Device for damping the vibrations of coils driven on the circumference on winding machines
The invention relates to a device for damping the vibrations of coils driven on the periphery of winding machines in order to eliminate so-called jumping of the coil.
As is known, in the production of cross-wound bobbins it is necessary that the bobbin case received in the bobbin frame is placed on the slotted or bobbin case.
Grooved drum trained drive roller rests to be carried along by the same by friction, d. H. to be set in rotation.
When processing rayon or other synthetic fibers, when manufacturing very hard bobbins and when using non-circular bobbin receptacles, the bobbin can often jump on the slotted or grooved drum. Apart from the fact that this jumping of the bobbins damages the fiber material, it is impossible in such cases to produce a flawless cheese that meets all requirements. In order to prevent this annoying jumping of the coil, it has become known to load the coil frame with the coil by additional weights or by the pressure of a torsion spring which acts via a brake finger. Furthermore, it is known to connect the coil frame with a linkage, at the lower end of which a piston is attached, the axial movement of which in a cylinder by means of a liquid, for.
B. Ö1 can be inhibited. This hydraulic damping device opposes the gradual build-up of the bobbin during the slow movement of the bobbin frame with a resistance which depends entirely on the viscosity of the liquid. Even though this hydraulic damping greatly reduces the bobbin jumping, there is the disadvantage that the required damping strength can only be adjusted with difficulty for the material to be wound.
The hydraulic damping of each winding unit must be set individually.
Another known device for regulating the damping strength of the coils provides for eccentric disks to be arranged non-rotatably on the pivot axis of the coil carrier, each of which is encompassed in a loop by a brake band arranged in a semicircle centered around the pivot axis. In this device too, the tension of the brake belt has to be set individually for each winding station according to the desired damping strength of the reel, which is therefore disadvantageous. In addition to the large amount of time required to adjust the brake bands, there is no guarantee that the contact pressure will remain the same after the adjustment.
These disadvantages are avoided in the device according to the invention mentioned at the beginning by an electromagnet which acts on an armature plate which is attached to a rod connected to the coil frame. Means can be provided in order to regulate the strength of the current feeding the elec tromagnets as desired and to adapt the force of the magnetic field to the required coil damping. The control of the force of the magnetic field for all winding units is advantageously carried out from a central point by means of known switching elements.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown schematically.
On the drum shaft 1 of a winding machine with the circumference driven coils Schlitztrom 2 are attached, on the circumference of which the coils 3 run, which are arranged in the coil frame 4.
The reel frame 4 is pivotably mounted on a shaft 5. A rod 7 is articulated on a web 6 of the coil frame 4. The rod 7 carries a magnet armature plate 8 which works together with a fixedly arranged electromagnet 9.
During the winding process, the rotating slotted drum 2 winds the bobbin 3 running on its circumference with yarn, as a result of which the diameter of the bobbin 3 increases slowly and the winding frame 4 swivels around the shaft 5. This pivoting movement of the reel frame 4 has the effect that the rod 7 articulated on the web 6 is slowly raised upwards. In order to counteract the known jumping of the bobbin, an electromagnet 9 is fixedly attached to the machine for each winding unit. At the start of the shift, the electromagnets of each winding unit are energized from a central point with the aid of a switch. The armature plate 8 arranged on the rod 7 is attracted to the electromagnet 9 at the moment the current is switched on.
If, as described, the rod 7 is slowly lifted as the diameter of the coil increases, the armature plate moves with a certain tenacity along the magnet, according to the magnitude of the force of the existing magnetic field, and opposes the upward and downward movement of the rod 7 with a resistance that a permanently perfect guidance of the coil 3 on the slotted drum 2 is guaranteed. Depending on the thread material to be wound, the current strength can be influenced as desired and jointly for all electromagnets by a rheostat (not shown) and the damping strength of the coil can thus be varied in the simplest way. The usual mechanical shutdown of the bobbin in the event of a thread breakage is not affected by the device shown.
