Composable and expandable storage shelf The invention relates to an assemblable and expandable storage shelf, for example bookshelf, which preferably has ladder-shaped side parts with the shelf plates carry the cross bars.
Two types of such shelves are known. One type is intended for fastening to the wall, with each side part being fastened to the wall with a screw at the top and bottom. This type of shelves consists of only two different construction parts, namely the side panels and the shelf panels (or instead of the shelf panels box-shaped storage cabinets).
The other type is intended to be set up free-standing on the floor, the side parts are provided with feet and are held together by means of special back parts. In the case of Fieser Art shelves, the back parts are added as a third component.
The aim of the invention is to create an intermediate form between these two types of shelving which combines the advantages of both and, moreover, has a number of other advantages.
The invention therefore relates to an assemblable and expandable storage shelf, the äus Regalplatfien and side parts with front and rear posts and between these posts on arranged cross bars for receiving the shelf plates, which is characterized in that the side parts below @ on the The front side is provided with a single foot to support it on the floor, while their backs are supported against the wall due to the weight of the shelf, and that the
Side parts are held by the shelf plates in their mutual lateral distance from each other. As with the already known shelves, the side parts of the shelf according to an embodiment form according to the invention can advantageously be made of a continuous piece of wire material. In order to achieve the required stability, the back post is expediently made stronger than the front post.
The back post can consist of two wires running side by side, between which the rods are attached. The back post can also consist of a tube with an oval cross-section, wel Ches has holes for receiving the rods, which can be connected to the tube by welding. In both cases, the back post is preferably extended at its lower end and bent forward in order to form a strut which runs obliquely to the floor and which merges into the front post at its end which is supported against the floor.
Because the side part is supported on the floor at its front side, it is achieved that the rear post of the side part is pressed against the wall due to the weight of the shelf.
Some embodiments of the shelf according to the invention are illustrated in the drawing. 1 and 2 show perspective views of the new shelf in two embodiments, the shelf in both cases consisting of two compartments. The two embodiments shown differ only in terms of the course of the front post of the side parts. 3 and 4 show two details of these two embodiments on a larger scale.
FIG. 5 shows a side view of a side part with a back post consisting of an oval tube. Fig. 6 and 7 show on a larger scale individual units of this embodiment.
In the embodiments according to FIGS. 1 to 4, the ladder-shaped side parts are formed in a manner known per se from wire material preferably coated with plastic. The side parts rest with one foot 2 on the floor and at the same time support themselves against the wall 3 with the rear post. The middle side part is attached to the wall by means of a screw 4 for the purpose of lateral fixation. The other side parts do not need to be attached to the wall, as they are securely held in the lateral direction by the inserted shelf plates 5, which engage by means of the hook-shaped fittings 6 around the cross bars of the side parts.
Putting the shelf together is extremely easy; you only need to align the side panels loosely against the wall and then insert the shelves. After the whole shelf unit is fitted in the desired location, only one of the side parts needs to be attached to the wall by means of a screw 4 or the like.
Since the shelf should have a relatively large height (in the embodiment shown about 190 cm), a reinforcement of the back post is necessary in order to give the side parts sufficient resistance to bending. According to Fig. 1 and 2, the back post is formed for this purpose from two side by side, consisting of one piece wires 7 (see in particular Fig. 3), between which the rods 8, preferably, are attached by welding.
At the bottom, the cross-section, which is doubled in this way, points to the back post 7 and is bent forward and lengthened to form an inclined strut 9, which is supported at its free end against the floor and meets the front post 10 there, as best shown in FIG .
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 to 7 be the back post consists of a tube 11, preferably, of oval cross-section, with holes into which the rods 8 protrude. The connection is preferably made by welding. In this case, too, the back post is extended downward and bent into a sloping strut, as in the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2. Above is the tube 11 with a hole 12 for receiving a fastening screw and a cover 13 for Seal the tube. At the bottom, the tube 11 is preferably bent in the manner shown in FIG. 7, and closed by a cover 14.
The front post 10 protrudes into a hole in the tube 11, as shown in FIG. The connection can also be made here by welding.
The foot 2 of the side parts can either consist of a material which has a high coefficient of friction with respect to the floor, or it can be covered with such a material, for example a ribbed rubber plate. In this case it is also conceivable to dispense with the fastening screws on the wall entirely, since the friction against the floor or the friction of the back post against the wall already provides the necessary stability in many cases. The back post can also be covered with a material that increases friction. If desired, the foot 2 can also be attached to the floor, for example by screws.
