Press for compacting pourable masses The subject matter of the invention is a press for compacting pourable masses, in particular an electrode press.
In a known press for this purpose, in addition to a fixed upper punch, a movable lower punch and a mold is provided which receives the material to be compressed and is also movable in the direction of movement of the lower punch. During the compression process, after the mold or the material contained therein has hit the counter-punch, the lower ram enters the mold and compresses the material from bottom to top. This leads to a relatively uneven compression of the material, since the mold, although it can also move upwards, is not necessarily driven on.
The present invention aims to create a press for compacting pourable masses with which the aforementioned disadvantage can be avoided. The press according to the invention is characterized in that a hydraulic drive device is provided for the mold, which drives it inevitably and during the pressing process at a lower speed than that of the press ram. In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the press according to the invention is shown.
1 shows a schematic representation of the press with its drive, FIG. 2 shows the position of the punch and the mold at the beginning of the compression process, FIG. 3 shows the position of the parts according to FIG. 2 at the end of the compression process, FIG diagrammatic representation of the Stem pel- and Kokillenweges. In Fig. 1, 1 denotes a movable ram, 2 denotes a mold and 3 denotes a fixed counter-die.
The movable press ram is arranged in a cylinder 4 of a press stand 5, the latter carrying the fixed press ram 3 at its upper end. The mold 2 is guided by two piston rods 6 and 7, which extend into cylinders 8 and 9 of the stand 5. The material to be compacted in the mold 2 is denoted by 10.
A pump 11 with a constant delivery volume is driven by an electric motor 12, which also has a. Drives pump 13 with an adjustable delivery volume. The pump 11 is connected via an order switching valve 14 which can be set by an actuator 15 and via a line 16 to the cylinder 4 of the movable ram 1, wherein in the illustrated position of the valve 14 the cylinder 4 pressure medium is supplied.
The adjustable pump 13 is connected via a reversing valve 17 and lines 18 and 19 to the cylinders 8 and 9 and acts on the pistons 6 and 7 of the mold. With the pump 13 is a Re regulating device 20 in operative connection, which is connected to a cam roller 25 via a linkage 21, 22, 23 and 24. The cam roller 25 is supported on a control cam 26 which is fastened to the mold 2 BE and moves along the roll when it is moved in the working direction.
The operation of the press described is as follows: When the electric motor 12 is started up, the pumps 11 and 13 are driven and convey pressure medium to the pistons 1 or 6 and 7. The ratio of the delivery volumes of the pumps 11 and 13 corresponds to the ratio of Piston areas of pistons 1 or 6 and 7.
Thus, the die and mold move into the position shown in FIG. 2, in which the compression process begins, in that the mold or the pourable material 10 contained therein runs onto the counter-punch 3. As can be seen, the roller 25 begins to run on the curved part of the curve 26 and ver shifts to the left. As a result, the linkage 24, 23, 22, 21 is actuated in such a way that the regulating device 20 causes a reduction in the delivery volume of the pump 13.
The speed of upward movement of the mold 2 is thus reduced in relation to the speed of the upward movement of the Stem pels 1, so that the same penetrates the mold, at the same time as the penetration of the counter punch 3 from the opposite side.
In the diagram of Fig. 4, the path of the mold over the path of the movable die 1 aufgetra conditions, where S1 denotes the path of the die 1 and S2 the path of the mold. Over the distance zero to a, d. H. from the relative position shown in Fig. 1 to the relative position shown in Fig. 2, the punch and mold move at the same speed, so that the curves of S1 and S2 coincide.
On the way to work a-b, d. H. From the position shown in FIG. 2 to the position shown in FIG. 3, the speed of the mold 2 is reduced, so that the curve S2 for its path is flatter than the curve S1 for the punch 1.
When the mold 2 and die 1 have reached the position shown in FIG. 3, the material 10 is compressed to the predetermined level. The inevitable movement of the mold 2 relative to the punch 1 causes the punch 1 and counter-punch 3 to move by the same distance into the mold. As a result, an uneven compression of the good 10 due to friction and bridging with the Ko kille 2 is avoided or there is a uniform Ver seal both from the stamp 1 and from the counter stamp 3 ago.
Of course, it would also be possible to achieve the inevitable drive of the mold at a speed that is lower than that of the punch 1 because only one pump would be used instead of two pumps, one of which is adjustable In the form of a regulating valve at the beginning of the compression process, the piston 8 and 9 would feed a correspondingly reduced amount of pressure medium. The control curves could of course have a different course than that shown in Figs. 1 and 2 Darge, and thereby have a different displacement path of the mold relative to the stamp or a different time course of the same.
