Setting device for burners with gaseous fuel The invention relates to a setting device for burners with gaseous fuel, comprising a housing with inlet and outlet channels, which are dominated by a tap with a rotatable conical plug, the plug having a shaft and a Has passage which can be connected to said channels in such a way that one position is open.
and a closed position is achieved, and wherein an auxiliary channel is provided in the housing which releases a passage for an ignition position which is open from the positions. and closed is separated, and that furthermore the housing has a cover which is penetrated by the shaft of the plug, which latter carries an adjustment handle for adjusting the plug and is characterized in that the shaft has at least one longitudinal slot into which a rib of the adjustment handle engages that a disc is in operative connection with the adjustment handle and has an inwardly directed approach that engages in the slot,
wherein the adjustment handle and the disc are axially displaceable on the shaft and the disc can be rotated with the shaft and with the adjustment handle, furthermore the disc and the cover have interengaging parts which the rotation of the plug from the ignition position to the position Prevent closed, and that by axial displacement of the disc against the force of a spring, the interengaging parts can be disengaged to allow the plug to rotate in the closed position.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows the cross section of a special exemplary embodiment according to the invention and FIG. 2 shows the object of FIG. 1 in a view from above with various partial sections.
The setting device shown in the drawing includes a housing 10 with an inlet opening 12, which is connected to the fuel source, a main outlet opening 14, which is connected to the main burner of a burner device for gaseous fuels, and an auxiliary opening 16, which is connected to the pilot burner such Burner device is connected.
A cock 18 is arranged between the inlet 12 and outlet openings 14 and 16 to control the fuel supply from the storage point to the burner device. The cock 18 has the shape of a conical plug 20 which is rotatably enclosed in a corresponding conical bore 22 in the housing 10 between the inlet opening 12 and the outlet openings 14 and 16. At the end of the plug 20, a valve seat 24 for a safety valve is provided in an inner chamber 28, which chamber is in communication with the inlet opening 12 via the housing 10.
A central passage opening 30 is provided on the plug 20 adjacent to the valve seat 24. The plug 20 has a lateral bore 32 which is in communication with the bore 30 and is connected to the main burner bore 34 and a pilot burner bore 36 in the housing 10 when the plug 20 is in the on or ignition position.
The main burner bore 34 establishes a connection between the bore 32 and the main outlet opening 14 and the pilot burner passage 36 establishes a connection between the bore 38 and the outlet opening 16. 1 shows the on position of the plug 20, in which the fuel is fed from the inlet chamber 28 into bore 30, the lateral bore 32, the main burner bore 34 to the main outlet opening 14.
2 shows the ignition position of the plug 20, in which the fuel is fed from the lateral bore 32 into the pilot burner bore 36, bore 38 and a filter 39 to the auxiliary outlet opening 16. A further rotation of the plug 20 in a clockwise direction, starting from the position shown in FIG. 2, brings the plug 20 into the off position in which the passage is cut off from the lateral bore. A thermoelectric safety valve blocks the fuel supply to the main and pilot burners if the flame on the pilot burner is not burning.
For this purpose, a valve disk 42 is arranged in the inner chamber 28 and closes and opens the valve seat 24, the direction of this movement taking place in the direction of the axis of the plug 20. The valve disk 42 is connected to one end of the valve stem 44, the other end of which engages in a housing 46 in which it is connected to a conventional thermoelectric monitoring device, which is not shown.
This thermoelectric monitoring device contains a thermocouple which is arranged in the vicinity of the flame on the pilot burner and the ends of which are connected to a winding on the electro magnet arranged in the housing 46. are. The armature rests on the pole faces of the magnet when the armature is pulled and has a certain distance from it when the armature has fallen off.
The current generated by the thermocouple exposed to the flame of the pilot burner is not sufficient to attract the fallen armature, but it is so great that it keeps the armature attracted after it has been reset. Since the valve disk 42 is not connected to the armature, the valve seat 24 is open when the armature rests on the pole faces and releases the fuel passage to the main and pilot burners. A compression spring 48 is clamped between the housing 46 and the valve head 42 and thus presses the valve head 42 against the valve seat 24 when the armature has fallen off.
After thermoelectric monitoring devices of the type described are known, a more detailed description is not given.
To reset the armature from the fallen into the attracted position, a device for manual operation is provided. Accordingly, the thermoelectric safety valve is switched from position to in to. For this purpose, the reset tappet 50, which is displaceable in the longitudinal axis of the valve disk 42, is guided in a guide 52 in the plug 20. The inner end 54 of the reset tappet 50 extends into the central bore 30 and lies opposite a bearing member 56 that is attached to the inner end of the valve tappet 44.
The outer end 58 of the reset plunger 50 is screwed into an adjusting handle 60 which is clamped in a cylindrical projection 62 of the plug 20 by a central projection 61 with two ribs.
