Description

Switch with multiple spark chambers and magnetic blowing The invention relates to a switch with magnetic shear blowing, in which several spark chambers are available, on which horns are attached to conduct the electric arc into the chambers. These running horns also establish the electrical connection between the individual chambers.

It can now happen that when the arc is blown into the chambers in the event of severe shutdowns, the arc strikes out of the chamber and reconnects there with the arc of another chamber. It must therefore be ensured that the arc cannot escape from the chamber.

According to the invention, this can be achieved in a simple manner in that the running horns are bent over at the upper end.

The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment where in FIG. 1 a chamber with a barrel horn in elevation, partially cut, reproduces, while FIG. 2 shows a top view of the arrangement according to FIG.

In Fig. 1, the spark chambers, which consists of insulating walls, with 1 and 1 'denoted net. The running horns 2, 2 'are attached to them, which are bent over at their upper end. The bent piece is labeled 3. As can be clearly seen from the plan view shown in Figure 2, several spark chambers 1, 1 'etc. are arranged one behind the other, the horns 2, 2' etc. each electrically connect two adjacent chambers mitein each other. So the barrel horn 2 establishes the connection between the right side of the chamber 1 with the left side of the chamber 1 ', the barrel horn 2' in turn connects the right side of the chamber 1 'with the left side of the next chamber, etc.

As a result of the bent ends of the barrel horns, the arc moving upwards within the chambers is caught and held back at the bent ends. The bent piece 3 cools the arc and prevents further climbing up.

The advantage of the arrangement is greater security against flashover of the arc outside the chambers.
