Calendar The present invention relates to a calendar according to the claim of the main patent, that is to say comprising a date drum rotatably and axially movable inside a casing and bearing, arranged in a helix on its outer face , the dates from 1 to 31 intended to appear one by one in an aperture presented by said envelope, a days drum coaxial with the date drum and bearing regularly distributed around its perimeter the indications of the days of the week, and a disengageable coupling of the tined to maintain normally said solid drums in rotation,
said openwork drum comprising at least a part accessible from the outside and being connected to an element of said coupling so as to be able to pass this element from an engaged position in which said drums are integral in rotation, to a disengaged position , the day drum can then be rotated freely around its axis independently of the other.
The calendar which is the subject of the present invention is characterized in that the disengageable coupling is normally held in the coupling position by a spring and in that said drums are immobilized in each position where a date appears in the window. , by a positive locking device subjected to the action of said spring.
In the schedule given by way of example in the main patent, the device for immobilizing said drums in each of said positions comprises an arcuate elastic blade, housed in the wall of the pen cap. This blade has a boss in its middle, which can engage in one of the seven longitudinal grooves that the date drum has in its outer face.
The inventors have found that it is possible to simplify the construction of this calendar by eliminating this arched blade and by using the spring which ensures the coupling of the two drums together to immobilize the latter in each of said positions.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the calendar, object of the invention, in which the calendar is mounted on a ballpoint pen.
Fig. 1 is a partial axial section of this pen, and FIG. 2, a perspective view on a larger scale of different parts of FIG. 1, axially offset with respect to each other.
The calendar shown in the drawing is incorporated into a ballpoint pen, such as that described in the main patent. Like the latter, it also includes a lower body 15a and a cap which is screwed onto each other. A central pusher 12 makes it possible to control a retractable cartridge (not shown) in a known manner. A window 19, made in the wall of the cap allows it to see one of the dates engraved in the exterior face of a date drum 5a.
The latter, housed inside the cap 1a, has, in its inner face, a helical cut 3a engaged on a corresponding cut 4a that has, in its outer face, the upper part of a fixed guide member 2a integral with the cap 1a. This guide member 2a is fixed to the cap 1a by a bearing surface 24 forcibly engaged in the lower part of the capu chon la.
In its lower part (not shown), the organ 2a has a threaded bearing surface which protrudes from the cap la and which is screwed into the body 15a of the pen. This threaded bearing makes it possible to separate the cap 1a from the body 15a to carry out, for example, the replacement of the cartridge of the pen when its reserve of ink is exhausted.
A drum 11a, outside the cap 1a, bears, on its outside face, the initials of the days of the week. This drum 11a is part of a part, the knurled upper part 11b of which constitutes a control member. This knurled part can in fact be operated very easily - both in rotation and in the axial direction.
A coupling sleeve 25 is forcibly engaged by its upper part, knurled axially, in the part 11a, 11b. At its lower end, the sleeve 25 has a flange 26 and a tooth 27 projecting from the underside of the flange 26.
This tooth 27 is normally engaged in one of the seven notches 28 made in the upper part of a drive sleeve 29 engaged freely, like the sleeve 25,. on the pusher 12 and the lower end of which abuts against a shoulder of the bearing surface of the guide member 2a, which has the cutout 4a. Below the notches 28, the sleeve 29 has a flange 30, which abuts against an inner shoulder of the cap 1a. By virtue of the two stops formed by this shoulder of the capu chon 1a and the cut bearing surface of the member 2a, the sleeve chon 25 is maintained in a fixed axial position. On the other hand, it can rotate around its axis.
An inner radial tooth 31 which is presented by a ring 32 crimped in the drum 5a is engaged in a longitudinal groove 33 which the sleeve 29 has in its outer lateral face, so as to make the drum 5a integral in rotation with the sleeve 29, whatever or its axial position with respect to the organ 2a.
The part 11 a, 11 b and the coupling sleeve 25 which is integral with it are movable axially against the action of a spring 17a housed around the sleeve chon 25 and compressed between the flange 26 and the lower end of a barrel 34 forcibly engaged in the upper part of the cap 1a. The upper part of the barrel 34 forms a flange 36 which retains the ring of a clip 35 at the bottom of a housing of the upper part of the cap 1a.
Normally the spring 17a keeps the sleeves 25 and 29 coupled, so that a rotation of the member 11b drives the drums 11a and 5a. On the other hand, when the member 11b is moved axially against the action of the action of the spring 17a, the tooth 27 can be disengaged from the notch 28 in which it is engaged and make the drum 11a free to rotate independently. drum 5a.
Seven conical recesses 37 are made in the upper face of the flange 36. They are regularly spaced around the entire periphery of this flange. A flat ring 38 is forcibly engaged in the part (11a, 11b). Seven hemispherical protuberances 39 protrude from the underside of this ring 38. The protrusions 39, which can be stamped, have a height less than the length of the tooth 27. Their arrangement corresponds to that of the recesses 37.
The ring 38 extends immediately above the flange 36, against which it is pressed by the spring 17a. Thanks to the protuberances 39 and the recesses 37, the drum 11a can occupy seven different angular positions relative to the cap la. In each of these seven angular positions, the drum 5a is immobilized and a date appears exactly in the center of the window 19.
In order to cause the drum 11a to pass from one of its angular positions to the next, it is necessary to exert a certain moment of rotation on the control member 11b, so that it moves axially with the drum 11a, the ring 38 and sleeve 25, against the action of spring 17a, over a distance long enough to cause protrusions 39 to emerge from recesses 37 in which they are engaged. The axial displacement thus undergone by the sleeve 25, integral with the part (11a, 11b), is at most equal to the height of the projections 39.
As these have a height less than the length of tooth 27, sleeve 25 remains coupled to sleeve chon 29.
The operation of the calendar described is moreover exactly the same as that of the calendar which is described in the main patent.
Thanks to the fact that the means for immobilizing the drums are subjected to the action of the same spring as that which maintains the coupling formed by the sleeves 25 and 29 normally in the clutch position, the construction of the calendar being the object of the present invention and its assembly are significantly simplified.
