Gas-operated tenon puller The main patent relates to a gas-operated tenon puller, in which a pressurized, gaseous medium is introduced into the interior of the bottle to be uncorked and which tenon puller contains a removable pressurized gas cartridge with an attached check valve.
In the previously known tenon pullers of this type, the gas throttling was dependent on the actuation of a lever, and the full or half-empty pressure gas cartridge could only be removed after the cartridge had previously been emptied through the needle by long pressing the actuating lever. Furthermore, such pin puller showed the part after that the pressure medium located in the liquid state inside the pressure cartridge in the downward position of the needle z during the actuation of the pin puller. In some cases, liquid particles of the pressure medium were squeezed out, which - apart from losses of pressure medium - calls into question the proper functioning of the tenon puller.
This disadvantage was largely due to the arrangement of the connection nipple with the check valve connected to the pressure cartridge on the side facing the needle and the needle holder.
The invention relates to a further development of the tenon puller according to the main patent and is characterized in that the closed end of the compressed gas cartridge is arranged at a closed end of a union sleeve carrying a needle holder and that throttling devices are switched on between the check valve of the compressed gas cartridge and the needle holder.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 is a longitudinal section through the pin puller with the release lever in its position for uncorking the bottle and FIG. 2 is a longitudinal section through the pin puller with the release lever in its rest position.
In the figures, a denotes the needle holder provided with a longitudinally pierced needle c, likewise pierced in its longitudinal direction, which is screwed to a union sleeve b at n . This union sleeve b is threadedly connected to an additional sleeve x at m and the interior b1 of the former is sealed off from the outside by a sealing ring z7.
Inside the union sleeve b is the pressurized gas cartridge v with the built-in check valve y1, the closed end of the pressurized gas cartridge being arranged at the closed end of the union sleeve b carrying the needle holder u.
The connection nipple y of the check valve y1 is screwed to a cartridge holder g at o and in the cylindrical space g. Of the cartridge holder g that surrounds the connection nipple y, a sealing ring z.4 is provided, which rests on the cylindrical part of the connection nipple y, so that the part of the interior space g., of the cartridge holder g facing the check valve y1, is sealed against the interior space b1 of the union sleeve b,
while on the end of the cartridge holder g facing away from the pressurized gas cartridge v there is a sealing ring which seals against the thread o1 of the cartridge holder g, through which the cartridge holder g is connected to the additional sleeve x, with that of the pressurized gas cartridge v turned end of the cartridge holder g an annular shoulder g ;; owns that g, against a sealing ring; a valve cap nut z2 under the action of a return spring k applies.
A double-armed release lever h, which is held in its rest position by a spring k, is rotatably mounted on the pin i fastened in the sleeve x. Inside the sleeve x there is a spacer cup f with a through hole f1 which, with its end facing the pressurized gas cartridge v, rests against the end of the cartridge holder g facing away from the pressurized gas cartridge v and the sealing ring z $ and with its other open end, in which the ring-shaped diaphragm seal z9 is held,
rests against an inner shoulder of the additional sleeve x. The position of the opening members of the check valve y1 is determined by this spacer cup f.
The inner part of the diaphragm seal z9 is held between the head e1 of a valve pin e and a washer s against which the return spring k rests. Against this washer .s a throttle sleeve d screwed onto the valve pin e with two through holes d1, d2.
The essentially cylindrical valve cap nut z, which protrudes into the hollow cylindrical end of the connection nipple y facing away from the pressurized gas cartridge v and equipped with the sealing ring g, at its end remote from the pressurized gas cartridge v, is also on the valve pin e screwed on.
The operation of the pin puller is as follows: After the pin of the bottle is pierced with the needle c, the valve pin e is pushed against the action of the spring k in the direction of the check valve y1 by pressing the release lever h.
After the valve cap nut z2 comes into contact with the check valve y1, the check valve is opened when the release lever h is pushed in further, whereby a connection between the interior of the compressed gas cartridge v and the space g2 is established.
When the non-return valve y1 opens, the sealing ring g, is removed at the same time; the valve cap nut z2 from the ring-shaped shoulder g5 of the cartridge holder g.
The pressure medium of the pressurized gas cartridge can now enter the space f2 of the spacer cup f through the hole d;, the threads and the hole dl of the throttle sleeve d and passes through the hole f 1 </ I > of the latter and the threads o1 into the interior b1 of the union sleeve b and from there through the bore of the needle c into the interior of the bottle, in order to push the pin out from the inside of the bottle.
In the illustrated embodiment, a cartridge is used with a non-return valve that is not cushioned. This requires the presence of an additional spring-loaded shut-off valve, namely the valve cap nut z2, which is under the action of the return spring k. After the check valve y1 has opened, the pressure in the pressurized gas cartridge v and in space g2 is the same.
The check valve y1, which can move freely to and fro, will therefore not close by itself. The closure of the interior of the pressurized gas cartridge v from the exterior, however, is effected by the sealing ring g. The valve cap nut z Compared to known tenon pullers that can be actuated by gas pressure, the tenon puller according to the invention has the advantage that
that a full or half-empty compressed gas cartridge can be removed from the cartridge holder g at any time by unscrewing the sleeve x, without the cartridge having to be emptied beforehand. Furthermore, the gas throttling is inevitably set by the throttle sleeve d and is not dependent on the lever actuation.
Finally, by sealing off the interior of the sleeve x with the diaphragm seal z9, the diaphragm seal z9 bent in the direction towards the connection nipple y when the lever is actuated again through the gas then immediately flowing into the cavity of the spacer cup f together with the valve pin e is pressed to the right, which the operator perceives that the lever exerts a sudden increase in counter pressure on the operating thumb.
This mode of operation prompts the operator not to leave the lever in the depressed state, but to release it again immediately after pressing it in briefly in order to prevent too much gas suddenly flowing into the bottle, which it could not withstand. The inventive arrangement of the closed end of the compressed gas cartridge at the closed end of the cap sleeve (b) carrying the needle holder (a) also prevents liquid particles from escaping from the pressure medium to a large extent.
