Deburring device The invention relates to a deburring device for removing a burr running along a circumferential zone of a cylindrical workpiece, in particular for removing the weld burr from coaxially welded round rods or the outer weld burr from coaxially welded tubes.
The deburring device according to the invention has two aligned grooves, which are at least approximately V-shaped in cross-section and each serve to accommodate a part of the workpiece to be deburred. These grooves run on both sides of a recess which forms a free space for the part of the ridge of the workpiece protruding in the area of the body. A deburring tool is arranged opposite the recess on the open side of the grooves.
In addition, the deburring device has means with which the deburring tool can be pressed in the direction of the body and simultaneously guided around the workpiece together with the body. The deburring tool can be displaceable, pivotable and fixable in its position relative to the mentioned means for setting different clearance angles.
The deburring tool can have a cutting edge running parallel to the grooves or several cutting edges which do not necessarily run parallel to the grooves, for example are alternately inclined in opposite directions to the direction of the grooves.
The movement of the deburring tool in the direction of the body is expediently limited by means of an adjustable stop. This limitation must be set so that the deburring tool assumes the corresponding end position when the burr has been removed. In one embodiment of the device, said body forms a lip of a pair of pliers. The joint axis of these pliers runs parallel to the grooves, and the exchangeable deburring tool forms the other lip of the pliers.
The joint axis can be adjustable relative to at least one of the lips at least approximately parallel to the plane of symmetry of the grooves.
The pliers can also be parallel pliers, the parallel guidance of which leads the deburring tool pa rallel to the plane of symmetry of the grooves, so that the angle of attack of the deburring tool is independent of the diameter of the workpiece.
If the pliers are not parallel pliers, the same goal can be achieved in that the flanks of the grooves have such a course relative to the pincer joint axis and the grooves and the deburring tool have such distances from the pin joint axis that the setting angle of the deburring tool is within a predetermined range of the opening angle of the pliers is constant enough. This can be achieved by appropriately curved flanks of the grooves.
Each of the pliers handles is expediently angled outwards at a distance of about 5/9 of its length from the pincer joint at an angle of about 8-1211. As a result, the pliers are easy to use with both a larger and a smaller opening angle. In the drawing, a deburring pliers are shown as an embodiment of the device according to the invention.
1 shows a plan view of the deburring pliers, partly in section; Fig. 2 is a partial view in the direction of the arrow I1 in Fig. 1, partly in section along the line A-B; Fig. 3 is a partial view in the direction of arrow III in Fig. 1; 4, 5 and 6 each show a plan view of the pliers head in the position of use when deburring round bars of different diameters; 7 shows a deburring tool; 8 shows a variant of FIG. 7 with a different wedge and clearance angle.
In the illustrated deburring pliers, one lip 1 has two aligned grooves 2 and 3. The grooves 2 and 3 are V-shaped in cross-section and run parallel to the joint axis 4 of the pliers on both sides of a recess 5. The other lip of the pliers is through a deburring tool 6 formed, which is arranged opposite the recess 5 on the open side of the grooves 2, 3 and is fastened interchangeably on the pliers jaw part 7 by means of two bolts (not shown in the drawing).
The grooves 2, 3 each serve to accommodate one of the parts of the workpiece adjoining the burr to be removed. The recess 5 forms a free space into which the burr to be removed protrudes with part of its circumference. The handles of the pliers are marked 8. Each of these handles 8 is angled outwards at a distance of approximately 5/9 of its length from the pincer joint at an angle of approximately 8 to 120.
As a result, the pliers can be handled comfortably with both small and large opening angles, and it is prevented in particular that the free ends of the handles 8 occupy a small distance to detect uncomfortably small distance when the workpiece to be deburred is small.
When using the pliers, each of the parts of the workpiece adjoining the burr to be removed is placed in one of the grooves 2 and 3. The burr to be removed then protrudes into the recess 5 with part of its circumference. By squeezing the handles 8, the deburring tool 6 with its cutting edge is pressed against the burr of the workpiece and this is thereby held in the grooves 2 and 3. At the same time, the pliers are swiveled around the axis of the workpiece as the center, with the deburring tool removing the burr by chips.
4, 5 and 6 each show a top view of the pliers head when deburring a round rod 9, the diameter of which is different in FIGS. 4, 5 and 6 and the ridge of which is indicated by a dash-dotted line 10. As these figures show, the deburring tool engages within a range of different diameters of the workpiece 9 with a corresponding clearance angle on the burr 10 to be removed. This area is determined by the course of the flanks of the grooves 2 and 3 and by the distance between these grooves and the cutting edge of the deburring tool 6 from the joint axis 4. The curved flanks of the grooves 2 and 3 can enlarge this area and improve the constancy of the clearance angle.
7 and 8 show two embodiments of the deburring tool with different clearance and wedge angles. The deburring tool has a bore 11 and an elongated hole 12 through which a screw (not shown) or a pin for fastening to the pliers jaw part 7 is to be fed.
The deburring tool can be displaceable, pivotable and fixable in its position relative to the jaw part 7 for setting different free angles (in a manner not shown). As a result, adaptation to different workpieces with different diameters is possible, please include. To adapt to different materials, deburring tools with different wedge angles can be interchanged.
In the illustrated embodiment, the deburring tool 6 has a cutting edge which runs parallel to the grooves 2, 3 and the axis of the work piece 9. The deburring tool can, however, also have several cutting edges, which can also be inclined from alternately in opposite directions against the axis of the workpiece.
In order to limit the advance of the deburring tool up to the position in which the burr has been removed and thereby prevent a chip from being removed from the tool itself after the deburring process has been carried out, the movement of the deburring tool in the direction of the body can be limited . For this purpose z. B. serve a screw, which sits in a nut thread one of the pliers handles 8 and in the end position concerned abuts against a stop surface of the pincer handle. The screw can be fixable with a lock nut, or the nut thread can be slotted and clamped together to fix the position of the screw. One forceps jaw part can also have the nut thread and the other forceps mouth part the stop surface.
Workpieces within a larger diameter range can be deburred with an almost constant clearance angle of the deburring tool if the position of the joint axis of the deburring pliers can be adjusted relative to one or both pliers lips (e.g. as with so-called flash pliers). A clearance angle that is independent of the workpiece diameter is achieved (even with flat flanks of the grooves) if the deburring pliers are designed as parallel pliers.
