clip 14 is fixed to the label 8 by means of the part 11 which is fixed to the label 8 by means of a thermoplastic adhesive 19. The line in phantom lines shows the position of the tie fabric after it has been rolled up to its final position.
The assembly formed by the label and the clip can be attached anywhere on the rear face of the wide end of the tie which allows the narrow end to pass through the loop formed by the label and which allows the tie to be pinched on the user's shirt without causing folds or the like.
The clamp can be plastic or metal.
The described tie can be made more simply than similar ties known heretofore. The new position occupied by the clip in the label solves the problem of performing the central seam of a tie having an assembly formed by a label and a clip, since this assembly must be able to be brought out of the path of the tie. sewing needle without distorting the fabric or affecting the straightness of the central seam. The centered clip, in known ties, did not allow sufficient flexibility for the tie to be placed on a sewing machine.
In known manufacturing methods, the label was attached after the tie was formed by performing the center seam, which is much more difficult since the tie is at this time in the form of a sheath.
This clamp has yet another advantage. The material, at the ends of a tie attached to a shirt by a clip centered on the end of the tie, is somewhat oblique. Experience has shown that this effect is eliminated when the clamp is offset from the center.
The operation consisting in fixing the clamp by inserting the tongue through a groove in the plate and fixing the base to the inside face of the plate by means of a part covered with an adhesive represents a significant advantage over the operation of sewing the clip in place. When the clip is fixed by means of an adhesive piece, several ties can be processed at the same time, which is not the case when the clip is sewn.
In any case, the operation consisting in pressing, with a hot iron, the part coated with a thermoplastic adhesive on the plate is faster than that consisting in sewing around the clamp; by this operation, a rigid seal is also formed in which the clamp is held securely between the plate and the cover part.
The tie described can be provided with the fastening device without having to resort to additional tools.