The adjustment handle 60 rotates together with the plug 20 and can slide in the axial direction in guides 64 in the cylindrical projection 62.
A collar 66 on the reset plunger 50 rests on the inner wall 68 of the guide 52 and ver prevents movement of the retraction plunger 50 out of the guide 52; a spring 70 under tension is fastened between the handle 60 and a sealing member 72 on the outer wall 74 of the guide 52. The spring 70 normally presses the collar 66 against the wall 68. A spring 76, which is inserted between a cover 78 secured by screws 79 on the housing 10 and a ring 80 on the plug 20, ensures a pressure in the sealing sense on the Plug 20 against the conical bore 22.
The movement of the setting handle 60 against the housing 46 causes the safety valve to move into the open position in that the reset plunger 50 strikes the abutment 56 and releases the fuel supply to ignite the pilot burner. Since there is a risk that this operation takes place when the tap 18 is in the on position, it is necessary to take precautions to prevent the safety valve from switching over when the tap 18 takes this position. For this purpose, a lock is provided between the handle 60 and the plug 20.
The adjustment handle 60 has two opposing ribs 84 that extend radially inward and lie above the top surface 86 of the lid 78. The cover 78 has two opposing recesses 88 which allow the handle to be moved without the ribs 84 and the cover 78 interfering with one another. The recesses 88 on the circumference of the cover allow the setting handle 60 to be pressed down to open the safety valve only when the tap 18 is brought into the ignition or off position by the setting handle 60.
By depressing the adjustment handle 60 when the cock 18 is in the on position, the ribs 84 abut the upper surface 86 of the cover 78.
The lock contains a device that allows ge to bring the cock 18 immediately into the ignition position. For this purpose, an annular disk 90 is arranged around the cylindrical part 62, which is pressed upwards against the cover 78 by a spring 89 which is tensioned between the underside of the disk 90 and the ring 80. The disc. 90 has two inwardly directed lugs 92 which are rich in the guides 64 in the cylindrical part 62 so that the disc 90 rotates together with the plug 20. The disc 90 also has an outwardly directed projection 94 which strikes the stop 96 on the cover 78 when the plug 20 is rotated clockwise .in the ignition position.
The stop 96 is undercut, as shown at 98, so that from the ignition >> position of the plug a further clockwise rotation until the off position is not possible by depressing the setting handle 60 by a certain amount.
By turning the setting disk 60 from the off position counterclockwise to the on position, the outwardly directed projection 94 slides along the undercut part of the stop 96 until the setting handle 60 has reached the ignition position. At the same time, the disc 90 moves away from the undercut part of the stop 96 and hits the cover 78 audibly through the action of the spring 89. The operator thus sees and hears that the disc 60 is in the ignition position.
As is customary in such devices, a mark 99 is applied to the cover 78 to indicate the individual positions on, ignition and off on the adjustment handle 60. A rectangular recess 100 in the adjustment handle 60 takes a United extension shaft for remote control of the adjustment handle.
When the pilot burner has ignited during operation, a thermoelectric current is generated in the coil of the electromagnet of the safety valve due to the generation of heat. The electromagnet builds up an electric field of sufficient strength so that the magnetic force attracts the armature and keeps the safety valve in the open position when the armature is brought into the tightening position by pressing down the adjustment handle 60. If, for any reason, the pilot flame is extinguished in the on position during normal burner operation, the holding force of the electromagnet is insufficient to keep the armature attracted.
The spring 48 brings the safety valve 42 into contact with the valve seat 24 to shut off the fuel supply to the main and pilot burners.
If a switchover of the safety valve he wishes to release the fuel supply through the gas cock 18, the adjustment handle 60 is rotated into the ignition position shown in FIG. As a result, the ribs 84 assume such a position that they cover the recesses 88 so that the adjustment handle 60 can be depressed to switch the armature over the reset plunger 50 into the tightening position. The ignition position of the plug 20 enables fuel to be supplied to the pilot burner only in the illustration according to FIG. 2.
When the adjustment handle 60 is released, the springs 70 and 89 lead them back into their outer end position, which is shown in FIG. The adjustment handle 60 can now be turned counterclockwise so that the plug 20 is brought into the on position, in which the lateral bore 32 coincides with the bore 34 and makes the fuel supply to the main burner possible in the manner described above, whereby the fuel is ignited by the pilot flame.
The fuel supply to the main and pilot burners is blocked by turning the adjusting handle 60 clockwise until the shoulder 94 of the disk 90 hits the stop 96. Then the adjustment handle 60 is pressed down a certain amount so that un-. prevented further rotation in the clockwise direction up to the off position in which the plug 20 blocks any fuel supply through the main burner bore 34 and the pilot burner bore 36 is possible.
